I went to a sushi buffet that I had been interested in on Instagram! If you go around 12 pm on weekdays, it's packed, and I think the 2:30 group had to wait. I underestimated it because it was a weekday. There were also many foreigners, so maybe it doesn't matter if it's a weekday. I waited for about an hour before getting in! The turnover rate seemed good! The long showcase was filled with so much sushi that I had to make about 3 rounds to decide what to take pictures of. Each piece is 110 yen, and you can eat Otoro (fatty tuna) and salmon for 110 yen as well! I decided to definitely get Otoro and salmon, and in the end, I filled my plate with what I wanted to eat by instinct. There were many rare white fish! From the rare ones, I chose Spanish mackerel, blackthroat seaperch, and John Dory. I filled my plate, went back to my seat, and called a staff member to count the number of plates. After finishing the first plate, I still had room, so I went around again and found some new items that weren't there on the first round! There were so many varieties, it was amazing. You can also order grilled fish and other dishes on the tabletop tablet! The miso soup had fish bones in it and was served in a huge bowl. Everything was so delicious. My colleague had been wanting to go there for a while, so we decided to have lunch there. When we walked in, it was just before 12 o'clock but the place was already packed with a long line! There were a lot of foreigners (maybe Korean) as well, giving off a lively vibe. They also offered takeout, which seemed to be a popular choice as there was no line for it. The taste definitely lived up to its reputation and rumors! At 110 yen per piece, the cost performance was outstanding. Of course, the higher quality fish is recommended (laughs). Among all the sushi I had that day, the "striped horse mackerel" was the highlight, the number one! Paired it with a dry sake, Hakata no Mori. The freshness of the horse mackerel was outstanding and the portion was generous. The sushi buffet offers a wide variety of options, including high-end fish like golden eye snapper. The sea urchin was surprisingly delicious. Overall, the freshness of the seafood was excellent. Added a shochu drink, Yamaneko highball. Finished with a large bowl of seaweed miso soup. The affordable sushi buffet is made possible by being directly operated by a fish store in Nagahama.

Arrived around 13:00 and had to wait for about 7 groups ahead of us, but we were seated in about 30 minutes. First, we received an explanation from the staff on how to order the sushi buffet using a tablet, then headed to the sushi buffet. Even though it was around 13:30, there were plenty of sushi selections available, so we took our time choosing. Started with about 9 rolls, ordered fisherman's soup, and grilled dishes. After finishing everything, we still had some room in our stomachs, so we went back to the buffet for one more round. Each piece of sushi was delicious, and we left feeling satisfied and full. The sushi pieces were small, but it was perfect for trying many different types. There were some unique items I hadn't seen before, and the selection kept changing while I was there.
