The shop was established in 1866 (Keio 2), making it quite a historical place. When it comes to shrimp snacks (shrimp senbei), "Yukari" from Sakakaku Sohonpo Honten, founded in 1889 in Aichi Prefecture, is well-known nationwide. Aichi Prefecture has the highest production volume and a domestic market share of about 95% for shrimp snacks. Although nowadays many of the shrimp used as ingredients are imported, in the past, shrimp were plentiful in the nearby Ise Bay and Mikawa Bay. Based on the recommendation of the shop assistant, I purchased the following item: Summer Orange Shrimp Senbei - 540 yen A slightly sweet shrimp senbei with a light orange flavor, this limited edition product is perfect for early summer.
