Croquette curry udon with chicken tempura for 650 yen. The noodles are thick with a firm texture, meant for standing and eating. The curry is moderately spicy with a decent aroma. It seems that curry powder is sprinkled on top of the curry roux. Other toppings include minced meat and green onions. The croquette is satisfyingly large and thick. The tempura chicken is average. I arrived on a Saturday at 7:10 PM and there were two other customers. I wanted to grab a quick bite during my transit. Some gourmet sites mentioned that it's inside the ticket gate, but it's actually outside. The addition of minced meat and generous toppings give it a Kansai-style touch. The taste is decent overall.

Today, I had a drinking party starting quite early in the evening, so I skipped lunch. However, I realized that it's not good to drink on an empty stomach, so I happened to pass by this restaurant and decided to go in. I ordered the curry udon for 520 yen, hoping for its hangover prevention effect. The curry had a good amount of spice, and the noodles had a nice chewiness to them, making it delicious. Now, let's see how effective it will be in preventing a hangover.

Today, I had breakfast with a set of tanuki soba (buckwheat noodles) and salmon rice to prepare for the heat at work without air conditioning. The soba was from a reliable standing soba shop at the station, as expected. The portion of fried tofu was quite generous. Personally, I wish they had chopped fried tofu of this size to eat with soba. As for the rice, they used to only offer a set with raw egg over rice, so having salmon rice was a nice change. But I think next time I'll go back to the raw egg over rice. *This is purely based on personal preference.

On the day of the typhoon, it seems that major commercial facilities will be closed, so I decided to have an early typhoon croquette. As expected, it became difficult to procure croquettes. There is no Fuji Soba in Osaka, so I had a pseudo-Patlabor croquette soba with Inari croquette soba topping, along with raw egg and seaweed Inari (2 pieces).

You can eat relatively cheaply at the udon restaurant in JR Osaka Station. There is space under the table to put your bag, which is very convenient. I had cold udon, but the noodles were a bit hard and the fried tofu was firm, so it's safer to eat something warm rather than cold.

JR Osaka Station, right by the Midosuji Exit ticket gate, is perfect for when you want a quick and easy udon or soba. You can order and pay at the touch panel yourself. I got the kitsune udon and sushi roll set with negitoro. Once you place your order, the food is quickly prepared and handed to you from the counter. You can grab chopsticks, shichimi, etc., and head to the counter. The warm broth with soft udon and the big piece of fried tofu were delightful. The negitoro sushi was a good size and satisfying. It's great to have a convenient option for a quick meal when you're short on time.

Usagi Tsukino and her daughter, Laura Apollodorus Hyginus Lamelle (Cure Lamelle) celebrated their half-birthday. It had been 2 and a half years since their last celebration. They enjoyed a meal that helped them regain a sense of the day of the week, as it was not curry for lunch and dinner. They had chicken tempura curry soba with a topping of fox sushi. It was deliciously spicy and satisfying. They felt like they were expanding and growing with the Puni Bird tribe.

It was past 12 o'clock when I entered the restaurant, which was the third in line at the ticket machine. I wanted something light to eat, so I chose the zaru soba set. It came with two slightly sweet inari sushi, which was a delicious combination. Although there were not many seats, I was able to use one. I will visit again.

Udon restaurant located right next to JR Osaka Station on the Midosuji side. It is often empty in the morning, so I often have breakfast here. The Chicken Tempura Set Udon (600 yen) comes with a Yukari rice ball. The udon and broth are pretty standard, but it's more about the generous portion. The chicken tempura is surprisingly addictive. The marinated chicken and the softened tempura soaking in the broth create a delicious combination. It's a good choice when you want a hearty meal in the morning. Bon appétit!

I had a 50 yen discount on the Chicken Tempura Curry Udon for 580 yen at a udon restaurant inside the Osaka station early in the morning. The curry seemed to have changed its flavor starting today, and it was enhanced by sprinkling spice powder. The udon was soft and there were 2 pieces of chicken tempura included.

For today's lunch, I had chopped soba noodles and rice balls. I used a free service ticket I received the other day to get the rice balls. They always make unique, angular rice balls (laughs). The fried tofu in the chopped soba noodles was a bit leftover tofu. Personally, I prefer the cheaper, lighter fried tofu that soaks up the broth better. However, I still like fried tofu more than tempura crumbs.

I have been occasionally using a noodle shop at Osaka Station, which mainly specializes in chikuwa isobeage soba. However, I decided to try the croquette soba this time and it was good. Unlike the croquettes at the nearby Ushioya, the croquettes here have a softer coating that quickly melts into the broth. The broth here goes well with isobeage and chicken tempura, but I didn't find it to be a perfect match with the croquettes. It seems like it's better to go to Ushioya for croquette soba and come here for chikuwa isobeage.

I didn't know that on the 11th of every month you can get a free onigiri ticket! I was at Osaka Station to go to Shiga, but the New Rapid Service was delayed. I didn't want to be late for work, so I decided to have some standing soba here since I could quickly catch the next train. When I looked at the menu, I saw they had Croquette Soba (with onigiri), so I ordered that. Croquette Soba tends to fall apart, similar to the Fried Potato Soba at a certain Wakana Soba shop, so I thought it was quite similar as I enjoyed it. And the 11th is a lucky day to get a free onigiri ticket. I have to make sure not to waste this free ticket.

I arrived at Umeda and exited from the JR Midosuji exit. I had about 30 minutes until my next appointment in Umeda, so I decided to quickly grab a meal. From entering the restaurant to finishing my meal and leaving, it only took about 10-15 minutes! I was surprised by how fast the food was served! After purchasing my meal ticket from the machine, I handed it to the staff and my udon noodles arrived in about a minute. The speed of service was impressive. The taste of the udon was good, comparable to instant noodles. In the future, when I am short on time and need a quick meal, I will definitely use this restaurant again. If you are in a hurry and need to grab a quick lunch, I recommend Mido Osaka Noodle House to everyone! ^ ^

Having breakfast at Osaka Station. It's great that there are shops open from 7 am, so you can grab something quickly before catching your train. I had the Chiku-Ten Ontama Oroshi Udon. It had plenty of green onions, which was nice. The broth was a bit light for my taste, I prefer it a bit stronger, but it was just right for a quick meal.

This is a soba restaurant located near Midosuji mouth. It is very convenient when you want to eat quickly before catching the train from the Midosuji Line to the New Rapid Service. There are two ticket machines where you can purchase your meal ticket, and I bought the tempura and egg udon. I handed the ticket to the kitchen, and the meal was ready in less than a minute. I took it to the standing eating booth and tried it, and it was surprisingly good. The broth had a unique taste typical of station udon. I sprinkled a lot of shichimi pepper for an extra kick, and enjoyed it with the broth. The place was quite crowded even though it was close to 2 o'clock, with many people in a rush like me. It's a recommended spot when you're short on time. Thank you for the meal!

I have asked a few times before, but was the name like this...? I believe it was "麺家" instead of "麵家" but well, it doesn't really matter. You can get cheap and delicious "udon" or "soba" here! It seems that the prices vary between different branches of 麺家. It's a bit more expensive than in Shin-Osaka. Still, the "kakesoba for 310 yen including tax" is cheap! Yesterday, I had station soba in Tokyo, and the soup stock was totally different. I like both! I think this 麺家 is also a JR-affiliated one, but it seems they don't offer tenkasu as a service... I couldn't find shichimi or ichimi either... a bit lonely.

I visited this restaurant for dinner, "Menya Osaka Midou," located near the transfer point between the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and JR Osaka. It is a popular standing udon shop at Osaka Station, operated by JR West Japan Food Service Net. The exterior of the shop is bright and easy to spot, with food samples displayed. The ticket machine is a modern touch-panel type. I ordered the "Croquette Set Udon for 490 yen," a set of croquette udon and onigiri unique to standing udon shops. The croquette udon, with its B-class charm, is delicious as the croquette absorbs the tasty broth of Kansai udon. It was a truly delicious dinner that was fast, cheap, and tasty. Thank you for the meal!

Eating standing soba while waiting for the train is convenient. Today, I had lunch here after a long time. I ordered a mini curry bowl and soba noodles. I couldn't find them as a set on the touch panel of the ticket machine, so I ordered them separately. The curry in the curry bowl seemed a bit watery and the flavor was a little lacking, so I added some soy sauce. The soba noodles had the usual taste, which was good. Overall, the quality of the standing meal at the station was satisfactory and quick. I will visit again when I am short on time.

- Point:
- There are not many restaurants open on weekends from 7 am, so this udon restaurant at Osaka Station is very convenient!
- The main style is standing eating, but there are also some seats available. You can quickly enjoy your meal in the busy morning!
- As the title suggests, the lively atmosphere with the voices of the older ladies is very pleasant.
- Content:
- Mini Chicken Tempura Rice Bowl Meat Set Udon, 760 yen
- A hearty set with a mini chicken tempura rice bowl for breakfast.
- The udon noodles are cut short and slightly soft in texture. The broth is delicious!
- The meat has a good flavor, but the taste of the meat itself is average.
- The mini chicken tempura rice bowl has large pieces of meat with a sweet sauce. It is delicious, but it would be even better if the batter was crispy. Thank you for the meal!
