Fukuoka City Higashi-ku, Umade 2-2-3 area - 2 minutes walk from the subway "Umade Kyudai Hospital Mae Station"! Nearby are the prefectural office and Kyushu University Hospital. This place opened in April 2019! It is located in a corner where restaurants are lined up! The exterior and interior use a calm and modern atmosphere with wood tones! The restaurant has counter seats and table seats on the 1st and 2nd floors! Perhaps one reason why there are many female customers is because all the staff are women? The menu focuses on dishes that feature the concept of "tartar sauce." We ordered the "Horse Mackerel Fry Set"! When ordering from the hall staff, they ask about the "amount of rice" you want, but for first-time customers, it would be better to provide clear guidance on whether the "large serving" is free or at an additional cost! Later, I noticed the "Food Loss Reduction Guide" posted sideways on the table, which states "Large serving / 250g," "Regular / 180g," "Small / 110g," and "Large serving / Free," so why not use this for guidance? The "Horse Mackerel Fry Set" that was served includes 3 pieces of "Horse Mackerel Fry," salad, cold tofu, miso soup, dried radish, pickles, and rice! First, try the "Horse Mackerel Fry" with the special "tartar sauce" on top - the crispy texture of the fry is firm, and the mackerel is thick and reasonably well done! However, the "tartar sauce" is sweet! It's so sweet that when you add soy sauce, even the soy sauce tastes sweet! It's a divisive taste preference. If there was Worcestershire sauce, it would offset this sweetness and create a better balance, but there seems to be a strong insistence on serving with sweet "tartar" and "soy sauce." Eating it with rice, the smell of the rice cooker sticks to the rice and is not great! I recommend getting a new rice cooker! The miso soup is also sweet, and the overall meal seems to cater to a sweet tooth, which might appeal to women. It was an interesting meal. Thank you. Enjoy Gourmet Life☆
