I had the beef cutlet lunch for 1,100 yen including tax. The demi-glace sauce with mustard reminded me of the taste of an old-fashioned Western-style restaurant. Personally, I find this sauce very delicious. It is the perfect sauce that complements the rich and flavorful beef cutlet, which takes time and effort to prepare. Of course, it also goes perfectly with white rice.

A long-established steakhouse in Kitashinchi with over 90 years of history, Komatsuya, which I had been curious about for a while but hadn't been able to visit until now. Finally, I was able to visit! I tried the Chef's special course, priced at 21,901 yen per person (excluding drinks). Here is a summary of the dishes I tried:
- Appetizer: Sliced raw ham with crisp vegetables. The combination with the ham was excellent.
- Cold beef consommé soup: Made with simmered beef tendons, this cold consommé soup was refreshing and perfect for the upcoming warmer season.
- Turbot piccata: Turbot fish cooked crispy and wrapped in thin egg. Served with aromatic vegetables and mayonnaise.
- Grilled fillet steak (medium): The steak was cooked to perfection with a nice charred crust and juicy inside. The flavor was amazing with just salt and pepper seasoning.
- Beef stew: A hearty beef stew with tender meat and a rich sauce that was cooked to perfection.
- Salad: A simple salad of cabbage, paprika, and onion slices dressed with vinegar.
- Baguette with butter: Served with butter to enjoy with the steak juices and stew sauce.
- Dessert: Vanilla ice cream with small sweets on the side.
- Tea: A fragrant black tea to finish off the meal.
Overall, the portion sizes may seem small to some, but for me, it was just right. The unique grilling technique of the steak and the rich flavor of the stew made the meal a delightful experience. I felt the history in the dishes and left the restaurant fully satisfied. I look forward to visiting again soon.

☆彡When you hear about curry at a steak specialty restaurant, you expect deliciousness. I was curious about the lunch menu at a long-established steak specialty restaurant in Kitashinchi, so I decided to try their curry during a weekday lunch. The small restaurant has 3 tables and 2 counter seats, and although you can't see the kitchen from your seat, the depth of the restaurant doesn't feel very large. I felt a sense of nostalgia with the tablecloth-covered tables, but also a bit of tension as I didn't want to mess up the curry. I ordered the Beef Cutlet Curry (1,300 yen) with a large size for an additional 300 yen, which came with a hot coffee. When the curry was served, I felt two things that were off. First, despite ordering a large size, it seemed small. The second was the clear lack of meat in the curry, which was unexpected for a steak specialty restaurant. The beef cutlet that came with the curry had a disappointing coating that seemed amateurish. I couldn't help but feel that the 1,600 yen I paid was not worth it. I wonder if ordering steak would result in something more satisfying. The curry was a letdown compared to what I had imagined.

Osaka Pay... Where can you even use it? Turns out there are actually plenty of restaurants nearby, like Komatsuya. They have menus in the 1000 yen range for lunch, although dinner can be pricey. I used up my Osaka Pay, which was 3000 yen, on a set with a 100g beefsteak for 2960 yen. I asked for it medium rare, but it was actually cooked more than I expected. It was a bit of a pricey lunch, but at least I was able to use up my Osaka Pay.

I was drawn in by the sign and appearance near the entrance of Kitashinchi and decided to try it out. I had the Beefsteak B (150 grams). The corn soup had almost no corn flavor. The meat was tough and had a lot of gristle for the price. The rice was also not great. The taste was simple, maybe just rock salt or pepper? The taste was good though. In the end, it seemed to be run by an elderly couple. They were trying their best.

Located near Kitashinchi Station, facing Route 2, this is a steakhouse specializing in beef steaks. First, the soup - a creamy soup served in a beautiful dish. Next, the salad - with lettuce, tomatoes, and bell peppers. We prioritize veggies first (lol). And then, the main steak! You can choose between bread or rice. The steak is grilled with a nice charred pattern, which gets you excited, right? The visual is on point (lol). I ordered mine cooked medium rare, and it looks great. The steak comes with potatoes and broccoli on the side. The potatoes were crispy and delicious, with a crunchy texture. Finally, I had warm tea with ice cream for dessert. Ice cream after a meal is always a treat (^-^) I'm full and satisfied, thank you for the meal.

I used to pass by this place often! It looked high-end and out of reach for me, but I heard they have a reasonably priced lunch set, so I decided to give it a try. It is located just a short walk from Exit 11-43 of Kitashinchi Station. The interior is based on the Art Nouveau style that was popular in Europe and America at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, creating a very sophisticated atmosphere. While their grilled beef cutlet is famous, I tried their popular "Beef Cutlet Lunch"! It arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. The beef cutlet is not the traditional thick and pink one from the Kobe area, but rather a thin, well-cooked piece of meat. The crispy coating and tender meat are delicious, but it is topped with a rich and mature black demiglace sauce. This might be a taste that divides opinions! The miso soup has a generous amount of onions and a slightly sweet wakame seaweed. The fact that coffee or tea is included after the meal is a nice touch. If you enjoy a deep and rich demiglace sauce, this place comes highly recommended!

Visited the steak restaurant "Aburi Beef Steak Komatsuya" in Kita-Shinchi. We tried the omakase course (around 20,000 yen per person), with the main steak being filet mignon. The steak is grilled and seasoned with salt beforehand, which is a unique feature. The meat is thick, lean, tender, and the simple salt seasoning brings out the delicious flavor of the meat. #BeefSteakKomatsuya #KitaShinchiSteak #KitaShinchiGourmet #OsakaSteak #BeefSteak #UmedaGourmet #UmedaSteak #SteakLover #Tanalogue

When I tried to explore a new lunch spot in Kitashinchi, I came across this place called Komatsuya. Established in 1931, they specialize in grilling beef steaks with just salt and pepper to bring out the natural flavor of the meat. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the Hat Boy Building in Kitashinchi, just across from Osaka Station. The interior has an antique feel with elegant white tablecloths, giving off a sense of history and sophistication. The lunch menu offers sets with miso soup, vegetables, bread or rice, and coffee or tea, making it convenient for office workers. The limited hamburger steak lunch is priced at 1100 yen (tax included), and the beef cutlet lunch is also 1100 yen. I opted for the beef cutlet lunch with rice and coffee afterwards. The beef cutlet was served with salad and a rich demi-glace sauce made from the beef stew at night. The meat was tender and the breading was crispy, not the heavy meaty kind that is popular nowadays. The rice complemented the sauce well. The miso soup was a nice touch instead of the usual soup. The coffee after the meal allowed me to relax and enjoy the experience. I look forward to trying the beef and onion sauté lunch next time. It was a delightful meal.

The lean meat was very tender and incredibly delicious! I really felt like I was trying this kind of lean meat for the first time! However, I felt that the cost performance was poor, maybe because the venue fee was high. The taste is around 3.7, but considering the price, I would give it a similar score.

The omakase course by the visiting chef at 6:00 PM on Saturday was delicious. The combination of beef tendon broth and consommé soup had a gelatin-like texture without actually containing gelatin, and was very tasty. The grilled meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful despite being grilled.

This is truly a top-notch steakhouse. The interior is retro and cozy. The meat is seasoned only with salt and pepper, without any garlic or butter, and the filet steak, starting from 130g, seems like a large portion at first glance, but even 200g can be easily finished due to its lightness. It is recommended not to grill the meat with a visible grid pattern too much. The meat has a firm texture yet is tender, and the umami flavor spreads in the mouth when chewed. Since there are no unnecessary ingredients, you can taste the natural umami of the lean meat. You won't feel heavy even if you eat a lot. The appetizers like the prosciutto and soup were also delicious. I would like to visit this restaurant again soon.

The meat was paper-thin! Is this what they call beef cutlet? I waited a long time looking forward to it, only to receive a thin-sliced meat cutlet. It's been a while since I had lunch, and this is making me want to cry. 1080 yen... more than half of it is for the location. If you're not going to provide good service, then don't offer a service lunch.

"Located in Osaka's Kita-Shinchi district, Komatsuya is a long-established restaurant founded in 1931. I tried their Chef's special course menu (9 dishes) for ¥15,000. The meal started with champagne and ham as appetizers. The soup was a beef consommé jelly made without any gelatin, only collagen from the beef, which melted smoothly in the mouth. The seafood dish was a white fish piccata resembling an omelette. The highlight was the special fillet mignon, grilled to perfection with a simple seasoning of salt and pepper. It was tender and delicious. Bread was served with cute butter. A salad and beef stew followed, with a rich and flavorful sauce. The dessert was vanilla ice cream with a tasty wafer. I chose coffee to end the meal, served in a charming cup and saucer. The portion of meat was generous but did not leave me feeling heavy. The restaurant is run by a family, and the owner kindly explained the dishes. It's a great place with a nostalgic feel."
