It was a bit of a wait, about 15 minutes, but the atmosphere inside was calm and I had no other plans, so I waited leisurely while looking at my phone. When it was brought to me, it looked very cute. The strawberry sauce was served separately so you could pour it on as you like. The Santa pig decoration added to the Christmas vibe. The dishes were brought to the table and they looked satisfying. The Mont Blanc dessert was also large and delicious. All the sweets were tasty, but the Darjeeling tea tasted diluted due to the ice, making it like tea-flavored water, which was disappointing. I only received a small amount of milk and syrup, and I wanted more, but I couldn't bring myself to ask for it. The desserts were of high quality, so I would like to come back again. The yellow mung dal curry was milder with green beans and coconut as the main ingredients. Both curries were delicious and the homemade sides like achaar and subji complemented the curries well. The Okayama white peach and sour cream mille-feuille featured delicious peaches from a local farm in Okayama. The peaches were fresh and sweet, and the mille-feuille was crispy with a perfect match of juicy peaches and creamy sour cream. Although the prices are on the higher side, the cozy atmosphere and great pancakes make it a good choice for pancake lovers.

Bibliotheque is a shop I discovered when I first went to Fukuoka, but it seems they also have shops in Jiyugaoka and Yurakucho. The company that runs it, CPCenter, is also partnered with VERVE COFFEE. This shop is a cafe and bookstore, with lots of books inside. I didn't touch any because I wasn't sure if it was okay to, but when I looked into it, it seems there are quite a few cafes where you can read books. I've never thought about exploring cafes from that perspective, so it might be interesting to try looking at them that way?

I had read that their hotcakes were popular, but they mentioned it would take about 20 minutes, which wouldn't fit my train schedule. So, I decided to try their Christmas Strawberry Shortcake set for 1255 yen (excluding tax) instead, which seemed fitting for the season. I paired it with a hot coffee. The shortcake was presented in a cylindrical shape with cream and strawberries inside, topped with more cream, strawberries, and white chocolate. It had a winter-appropriate visual appeal. The plate was decorated with strawberry confiture and almonds, adding to the luxurious feel with a combination of fresh and confiture strawberries. The cream used was light and melted in the mouth, reminiscent of fluffy snow. Although the shortcake didn't seem easy to take away, it offered a taste for adults to enjoy. Looking around, I noticed many people ordering hotcakes, which seemed quite voluminous, but everyone seemed to be enjoying them. The hotcakes also had seasonal options, so I'll have to make time for a proper visit next time to try them out.

A while ago, my friend wanted to eat autumn sweets, so we went to this cafe. We went in the early afternoon on a holiday and had to wait because it was full, but surprisingly we were seated quickly. When we looked at the menu, there were plenty of regular and limited-time menu options, so it was hard to decide what to order. My friend chose a set of 3 sweets including Mont Blanc, and since I love pumpkin sweets, I chose the pumpkin pancake.
