I was invited by a customer to Bistro La Atori located in the back of the Toei Hotel in Takasago. The restaurant has a hotel-like atmosphere with a sparkling wine all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat dishes for 3,000 yen for 90 minutes. The menu has a wide variety of options to choose from, and the food choices for the all-you-can-eat are plentiful. The atmosphere is perfect for a casual drink with a client. The dishes I tried were delicious, especially the seafood carpaccio and the Wagyu beef taliata. I look forward to trying the rotisserie chicken and Wagyu beef hamburger next time. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit for the all-you-can-eat and drink option.

I went for lunch. It was around 11:55 on a weekday. After 12 o'clock, it got almost full. I had the daily pasta lunch for ¥990. It comes with bread and you can get seconds. You can also get a larger portion for an additional ¥250 with a salad bar. I was also tempted by the daily fish kabayaki and shrimp chili, but I chose the pasta. It was a walnut and ragu cream pasta, I think. The cream was rich and the bread was delicious.

Today's lunch special includes a salad bar, bread or rice, and soup for 990 yen including tax. For an additional 100 yen, you can add a drink using meal tickets. I visited for the first time because they had my favorite dish, which was the Karasukarei Meuniere & Crab Cream Croquette. It was as delicious as I had hoped.

(2023.03.06) The Toei Hotel, located near the intersection of Watanabe Street, may not be a large hotel, but it seems that a considerable amount of effort has been put into its food and beverage department... I heard that not only the breakfast, but also the quality of the dishes served in the restaurant is high, so I decided to visit. The front lounge facing the Jonan Line has a "KAMAKIRI COFFEE" attached, but today's purpose was to visit "Bistro Atori" located on the alley side of the west. During breakfast, a buffet of dishes is lined up at the counter, along with about 30 tables and terrace seats and private rooms. The interior of the restaurant, with white floor tiles, exudes a bright and open atmosphere, making it a comfortable space. The lunch menu includes daily specials and pasta specials, as well as teppanyaki hamburg, sirloin grill, beef steak bowl, and seared Oizaki beef bowl. However, by the time it was past 12:30, the daily special lunch was already sold out, so I decided to try the popular "Teppanyaki Hamburg," which seemed to have confidence in its meat dishes. As I enjoyed the salad brought from the salad bar, the hamburger that was served was surprising in its size, being over 50mm in diameter, and the meat juice overflowed when I tried to cut it with a fork... It was a superb dish with juiciness and sweetness of meat juice from being cooked medium rare.

Bistro Atori ~BISTRO LA ATORI~ @ 'Fukuoka Toei Hotel' has a wide range of restaurant options, as well as the restaurant at the inn. I want to study the cuisine and management by dining at the restaurant 'Bistro Atori' on the first floor of the annex of 'Fukuoka Toei Hotel'. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is bright and casual. Let's start by checking the menu. It seems to cater to guests who want to enjoy a light meal with tapas. There are categories for fish and meat dishes, with the meat dishes having a sense of luxury. They also offer "Ozaki beef" in their lineup. It's nice that they finish with pasta and risotto. The menu seems to clearly target both hotel guests and local diners. The first dishes we tried were the oven-baked tripe and white kidney beans for 790 yen, and the abalone and liver vegetable stew for 1,380 yen. The tripe, cooked in the style of Fiorentina, was served hot from the oven. The garlic rice with the famous Ozaki beef was also good, with a nice aroma when cooked. The menu may be a bit difficult to highlight due to its wide range, but overall, it was a good casual hotel restaurant. It would be great if the Ozaki beef could become a specialty of the restaurant. I felt like having a delicious beef bowl after a long time, so I went to a restaurant. I went during lunch time, after 1 pm, and got a drink and dessert included. To be honest, it was past 1 pm so I felt like I could have just said I came here anyway (laughs). But, the beef bowl was really delicious. It had tasty sweet and savory soy-sauce flavored beef piled on top of rice, with colorful grilled vegetables and a half-cooked egg. Writing this now is making me crave it again. The side dishes in the set were simmered hijiki seaweed and some kind of seasoned dish, both with a variety of textures that were enjoyable. And as for today's dessert...maybe the quality differs depending on the dish you order? (I think it's probably the same though) It was a cheesecake and chiffon cake with pineapple, and it was delicious. I ended up feeling so satisfied that I might end up coming back again for several days in a row.

I used to love the seared beef bowl at Ozaki Gyuu, but today I tried the daily lunch special which was omurice and menchi katsu, my favorite. This time, just like before, I arrived after 1 pm and got the special deal of a dessert and drink worth 400 yen included. The lunch set was amazing, starting with soup, unlimited salad refills, a delicious main course, dessert, and a drink. The omurice was fluffy with a refined sauce, and the menchi katsu was full of ingredients and had an interesting texture. However, the downside was that the parfait dessert was mostly filled with cornflakes.

I made a reservation the day before with an acquaintance for dinner, and for 3980 yen (excluding tax), we enjoyed a spring atrium course with free drinks. The food was satisfying and the price was reasonable. The menu included: - Assorted 4 types of hors d'oeuvres (horse meat carpaccio with gorgonzola sauce, firefly squid with vinegar miso, nanohana with kombu, fava beans with anchovy sauté) - Spring fish carpaccio with fruit tomatoes and karasumi - Asparagus Bismarck style with cherry blossoms - Swordfish and miso cream cheese cutlet salad - Black Angus beef seared steak with gelato - Tender pork and spring cabbage oil pasta - Strawberry mousse in mochi wrap There were also free-flowing drinks including Asahi Super Dry beer and hard cider, as well as wine and cocktails. Considering the location, menu, and price, I believe it was worth the value.

I knew about its existence but for some reason had never visited this place before, so I decided to go alone this time. The restaurant on the 1st floor of Toei Hotel is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It seems to also serve as the breakfast venue for hotel guests, as it is quite spacious. Due to the impact of the new coronavirus, the salad buffet will be temporarily discontinued. The daily lunch menu had a sample displayed at the entrance, and on this day, it was sautéed mackerel and winter vegetables with cabbage and ginger sauce for 830 yen (excluding tax). However, being weak for limited edition items, I ordered the limited quantity Ozaki beef hamburger for 1,390 yen (excluding tax). You can choose between soup & bread or miso soup & rice (white rice or mixed grain rice), so I chose mixed grain rice and miso soup! You can also choose between Caesar or carrot dressing for the salad, and I chose carrot dressing. I sat at the counter, where there were mostly women, but there were also a few salarymen, which made me feel a bit relieved (laughs). There were about 5 people working actively in the kitchen, and 4 to 5 staff members in the hall, creating a lively atmosphere. It arrived in about 10 minutes, but wait, it's white rice instead of mixed grain rice... oh well, it's fine (laughs). The hamburger was cooked with a gentle heat, and I was told to adjust the grilling to my liking. When I cut into the hamburger, it was cooked medium... There was a fair amount of onions grilled on the hot plate. As I tasted the hamburger, I could slightly feel the umami of the meat, but the sauce barely had any flavor (laughs). They provided a paper apron, so I thought there might be additional sauce, but there wasn't! The sauce was already on it, but surprisingly, it was too bland for me. Is this how you eat Ozaki beef...!? I'll try a different menu next time (laughs).

The half-pound Black Angus steak for 1500 yen (with fried potatoes) is reasonable and offers great value for money. I highly recommend it! There is also a one-pound steak available. The rice is probably 250 yen and the appetizer is 300 yen.

On a TV show called TVQ Otona na Terebi, there was a segment where Gushiken Yutaka and Fukuoka Yoshimoto's Combat Mitsu were searching for a Wagyu restaurant, and they introduced Oozaki beef from Bistro Atrii at Toei Hotel! Apparently, Oozaki beef is raised with care by Oozaki-san in Miyazaki, and it needs to be treated separately from Miyazaki beef. When I visited, they luckily had Oozaki beef tripe, so I ordered the tripe hot pot without hesitation. The appetizer was three types of sashimi. The tripe hot pot had a traditional soy sauce flavor with a jaw broth. Fresh tripe is often described as chewy, but Oozaki beef tripe has a fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth texture. I especially liked the porridge. They have a variety of Western menu items, so I'd like to try other dishes once the situation with the coronavirus settles down. They also had Japanese sake that they are particular about, although I'm not sure what else goes well with tripe hot pot besides that.

You can choose from brown rice, white rice, or bread for your meal, and you can even use PayPay for payment. The price includes a salad buffet. The last order is at 14:30, and by that time, the salad buffet starts to decrease. I had the hamburger steak at around 14:20 on a weekday, and it was still available. I also tried the steak, which I think was better. The hamburger steak was 1390 yen, while the steak was 1100 yen. The chicken dish looked delicious, but it was sold out.

A few years ago, I visited Bistro Atori in Fukuoka City, Chuo Ward. It is located on the first floor of the Toei Hotel. I ordered the sirloin steak (1200 yen) and the hamburger (750 yen). Both come with all-you-can-eat salad and bread. The steak was surprisingly tender and even came with foie gras at this price. The hamburger, however, was not as juicy as seen on TV and had a mediocre taste. Nevertheless, both dishes offer great value for the price.

I arrived at the restaurant around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Since it is located inside a hotel, the atmosphere is very nice. I ordered Vegetable Bagna Cauda, Potato Salad, Ozaki Beef Hamburg Steak, Ozaki Beef Taliata, Teppanyaki Napolitan, and Creme Brulee. The most delicious dish was the Ozaki Beef Taliata. Taliata is a simple Italian dish where thinly sliced grilled beef is served. The Ozaki beef, cooked medium rare with just the right amount of fat, was amazing. The meat was topped with thinly shaved cheese. All the dishes were beautifully presented and the atmosphere was great. The only downside was that the wait for the ordered items was too long.
