Based on a recommendation from a friend, I decided to take a stroll and visit this restaurant. And the conclusion is... I will definitely be coming back! The food was delicious! You can really feel that they carefully select their ingredients. Not only the food and drink menu, but also the ambiance of the place was well done. I had a relaxing time there! For the dishes, I had the assorted appetizers, half-cooked egg with smoked mashed potato salad, homemade anchovy and pea shoot stir-fry, and garlic rice with garlic from Itoshima and soy sauce koji. Oh, so delicious...dangerous! I couldn't drink alcohol because I drove, but I feel like I could never have enough wine there (laughs). I'll definitely go back soon!

The atmosphere was nice. When two people go, do they sit at the counter? The counter seats were a bit cramped. Depending on the staff, their voices were a bit low. I had lasagna, pasta, and potato salad, and they were delicious. Definitely recommend.

I used Core for lunch ~ I ordered the risotto lunch and chose bagna cauda salad. I also ordered potato salad as a side dish! The dishes were stylish and looked great! Next time, I definitely want to go at night and enjoy some wine. Thank you very much!

The potato salad was more delicious and impressive than the main pasta or salad. The sauce around the potatoes combined perfectly with the soft-boiled egg yolk on top, creating a delightful combination when eaten together. Although I chose pasta as the main dish, it was just average.

I finally visited a shop that I had been curious about for a while. I heard that the potato salad was popular at the shop, and it was really delicious! No matter where I go, I always think that my mom's homemade potato salad is the best and my family praises it too. As a cooking enthusiast, I take pride in it, but I was defeated this time. The creaminess of the sauce at the bottom was exquisite, and the soft-boiled egg was a nice accent, it was really wonderful. The dish that was like steamed pumpkin pudding was also enjoyable, and all the dishes were delicious, but it was a bit disappointing that there was no dessert in the course. In the end, I ended up ordering an additional dessert. The service from the staff was pleasant. The vegetables were fresh, and I would like to visit the shop again for à la carte dining.

I had been curious about this stylish restaurant in my neighborhood every time I passed by. I felt hesitant to go in alone as an older man. I decided to visit at 3 pm when there were few customers. The customers were mostly women. I sat at the counter and ordered a mini lasagna set for 1,850 yen, sparkling wine for 800 yen, and a glass of wine for 600 yen, totaling 3,250 yen. The hamburger had chunky pieces of meat, giving it a satisfying texture. The lasagna was soft and easy to eat. I chose the Caesar salad with bagna cauda dressing. The bagna cauda sauce was sweet, but there was mashed pumpkin at the bottom, making it possible to eat just the sauce. I think it's a good place for a casual lunch.

I went to a natural bistro that I was interested in!! They use no additives at all and almost all of their ingredients are from Kyushu. I had the option of choosing a main dish and lasagna set for 1850 yen. I chose the seafood bouillabaisse and cheese risotto. It's been a while since I had lasagna. The seafood bouillabaisse was delicious with plump ingredients like oysters, shrimp, and squid. The set came with a salad and a drink, so it was quite a generous portion. The optional dessert was delicious too!! The rich cocoa terrine had a caramelized surface that was crispy and really tasty!! Thank you for the meal.

Lasagna with meat sauce is a dish made up of several layers of flat square pasta, and it was my first time trying it! It was delicious. The bistro is conveniently located near the station, has a nice atmosphere, and the staff's hospitality is top-notch. Both the food and drinks are delicious. The lasagna tacos are amazing!

This is my third visit here. The atmosphere and the food are both stylish. All the dishes here are delicious! The appetizer assortment includes several types of appetizers in small portions, so even if you can't eat a lot, you can enjoy a variety of dishes, which is very nice!

This area has a lot of nice shops, right? After eating and drinking a lot at the first place, I couldn't help but be curious and ended up going in here. The result was great! The food was delicious, and above all, the staff were professional! Every staff member was always attentive and their service was excellent! That alone made it a place I want to visit again. The dishes I had were a light pate with bread, smoked bonito, lasagna, and cocoa terrine for dessert. I also had a mojito for 850 yen and several glasses of wine ranging from 600 to 1100 yen, all of which were delicious. The pate was tasty and went well with the wine. The smoked bonito came with a unique chive sauce that surprisingly worked well. I really wanted to try the lasagna, but I was full so I was glad they had a half-size option for 1,180 yen, which I shared. The pasta was very soft and had a melting texture, and the meat sauce was sweet and delicious. I think it would also be good with bolognese sauce. The restaurant was almost full, but it had a nice atmosphere where you could enjoy drinking. The only downside was the restroom situation. It was located between the kitchen and the counter, which was awkward as it overlapped with the flow of people. You had to be careful when going there, as you could see in and out from the counter. There were still many delicious-looking items on the menu, so I would like to go again if I have the chance. It might require a reservation right after opening, but you could probably walk in freely later in the evening.

(12/25/2021) I bookmarked a restaurant called "Natural Bistro CORE" because it was said to have delicious lasagna. Last September, they opened a branch in Torikai, and this September, they opened a lasagna specialty store called "Lasagna CORE" in Nishishin. At these two locations, you can enjoy a variety of lasagna options. But first, I decided to visit the original store in Shirogane to confirm the taste.
This restaurant, as indicated by the name Bistro, seems to focus on evening operations, and they only open for lunch on weekends. The small restaurant has about 20 seats, so there is a high possibility of it being full. I arrived a little after the opening time of 11:30.
For lunch, they offer the following options:
- Ozaki Wagyu meat sauce lasagna set
- Ozaki Wagyu hamburger (80g) & mini lasagna set
- Pasta set
- Rare smoked Kyushu bonito set
- Kagoshima Ozaki Ranch black wagyu steak set
I decided to try the "Ozaki Wagyu meat sauce lasagna set" as the lasagna is in a mini size. Along with all dishes, you can choose between a mini bagna cauda salad or herb green salad. I chose the herb green salad, and the refreshing dressing, likely homemade, complemented the vegetables' deliciousness. When I inquired, they mentioned that they use organic vegetables sourced from a contracted farmer in Kyuyama.
The meat sauce made with black wagyu from Ozaki Ranch, which the owner receives from a friend and also operates a yakiniku restaurant called BAKURO in the city, stands out for its meaty sweetness. The layers of lasagna, made with fresh pasta, had a chewy texture. The dish also came with chili oil made from island red peppers, allowing for a change in flavor.
The petite female staff, who looked great in short hair, provided excellent service. The menu features enticing dishes like a potato salad topped with "Ufumayo." I was intrigued by the variety of dishes and would like to visit the restaurant for dinner as well.

It seems like a popular and cozy restaurant. I used a table seat on the day, but there is also a counter seat, so I think it can be used even by one person. The lasagna, which is the signature menu, was delicious. I recommend it for a girls' night out.

Bistro CORE near Yakuin Station. It was one of the shops I had been curious about for a while. I regret forgetting to take pictures of some dishes...lol. The location is near Yakuin Station, making it easy to access by train or bus. The exterior of the restaurant has a stylish Western chic feel. With its glass walls, you can see the atmosphere inside, making it inviting. The glass walls don't make it too transparent, so you don't have to worry about passersby staring at you. The restaurant prides itself on its international fusion cuisine, offering a wide range of Western dishes. They also focus on using no additives, making it gentle on the body. A must-try dish that will likely pop up in the restaurant's food images is the potato salad, which is not only delicious but also visually appealing! The handmade dumplings, as you can see in the photos, are surprisingly large, much bigger than expected! lol They really exceeded expectations in a good way. The red snapper meunière and the meat dishes are delicious without needing much explanation. Although not pictured, the lasagna was also exquisite. It's another dish worth ordering. The pasta with shrimp tomato cream sauce is rich and flavorful, making it a delicious sauce that would go well with anything! Seasonings and lasagna kits can be ordered online, so if you're curious, be sure to check it out. They also have a new store called RECO, which is intriguing.

I visited the restaurant with a female friend. She loves Western cuisine and made a reservation for us. The restaurant is located in the Yakuin area of Fukuoka, which is known for its great dining options. The place was clean and the staff was very polite. The food was delicious and each dish was carefully prepared. They had a wide selection of wines, and we chose one from the blackboard. I particularly enjoyed the lasagna, which had a chewy texture and a perfect blend of tomato sauce. The restaurant is suitable for both drinkers and non-drinkers. It is a great place for a date or a girls' night out. I recommend this restaurant for casual dining as well. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The restaurant specializes in creative bistro dishes using primarily Kyushu ingredients, with no additives and a diverse international influence. They are open only on weekends from 11:30 am to closing, offering great value lunch sets. I arrived around 2:30 pm without a reservation and was seated immediately as half of the tables were empty. The atmosphere was lively with people enjoying their meals. I appreciate having the option to have lunch after 2 pm. The lunch menu offers four options, and I chose the "Red Beef Meat Lasagna (1380 yen)" which came with a choice of salad and drink. The salad was a fresh herb green salad from Itoshima. The dressing was not overpowering, allowing the natural flavors of the vegetables to shine. The lasagna was impressive with 20 layers and a generous amount of minced beef in a rich demi-glace sauce. The sauce itself was so delicious, it could make you want to have wine with it. Although lasagna is not something I usually order, this dish was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. The grapefruit juice had a refreshing acidity. They also serve draft beer at the counter and have a good selection of wines. Overall, it is a well-rounded bistro that offers a great dining experience.

Natural Bistro CORE Shirokanedai Store
A creative bistro focusing on Kyushu ingredients with no additives or chemical seasonings. Open for lunch and casual drinking on Saturdays from noon. There is a second store in Haruyoshi. I arrived in Fukuoka for some errands, finished my tasks, and met up with a friend for dinner. The trendy friend suggested a place where lunch still seemed possible, and we ended up here. I planned to use the place after dinner, and although it is a bistro, I confirmed at the entrance if it was okay to use it as a cafe, and they kindly agreed. At the storefront, there is a terrace table for one, a few tables, and a small counter. The bistro has mirrored walls, and the seating is tight. The staff is wearing masks. Cafe Use ☆ Rare Cheesecake and Iced Coffee 1100 yen You can choose from the dessert and drink menu for 500 yen each. The dessert options for the day were cheesecake and gateau chocolat. Although the soft drink menu indicates hot drinks, I asked and found out that iced coffee was also available. The rare cheesecake is a type made only with cream cheese. It is milky, rich, and smooth with a mild milk aroma. It is not too sweet with a caramel-like color, which I thought was due to good sugar, but it seems to be beet sugar. It is finished with an arrangement of sweet and salty flavors using Miyako Island snow salt, which is typical of restaurant desserts. The iced coffee was listed as hot, but when I asked if it could be iced, they said it was possible. The price would be 600 yen. It is a bitter type of coffee with a rich taste brewed in the store. Although it is meant to be enjoyed with meals or wine, I could imagine it being a delicious restaurant. The lunch menu seemed affordable and delicious. I am curious about the Haruyoshi store, but it seems to be open only on Sundays. Natural Bistro CORE Shirokanedai Store 5 minutes walk from Yakuin Station Open 17:00-00:00 (Sun-Thu), 17:00-01:00 (Fri), 11:30-01:00 (Sat) Lunch available on weekends Dine-in, takeout, delivery available Currently open for regular business, but subject to change based on the situation. Today, I had a 2-hour break at work, so I decided to explore the area around Yakuin. I came across a bustling restaurant even though it was already past 2 pm. The staff kindly invited me to sit at the counter, so I decided to have lunch there. I chose the Red Bull meat lasagna with a side of seasonal vegetable bagna cauda salad and a hot coffee for dessert. The colorful bagna cauda with fresh vegetables and pumpkin paste was delicious. The lasagna was served in a surprising layered presentation, and although it was tasty, I felt like the portion was a bit small. I wanted to order more, but I couldn't figure out the menu options using the QR code provided. I regretted not sitting inside the restaurant as the terrace was already hot. Next time, I'll explore more menu items inside the restaurant.

I was also interested in the Haruyoshi store, but I decided to make a reservation here first! The restaurant has counter and table seats, and it was fully booked with only a few seats available at the counter. I was curious about the appetizer platter, but I decided to order what I wanted instead. I ordered the following dishes: Half-boiled egg and smoked mashed potato salad, Octopus, celery, and cilantro, White asparagus with anchovy sauté, Rare fried mackerel, Red beef meat lasagna, Chocolate & roasted green tea, and Rare cheesecake. The potato salad was my favorite and it matched the image I had of the restaurant. The bottom had potatoes, topped with a half-boiled egg and sauce. I enjoyed dipping the baguette in the leftover sauce. The baguette was delicious. I wish I had more of the White asparagus anchovy sauté oil to dip the baguette in. The octopus, celery, and cilantro dish was not too strong in flavor, making it easy for those who are not fond of strong flavors. I personally enjoyed stronger flavors. The rare fried mackerel had a crispy exterior and a rare center, which was delicious. The sauce with fuki no tou added a nice bitterness. The lasagna was available in half and regular sizes, and we opted for the half size which was shared among us. It had a meaty taste with a slight sweetness. The chocolate dessert had a gooey center which made me feel happy. The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!

CORE-san was amazing! Even though it was raining that day, the restaurant was bustling with customers. There were groups of women, groups of men, and solo diners too. It's a popular spot that appeals to everyone. I finally got to try the potato salad and lasagna, and I was so excited! The dishes looked beautiful and tasted delicious. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu in the future.笑

This time, I visited the natural bistro CORE located on the 1st floor of Astor Yakuin, 1-3-5 Shirogane, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. The facade is quite stylish, with a terrace outside that must be pleasant when the weather is nice. The interior has a chic and casual atmosphere with exposed concrete walls, blackboards, and matching chair colors. The restaurant was almost full, indicating its popularity. I started with a draft beer, Heartland. The half-boiled egg and smoked mashed potato salad for 690 yen was rich and flavorful, a recommended dish. The Amaou strawberry Caprese for 1540 yen was delicious, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. The shrimp and mushroom ajillo for 990 yen, white fish meuniere for 1280 yen, and black gold pork sausage for 1180 yen were all juicy and tasty, perfect with beer. The red beef meat lasagna for 1540 yen had just the right amount of meat sauce. I had previously visited the restaurant in Haruyoshi, so I was glad to have the opportunity to visit this one. They also offer lunch, so I plan to visit for lunch next time. Thank you for the meal.

I found this place while walking, feeling full but wanting a drink. It was lively and fun, so I decided to go in. The staff greeted me right away and the drink and food menus were extensive. I ordered the recommended craft beer of the day and even though I was full, I ordered a small dish. Both the drink and the dish were amazing. I was already full so I won't need more, but I will definitely use this place for my next stop!
