I visited before 4:30 PM on Saturday. Even though the store had only been open for 30 minutes, it was already crowded. There were some people drinking alone, so seats were opening up quickly. I was full from my second stop, so I didn't order much food and had 4 drinks. They had loach on the menu, which was rare, so I want to try various dishes next time.

Today's business trip meal ^_^ Today, I went to the casual bar Hirayama for standing drinks. The drink prices here are great, almost all drinks are 380 yen. I ordered local sake, beef hormone stew, and potato salad! This was enough for me. I even had a refill of local sake. The potato salad and stew were incredibly delicious and satisfying. It warmed me up from the inside. But, I wanted to drink a little more. (^_^;) I wasn't sure what to do. So, I decided to go to a second bar for another round. I was very satisfied. I will definitely come back here again.

I have visited a few times. Opening early in the morning is great for me personally! Everything is really good! The strong men welcome you with a smile! Even if you go in alone, before you know it, you're drinking with regular customers! I recommend the hormone stew!

I have been to various standing bars while on business trips, but this is my first time in Kansai. This place has a wide variety of menu options and the beer pouring technique is excellent. You can feel the love for alcohol here. The appetizers were also delicious!

I visited the restaurant around 9:30 PM on Friday. It was almost full, but I was seated by the wall. I ordered twisted chicken with ponzu sauce, minced meat miso with green peppers, grilled dumplings, yakisoba with fried egg topping, and fried rice (not on the menu but they made it specially for me). I had 5 drinks for 4950 yen, which was very reasonable. I love this lively restaurant with friendly staff. Thank you for the delicious meal! ☺️

I often pass by this restaurant, and it is always bustling from the evening. This was my first time visiting, and I found the atmosphere lively and pleasant. The food was delicious. The specialty mudfish is worth trying at least once. I'm good with just trying it once though (it's delicious though, haha).

I had some time to spare before meeting up in Kitahama, and realized it was almost 4 o'clock without having eaten lunch. I searched for a place to eat and found a charming restaurant that was just about to open at 4 o'clock. It was a cozy standing bar with a great atmosphere. I planned to just have a little snack, but starting with the delicious fresh sashimi of amberjack, everything I tried was tasty, and I ended up feeling full. The loaches swimming energetically in the tank added to the lively atmosphere, and by around 5 o'clock, the place was bustling with customers. I was happy to have discovered such a great restaurant and left with a satisfied feeling. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kitahama.

It's been a while since my last visit. Even though it was my first time last time and some time has passed, I was really happy that they remembered my face. The food is still delicious as always, and I appreciate how quick they are from ordering to serving. The fried eggs are voluminous and tasty. The owner mentioned that they are particular about their eggs. The sashimi dishes are consistently delicious! Thank you for the meal tonight. I will definitely come back again!

Every Friday is a day off from drinking. Today, I'm thinking of eating at an izakaya on my way home. It seems that in general, people say they will drink at an izakaya and then go home. Well, I just heard that. (laughs) Anyway, let's go to Hira Yama-san, a place I've been going to for about 20 years. It's a pioneer in this area near Kitahama, although many other standing bars have opened up. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I happened to be in front of a tank where loaches were swimming. The famous "grilled loach" dish at this place is prepared by taking the loaches from this tank. It's like a special seat. Let's start with a draft beer. Oh, but this week has been quite eventful. Everyone seems to be saying whatever they want. (laughs) Well, let's drink and forget about it. Oh, but the draft beer at this place is always delicious. The smoothness of the foam is irresistible. For the first dish, I'll go with the grilled loach. When you come here, you have to order this dish first. The restaurant is busy on Friday night, but surprisingly, there are many people drinking alone. The clientele here is good, with well-mannered customers enjoying their drinks, so it's comfortable even when alone. The secret to the popularity of this place is the delicious food. Everything I eat here is delicious. Yellowtail hormone, red sea squirt, grilled sesame, salt-grilled sardine, cream cheese, meat miso, and pickled melon were all delicious. Oh, I almost forgot another exquisite dish I was nibbling on while drinking! Gossiping about others (laughs) Is there any better dish to accompany the drinks? (laughs) The food is delicious, so the drinks go down smoothly. Gossiping also flows. (laughs) I had a lot to drink. It's always a great drinking spot. My "evil" has been "purified." (laughs) I'll definitely visit again.

Today is Friday. I finished work earlier than planned, so I left the office around 4:30 pm feeling like having a casual standing drink. While searching on the Tabelog app, I stumbled upon a place called <Oshu Sakaba Hirayama> near Kitahama Station. It wasn't too crowded, so I decided to give it a try. After entering the store, I took off my coat and headed to the standing drink counter. I ordered a "draft beer/418 yen" first. I asked if they had bottled beer, but unfortunately, they didn't. The draft beer they served was in a glass with a bit too much foam. For food, I ordered "potato salad/418 yen" and "meat tofu/528 yen." I noticed that the price of the potato salad had increased by 100 yen based on past reviews. While munching on the potato salad, I added a "rum highball/418 yen" as the cooking of the meat tofu seemed to take some time. This is a drink made with Bacardi rum, soda, and lemon. It had a nice balance of flavor, and I enjoyed sipping on it for a while. The meat tofu was simply stewed for a short time, but it had a sweet taste and was delicious. After finishing the drinks, I ordered the "sauce yakisoba/528 yen" as the last dish. When asked if I wanted a fried egg on top, I impulsively said yes, but later realized that the fried egg was actually 380 yen as listed on the menu. Oops, I might have fallen for their sales talk. The sauce yakisoba that came out was vibrant with the red yolk of the fried egg. It was piping hot and had a firm and chewy thick noodle, which was delicious. I was able to pay with PayPay at the end. After paying around 2,500 yen, I happily headed home.

The second new discovery in Kitahama is "Taishu Sakaba Hirayama". I visited on a weekday at 7pm and it was packed. This must be a great place. Everyone seemed to be ordering the dojo kabayaki, so I tried it. It's one of the popular dishes here. The taste was okay. However, everything else I tried was a hit. The omelette with pickled ginger was delicious, the chicken sashimi was surprisingly good for the price, the amberjack collar salt-grilled was amazing, and the meat and tofu stew had a gentle flavor that I wanted more of. The chef's banter with the customers was hilarious, no wonder it was full. - Dojo kabayaki 120 yen - Omelette (pickled ginger) 380 yen - Chicken sashimi 380 yen - Twisted chicken with ponzu sauce 480 yen - Amberjack collar salt-grilled 480 yen - Meat and tofu stew 480 yen

I stopped by Hirayama at Kitahama because it was unusually empty. I thought it was a beef shabu-shabu hot pot, but it was different. There was quite a lot of meat, served with ponzu sauce. The potato salad was also delicious. There was a tank in front of me with loaches, but I didn't order any (lol). #Izakaya #StandingBar #Shochu #PotatoSalad #KitahamaGourmet #KitahamaDrinking

When I come to Osaka for business trips or travel, I stay at a nearby APA Hotel, so I often visit HIRAYAMA, which is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. I leave my luggage at the hotel, then start with a light snack here before going on a sake-hopping tour to "Yamato" and "Wasurenagusa" in Umeda. Since it is within walking distance of Umeda, there is no noisy atmosphere of Umeda, and you can enjoy sake and food quietly in the business district at night. The "Wagyu Hormone Stew" (¥580) is a specialty stew of Wasurenagusa group. The chewy hormone with its sweet fatty part is just delicious! The stew broth is amazing! The "Pork Kimchi Tamagotoji" (¥380) is a voluminous and affordable menu. Although pork kimchi is usually stir-fried, the addition of egg makes it quite delicious with a mellow taste. The "Lotus Root Kinpira" (¥380) is a classic menu item at the restaurant. It is only available if it is not on the large plate at the counter that day. Enjoy the crunchy texture of lotus root while the slight spiciness adds a nice accent. The "Coarse-ground Wiener" (¥480) is a simple boiled sausage. The crisp texture is reminiscent of a Schüttelwurst. I also visited two weeks ago, so here are the dishes from that visit as well. The "Meat Tofu" (¥480) is a Kansai-style meat and tofu dish. The beef flavor comes out in the clear broth. It is delicious as it is, but I asked the staff to bring me some white rice. The broth was so delicious that I poured it over the rice. The "Pickled Radish in Moromi" (¥280) is a sweet vinegar pickled radish, but it was my first time trying it in moromi style. It seems like the sweetness has increased a bit by pickling it in moromi. It makes me want to have some sake. The "Grilled Chicken Neck with Salt" (¥380) is made with chicken neck meat, which is firm and muscular as chickens move their necks constantly. It is high in protein and has a firm texture with a good bite. When eaten simply with salt, you can also taste the umami of the neck meat. The restaurant was full that day, but the young man next to me turned out to be from Tokyo, so he started talking to me, thinking I was a regular, so I introduced him to recommended dishes and the group's restaurants "Wasurenagusa" and "Yamato."

I visited the restaurant just after 8 pm and was able to enter just in time. The atmosphere inside was quite lively, with many regular customers. I ordered a draft beer (390 yen), a highball (390 yen), amberjack sashimi (480 yen), potato salad (280 yen), stuffed bell peppers (380 yen), pork kimchi and egg stir-fry (380 yen), omelette with minced beef (380 yen), stingray fin changja (380 yen), grilled loach (120 yen), and yakisoba with sauce (480 yen). Overall, the prices were not too high. The food took a bit of time to come out due to the crowd. The most delicious dish was the amberjack sashimi, which had a good amount of fat. The pork kimchi and egg stir-fry, stuffed bell peppers, and omelette were also great with the drinks. The grilled loach was unique and recommended. Although the prices were low, I ended up spending 9600 yen. Even after calculating, it seems like it should have only been around 7000 yen.

Alcohol goes well with the food. I was invited to the Friday night work closing party and arrived around 9pm. The restaurant was bustling and had a great atmosphere. The dishes we ordered were omelette, yakisoba, garlic stir-fried beef, and goya champuru. They were all homemade and had just the right amount of seasoning, making them perfect for enjoying with drinks. We ordered beer, dark beer, lemon sour, and more beer. The yakisoba, in particular, had a deliciously fragrant sauce and was very satisfying, especially with the topping of egg adding a creamy texture. I would definitely want to visit this lively restaurant again!

If you go east from Kitahama Station, there is a corner where there are many standing bars. I had known about this place for a while and wanted to go, but it was smoking allowed so I never went. When I found out it became non-smoking, I decided to go. It's a rare place in Osaka where you can eat loach. I can't think of any other place that serves loach. The restaurant has a large counter that is not in a U-shape, but close to it, with counter seats facing the wall and the window. You can order loach from one skewer. Of course, I ordered the loach. I also ordered the omelet with pickled ginger. The fluffy omelet with pickled ginger has a refreshing spiciness that is delicious. The prices are also reasonable. The atmosphere is good, and most importantly, it has become non-smoking (you can smoke outside), which makes me very happy.

This is a shop where regular customers and new customers always drink together in a friendly atmosphere. On this day, customers who met for the first time were having a great time chatting about various topics. The photo is of "tonpei-yaki." It was delicious, cost-effective, and very satisfying. Thank you for the meal! ☺︎

This popular restaurant seems to be unaffected by the impact of COVID-19, with a crowded atmosphere as usual. The dishes shown in the photo are: Dojō skewers, octopus sashimi, and yakisoba with a fried egg on top. While there are few standout dishes, everything you order here is guaranteed to be good. The drinks are reasonably priced, allowing you to enjoy eating and drinking without worry. Thank you for the wonderful meal! ☺️

As lively as ever! I arrived before 6 o'clock and it was almost full! A senior colleague who arrived earlier had already had quite a bit to drink, so we ordered quickly! In addition to firefly squid and shumai, we also ordered the unique dish of beef tenderloin. The shumai was delicious and a great find! The tenderloin was also good, and looking at the dishes of other customers, you could feel the homemade touch. It's becoming a good season!
