After leaving Kanmei Restaurant, I arrived at the Yoshii Osaka Ekimae Second Building store, located in the same Second Building. Yoshii is also found in Sennichimae, Dotonbori, and Umeda, but this was my first visit to this location. As soon as I entered the store, I headed to the counter seats in the center. Wait a minute, isn't this a standing bar? When it comes to Anichari, it's a well-known fact in the Tabelog world that he is the man who looks best standing while drinking. I should have come here sooner. The atmosphere inside the store was just like a typical casual izakaya, a true salaryman's paradise. But, young groups and women were also visiting, making it a place suitable for people of all ages and genders. I ordered a draft beer, which was Asahi Super Dry, and it was only 300 yen (tax included)⁈ There are cheaper places in the station building, but at this price, why complain? I didn't drink enough at the Chinese restaurant before, so I definitely had to order this. I ended up having three glasses. I quickly checked the menu... Wait, all the items are so cheap! It's unbelievable. Usually, if drinks are cheap, the food is expensive, but how is this place making a profit with such low prices? It must be the result of corporate efforts. I ordered the following menu items: - Tsubazukuri (sashimi) - Kushi katsu (skewers) - Potato fries First, the Tsubazukuri. There were three different types, each priced at 350 yen. Isn't that amazing? The sashimi wasn't bad either. Next, the kushi katsu. When it comes to Osaka, you have to have kushi katsu. It's been a while since I've had it, and this lineup included: potato, shrimp, beef, quail egg, and negima (tuna and green onion). For people from Nagoya, kushi katsu might not be associated with beef, but in Osaka, beef kushi katsu is common. I have been going to Osaka for over 10 years now, ever since there were no places in Nagoya where you could eat beef kushi katsu. The portions were small due to the price, but I was satisfied with the kushi katsu. And of course, the must-have accompaniment for beer is gyoza and potato fries. It's not good to consume too many carbohydrates, but this combination is irresistible. The service was efficient and the staff were polite, even though they seemed a bit indifferent. They greeted me properly, moved quickly, and the speed of serving the dishes was fast. There was nothing to complain about. The bill for the above items came to around 1500 yen. Isn't that an amazing price? This place has definitely become my favorite spot. I didn't notice even more affordable menu items during this visit, so I'll be sure to try them next time.
