Another customer who came later entered through a different door, which made me realize my mistake. I was debating between pasta and lamb hamburger from the lunch menu, and since the pasta of the day seemed spicy, I chose the lamb hamburger for 1200 yen. I also added a dessert trio for an additional 350 yen. There were other course menu options available as well. While waiting for the food, I looked around the antique furniture-filled interior, which created a lovely atmosphere. The lunch menu came with salad, soup, and a drink, which was nice. The salad was elegantly presented, followed by a delicious soup and then the main dish. Even though it was a regular lunch menu, the way they served each dish made it feel like a course meal, which I appreciated. The lamb hamburger required some courage to try, but it was healthy and didn't leave a guilty feeling afterwards. It seemed like they put effort into researching the cheese and spices used in the dish. The dessert trio included berry sorbet, coffee cheesecake, and mousse, which were all tasty. I had hot tea with it, served in a glass, which was a nice touch. There was a family with young children at the restaurant, and I thought if I had discovered this place when my kids were younger, I might have taken them here. Now that they are older, it's a place I want to visit alone. The ambiance was really nice. I imagine it would have a completely different vibe at night, but I bet it's still a great place to dine in the evening.

The bread was served warm and I chose iced coffee as my drink. The salon had a lovely ambiance, just as its name suggests.

It's located just a few minutes by car from Yakuin Station, in a quiet residential area that feels like a hidden gem. The entrance is at the back where there's a gate that leads to what looks like a backyard. I really like the interior design, with details like a chandelier shaped like a deer's antlers and a balance scale with walnuts and business cards hanging on it. I sat on the largest sofa seat as it was quite spacious. The lunch menu offers course meals starting from 1800 yen, with options like cutlets, lamb hamburger (which I ordered), croquette set, and roast beef bowl. The salad and soup were served first, followed by the main dish. The salad was ordinary, but the cold potage soup was delicious. The lamb hamburger had a strong flavor, and the roast beef was really tasty. The dessert set for 350 yen included three types of desserts, with the panna cotta being the standout. There was a family with well-behaved children, and the back area had a space for clothes and miscellaneous items. The place had a renovated European farmhouse vibe, and I was surprised to find such a place near Fukuoka's city center, having just recently been in Europe. I found something I hadn't eaten before on the menu this time, which was the Miyazaki-produced "Southern Island Pork Cutlet." It is made by combining Duroc pork and Agu pork. There was a salad with balsamic vinegar dressing piled high, and the cutlet was buried underneath. The Southern Island-style cutlet, tossed in tomato sauce, was on a whole different level of juiciness compared to any tonkatsu I've had before. It was incredibly delicious. I'd like to try it next time as a cutlet bowl or with tonkatsu sauce.

TVQ Papaya Suzuki's adult TV show introduced the regular guest, Mr. Ishizuka, and the Kiyokawa area. I had noticed the sign when passing by in the car, but because it is located at the back of the passage, I had no idea about the atmosphere. According to the TV show, part of the annex of the inn has been renovated. Lunch is served from 11:30 to 14:00, and then there is tea time until evening. This time, I made my first visit during dinner time. I remember from the TV show that they also sell children's clothes and miscellaneous goods. There are table seats and counter seats. The chef cooks alone, and there is a notice that the cooking time may take a while. First, I had sangria, which was fruity and easy to drink. The bread had a good texture. The vegetable potage was cold but easy to drink. The smoked duck ham with balsamic sauce had a nice balance of sweet and sourness and the umami of the duck meat. The main dish, Angus beef steak and french fries, had a chewy texture with a slow release of umami. By the way, the Angus beef steak is about 250g. I will try to aim for lunch next time. The Sunday lunch had a daily curry with A course and B course. I ordered the daily curry for a light meal. This time, it was a curry made with wild boar meat.

In a residential area of Kiyokawa with not many people around, there is a mysterious alley leading to a place called "Kiyokawa SALON." It's a bar with a Heartland sign and a menu visible from outside. As I ventured down the alley, I found a renovated building housing several shops. Inside, there was a counter, tables, and a space selling miscellaneous goods, creating a unique atmosphere. I sat at the counter, had a Heartland beer, followed by a glass of Chardonnay upon request for something dry. I enjoyed some prosciutto, salami, and a complimentary pear. The lamb meatball with cilantro was also delicious. I finished off with a red wine, appreciating the hospitality of the staff, who seemed to be a couple but were actually not. It was a pleasant experience, and they even have late-night snacks for solo diners.

The restaurant is newly opened and I finally had the chance to visit. The interior is nice with a retail space as well. There are counter seats, tables, and sofa seats, making it suitable for gatherings. They also sell children's clothing, so it seems okay to bring kids along. The fact that the owner is a woman adds to the sense of security. It seems like a good place. The chef's dishes are cost-effective and all made without chemical seasonings, but still delicious. I had the assorted appetizers, harami steak with potatoes, spicy curry, 4 drinks, and a bottle of wine. I'm full! Thank you for the meal.
