There are many cafes with an open atmosphere, but Corduroy Cafe stands out with its huge floor-to-ceiling windows. While most cafes have windows up to the waist, this cafe has an entire wall of large windows, creating a very open and airy feel for enjoying meals and sweets. It feels like being in Brooklyn, USA, and the cafe is decorated with various decorations, making it a favorite spot for those looking for a stylish cafe. I visited for a daytime drink and made a reservation through Hot Pepper for a weekday-only pasta course for 2200 yen and a drink-all-you-can for 1100 yen. The portions were surprisingly generous, and I was pleasantly surprised. The first dish was Pumpkin and Camembert Fritters, where the pumpkin and Camembert were fried together, creating a mix of sweetness and creaminess. The second dish was Seasonal Corn Soup, which I really enjoyed. The third dish was Avocado and Prosciutto Salad, a hearty and vegetable-packed dish. The fourth dish was Simon's Stone Oven Soft French Bread, soft and flavorful. The fifth dish was a choice of pasta, and I chose Spicy Cod Roe and Watercress Peperoncino and Shrimp and Fresh Tomato Pasta. The Spicy Cod Roe and Watercress Peperoncino had a perfect balance of spice, crunchiness, and flavors, while the Shrimp and Fresh Tomato Pasta was fresh and delicious. The sixth dish was a Cheese Tart for dessert, which was crispy and tasty. The meal was quite filling, and the variety of drinks for 1100 yen made me wonder if it was really worth it.

The cafe is located about a 5-minute walk from Tenjin Station. It is on the 4th floor of a building, and the interior is glass-walled, allowing you to overlook Tenjin lightly. I went there in the evening for a cafe visit. The desserts available include tarts, cheesecakes, and pancakes, making it difficult to choose. This time, I had a berry tart with pistachio ice cream and a Basque cheesecake. I ordered a hot cafe latte for both. The latte art is cute. The tart was on the sweeter side due to the pistachio ice cream, but the berries helped balance it out. The cheesecake was rich and delicious. They are open until 3 am, making it a good spot for a late-night cafe visit as well. Thank you for the meal.

I went to a cafe that was open until late at night and had a cozy atmosphere with dim lighting and candles on the tables. I ordered a fondant chocolate cake and a cafe latte. The fondant chocolate cake was delicious with the melted chocolate and cold ice cream complementing each other perfectly. There were so many other sweets I wanted to try, making it hard to choose. They also had a great selection of savory dishes, so I definitely want to go back again.

This is Corduroy Cafe in Daimyo. After work, I felt like eating peaches, so I went to a night cafe. I had the Whole Peach Granita Parfait for 1950 yen, which is limited in quantity. Since I visited at night, the interior was dim and I couldn't take good photos or videos. On top of the parfait were bouncy peaches, crispy pie crust at the bottom, and something like cold shaved ice in the glass. There were also peaches and other sweets in the parfait, which was a refreshing treat for this season. I really liked it, and I'll definitely come back after work again. Thank you for the meal!

(2023.07.05) Despite the pouring rain, I headed to Tenjin as I had a planned appointment. It was tough to walk while avoiding the puddles on the road, but the humidity level seemed to be over 100%, making it quite uncomfortable. I reached a building on the corner of Tenjin Nishi-dori and Muji where "Corduroy Cafe" is located on the 4th floor down a side street. Although it was disappointing that it was raining today, the cafe has a bright and open atmosphere with a kitchen-facing counter, a window-facing counter, and several tables where you can enjoy the view of the city. While they offer tempting dishes like steak, hamburgers, grilled curry, and chicken nanban, I decided to try something different this time - the "Salmon and Torched Avocado Bowl with Spicy Sesame Green Onion Salt Sauce". I was surprised to see hijiki and dried daikon radish as garnishes at this stylish cafe, but the bowl was healthy with avocado, known for its beauty and health benefits, and the option to choose multigrain rice. The creamy texture and rich flavor of the avocado paired well with the dressing's spicy kick, and the salmon was delicious too.

First visit. I usually come to this building for work, but today I visited as a customer. I ordered the daily lunch special for 1,190 yen. Chicken steak with mayo mustard. It's quite pricey. The counter seats by the window are all glass. While looking down at the line for Gyukatsu Moto Murasan, the background music in the restaurant is loud. The customers' chatting voices are also loud. Only girls who seem excited about shopping. It seems like that kind of place, for sure. Feels a bit cramped for an old man like me. Looking out at the street, I see various things. I spot the Sagawa delivery guys taking a break in the valley between buildings. Wasn't this area non-smoking? It's private property, so maybe it's okay. Looking further, I see the tall new building Garden City right in front of me. The city view is pretty good for the 4th floor. After waiting for 20 minutes, a staff member comes over and apologizes, saying my order didn't go through. Is it okay to reorder? Well, it's not okay, but where did my daily special go? With the loud background music, the service, and my hunger, I can't help but feel annoyed. I'm not getting angry though. If you make me angry, you'll regret it. I reorder and the food is served in about 5 minutes. The taste is average. I asked for sugar and milk for my iced coffee and got them. Is that how it works here? Maybe the pancakes are the recommended dish after all. Thank you for the meal.

I used it for lunch. The speed at which the food came out was incredibly fast. I had an avocado salmon bowl and a teriyaki chicken bowl. The flavors were gentle and felt good for the body. Personally, I wanted to eat pizza, but they didn't have it during lunchtime, so I was disappointed. I also couldn't choose pasta, as they only had a daily special, which was a bit disappointing. It was healthy and good for you, but the limited selection of dishes is why I gave it three stars.

I visited after a long time. The customers that day were mostly women, and there were many solo diners. I wasn't very hungry before the meal, but I wanted something light to eat. In the end, I had ricotta pancakes with vanilla ice cream and sparkling wine. I said I wanted something light because I had plans afterwards, but ended up ordering more. The pancakes didn't taste as good as they did before. They used to be delicious. Looking forward to next time! Thank you for the meal.

I occasionally go there. The lunch menu changes daily and there are several other options (I don't remember the details). Today, I had a creamy pasta with pumpkin that was very satisfying with plenty of ingredients. The price is average for the area near Tenjin. The staff seemed more friendly this time compared to last time.

Corduroy Cafe's lunch is a place I've been to several times, but this is my first post (surprising myself). As someone from Yamaguchi Prefecture, I appreciate that they serve shiso seaweed as a rice accompaniment. LOL I came here after about 2 years, and it seems like prices have gone up everywhere. Oh well... ★Here are the orders: - Chicken Karaage Lunch 1,090 yen - Glengrant Steak 1,990 yen - Glass of Wine 290 yen First, the meal ratings: - Chicken Karaage Lunch 1,090 yen ➡ 3.6 - Glengrant Steak 1,990 yen ➡ 2.8 The karaage has a crispy coating and juicy inside, very satisfying to eat. The three side dishes with fish, seaweed, and vegetables are well-balanced and truly appreciated. Choosing multigrain rice makes you feel like you're eating a healthy meal even though the main dish is fried. The side dishes are really good here. As for the Glengrant Steak... it was disappointing. The meat was tough... is this just supermarket meat? Despite being served on a hot plate, it wasn't very hot and cooled quickly, becoming too tough to chew. It's hard to believe this costs 1,990 yen... if it was cheaper than the karaage, it would make more sense. Let's hope for some improvements! Also, there seemed to be a lot of waiting this day, perhaps because of a new staff member... waited 10 minutes for water... waited over 10 minutes for the set drink... (I thought to myself, they're just pouring it, right? LOL) It was a bit disappointing to come back after so long.

Lunch, cheesecake, cream soda. I would be happy if the lunch price is in the three digits, with plenty of vegetables for a balanced meal and a drink included. I like that there are many counter seats, making it comfortable for solo diners. I also like that the location seems like a hidden gem, where I don't have to worry about people passing by. The staff are attentive and provide quick service.

I was surprised that the steak lunch looked nothing like the photo. The meat was tough. Instead of potatoes, it came with bean sprouts. The daily special was pork with mustard and cheese, but the meat was also very tough. The good points were being able to sit by the window, the generous portion of rice, and the delicious coffee.

A stylish cafe with a well-established reputation for nearly 20 years, now with several locations in Fukuoka city. I visited the main branch with a friend from work to give them a souvenir from Hokkaido. The cafe is located on the 4th floor, and upon exiting the elevator, you enter the stylish interior with a large glass wall. We were seated at a table by the glass wall, offering a stunning view of the city below. The lunch menu mainly consists of set meals, so I ordered the fried chicken set, while my friend opted for the Corduroy Half-Boiled Egg Curry, which is a signature dish. You can choose between white rice or mixed grain rice, and my friend chose the mixed grain rice. The dishes were served together. The fried chicken was homely and came in a generous portion of 3 pieces. The set meal included rice, miso soup, salad, and side dishes of simmered hijiki seaweed and dried radish, with unlimited furikake toppings. It was a well-balanced and satisfying meal, including a drink, all for 980 yen each (excluding tax), making it budget-friendly. You can also choose when to have your drink served. My friend's curry looked the same as when we last visited, bringing back nostalgic memories. The coffee after the meal was delicious, as expected from a cafe. We arrived around 2:30 PM, and the cafe was about 60-70% full, with most people enjoying lunch. The lunch service is available until 5 PM, so you can relax even if you arrive a bit late.

I would like to visit when I want to eat dessert at night ❤️ There are many types of desserts, so it is recommended for those with a sweet tooth ❤️ There are also many types of alcohol, and the menu includes a variety of snacks and dishes. The interior of the restaurant has dim lighting, so you can relax and unwind ✨ It is located in Daimyo, so it is convenient to visit ❤️

I visited Corduroy Cafe located on the 4th floor of a building a little off the West Street in Tenjin, Fukuoka around 4 pm on a holiday. It was featured in a travel guidebook called "Cocomiru Fukuoka" which caught my interest. The cafe is hidden away on the 4th floor of a building, giving it a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The interior is clean and bright, with upbeat pop music playing in the background, creating a trendy vibe. There were many stylish young men and women at the cafe, and although smoking is allowed, there were no smokers nearby during my visit. I sat at the counter seat and ordered the Mascarpone Cheese Creme Brulee for 580 yen with a coffee for 380 yen. The seasonal parfait and tiramisu also looked delicious, but I went with the creme brulee. It was served with a variety of beautiful fruits like strawberries, kiwi, oranges, blueberries, and apples, which added a nice touch. The creme brulee had a crispy top and a soft, sweet center that paired well with the coffee. The coffee was surprisingly delicious, with a sweet and rich flavor. I had a satisfying and relaxing afternoon on the holiday. The cafe also offers a variety of lunch and meal options that looked appetizing. I highly recommend Corduroy Cafe for a relaxing and enjoyable cafe experience.

While shopping at Tenjin, I ended up missing lunch, so I decided to have an early dinner as well and enjoyed a mojito and half-boiled egg curry. The curry was cute with the restaurant's logo on it, so I couldn't resist taking a photo. I felt a bit guilty about having alcohol in the daylight, but it was delicious.

Located in a building across from the popular "Gyukatsu" restaurant, this cafe restaurant is tucked away in a small alley off the main street near Tenjin Nishi-dori. I decided to try it out after seeing the lunch menu displayed outside as I passed by. Lunch is served until 5:00 PM. The restaurant is on the 4th floor of the building, and as soon as you get off the elevator, you enter the spacious dining area. Despite its somewhat hidden location, the restaurant was almost full when I visited around 12:30 PM. I was seated at the counter, where I had a good view of the kitchen. The lunch menu offered a variety of options, but I chose the "Daily Special Lunch (Gyukatsu: 950 yen including tax)." The set included gyukatsu, two side dishes, salad, miso soup, and a choice of white or mixed grain rice. I opted for mixed grain rice. The meal also came with a drink, furikake, and tonkatsu sauce. The gyukatsu was a bit on the tough side and I ended up leaving half of it uneaten. The side dishes included tofu and sautéed spinach with bacon, both of which were average. The salad was generous and topped with sesame dressing. The miso soup, mixed grain rice, furikake, and tonkatsu sauce were all standard. I ordered an iced coffee, which was served in a regular size rather than a mini size, which I appreciated. Overall, while the gyukatsu was disappointing, the variety of dishes offered might make it worth returning in the hopes of finding a main dish that suits your taste.

Arrived at around 11:30 on a regular day and there were about 10 customers already there. I ordered the fried chicken set meal (980 yen). You can choose between white rice and mixed grain rice. When you order a set meal, you can have all-you-can-eat side dishes. The side dishes include simmered hijiki seaweed, simmered dried daikon radish, sweet and sour chicken skin, pickles, raw egg, pickled shallots, and more. The hijiki seaweed and dried daikon radish are on the sweeter side. They taste like they are not homemade, which is a bit disappointing. After about 5 minutes, the fried chicken set meal arrived on a wooden tray. The salad is dressed with what seems to be a Japanese-style dressing. The miso soup has tofu and seaweed in it, with a gentle flavor. The main dish, the fried chicken, is crispy and juicy! The sauce in the cup is a mix of chili sauce and something else (probably mayonnaise). It has a bit of a spicy kick and goes well with the fried chicken. The sauce being served separately allows you to eat the fried chicken on its own or dip it in the sauce, which is great. The rice is fluffy and well-cooked. The shiso and seaweed furikake on the side is seasoned with seaweed and sesame, making it a great accompaniment to the rice! I saw a customer enjoying bread and side dishes as a snack after eating pasta and drinking beer, which I thought was a good idea. The other lunch menu items and pancakes also look delicious, so I would like to come back again if I have the chance.

"CORDUROY cafe" is located on the 4th floor of a building in Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. I ordered the half-cooked egg curry for 850 yen. I chose the 16-grain rice and got a free large portion. I also added colorful vegetables for an extra 100 yen. The cute Nico-chan mark drawn with condensed milk is adorable. The spiciness is mild with a nice acidity. The meal comes with a side dish, salad, and a drink. The restaurant has a good view and gets plenty of sunlight, so I would like to visit again as a cafe.

A few years ago, this cafe started expanding its stores and their curry was delicious. I visited for lunch after about 7 years. The daily lunch special was sweet and sour pork, but I opted for the safe choice of fried chicken lunch. Today's special sauce was black vinegar. The fried chicken arrived in about 5 minutes, served in a large plate with varying sizes of pieces. The sauce was poured generously in a stainless steel container. The salad was overdressed and the fried chicken lacked depth in flavor. The color of the fried chicken was light and it seemed overcooked. I chose the mixed grain rice, but the proportion of grains was disappointing. All this for 950 yen... Also, in this day and age, I think lunch should be non-smoking or at least have a smoking area. It seems like they may have cut costs on ingredients and preparation. It was a bit of a disappointing lunch.
