I enjoyed drinking at the "Shichitsuya Osaka Station Front 2nd Building Store" (located at Umeda 1-2-2-B, Kita-ku, Osaka, Osaka Station Front 2nd Building B2F, 06-6344-7728, open from 10:30 to 22:00, open daily). Before heading to Abeno Harukas for the Muira Kazuo Great Art Exhibition, I thought I'd pay a visit as a Showa-era guy who was influenced by manga artists such as Muira Kazuo, Go Nagai, Ryoichi Ikegami, and Leiji Matsumoto. On my way to Tennoji, I stopped by a bar to replenish my alcohol supply and wandered around the entertainment park in front of the station. It was still early, and many shops were not open yet. Ah, there's Shichitsuya, finally found it. Big bottle of beer for 380 yen, so cheap! And all prices include tax. At the counter, I ordered a big bottle of beer for 380 yen, pork cutlet for 220 yen, chicken liver stew for 220 yen, beef tataki for 320 yen, and a highball for 320 yen. What is "Yama no Sakana Tori"? It's hime-takenoko skin with a savory taste, priced at 180 yen, and daikon miso for 140 yen. The hime-takenoko is crispy and lightly flavored, and the daikon miso is delicious. The mix grill for 320 yen (beef, chicken, pork) is just average. Black Kirishima (potato) soda mix for 300 yen... a good shochu highball with no sweetness. I love mountain food like kinuta for 160 yen and simmered sweet potatoes for 180 yen. But where's the octopus? I guess they don't serve it here. However, the older sister here is so friendly and attentive. She said "please wait a moment" and came back in a few seconds. Cheap, delicious, and excellent service. I got a little tipsy and was so impressed with the service that I thanked them and asked for a photo. It cost me 2740 yen. It was delicious and satisfying. Excuse me, I burped.
