I went to a retro coffee shop called "Victor" in front of Tenma Station in Osaka. It's a traditional Showa-style coffee shop with a smoking area, but surprisingly, there were many young female students. The menu had classic coffee shop items like sandwiches, spaghetti, curry, and parfaits. I ordered a pudding sundae and an iced coffee. The iced coffee was strong and bitter, just like a coffee shop's should be. The pudding sundae had apple, orange, grapefruit, kiwi, and cherry on top of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream. The caramel pudding was sweet and soft. Overall, I was satisfied with the sweet and bitter flavors.

Osaka is a treasure trove of classic coffee shops. There are coffee shops everywhere you look. However, the biggest downside is the sign that says "smoking allowed". In Tokyo, it's common for places to be non-smoking, so it's easy to choose where to go without worrying about smoke. But here, people are smoking everywhere. The environment is not great, but I couldn't resist going into this charming coffee shop. The male staff wasn't very friendly, but the parfait and shaved ice I ordered were quite delicious. The nostalgic Showa era atmosphere is fantastic. I love parfaits like this! Despite the overwhelming smoking environment, I was very satisfied with the impressive coffee shop and its offerings.

I often use this Victor's cafe when I want to have dessert after having lunch near Temma. There are many cafes in the Temma Shopping Street that have been around since the Showa era, but many of them have narrow and dark interiors, making it a bit intimidating to enter. Victor's has a wide entrance and you can see inside, making it easy to enter, and they have a wide variety of dessert options. They offer cakes, parfaits, and shaved ice, which is only available in the summer. All of them are in a retro Showa style, with parfaits focusing on fruits, all priced under 1000 yen. I would love to try the pudding parfait, but this time I ordered a light fruit punch. It had a mix of canned and fresh fruits like apples and grapefruits, with firm agar and green beans, all for 600 yen. This place is more of a traditional coffee shop than a modern cafe. While smoking in Osaka has decreased significantly compared to before, those sensitive to cigarette smells may find it tough, but if it doesn't bother you, why not visit after lunch?

I visited the café "Café Victor" in Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street. It is a retro-style café. The pudding a la mode has classic pudding with various fruits as toppings. I enjoyed it with a cream soda. Thank you for the meal.

<First Visit> I visited for lunch and was intrigued by the retro exterior. Inside, there is a short staircase on the right that leads to the second floor. You can see the first floor from there, but the second floor is more relaxing. There is no call button, so you may have to wait a bit. I ordered dry curry and iced coffee, which were served promptly. The dry curry had plenty of vegetables and tasted just right. The iced coffee had a nice depth of flavor. It is a smoking establishment, so non-smokers may find it a bit bothersome. Cost performance: good. It's a nostalgic café with a Showa era atmosphere. Thank you for the meal!

Last Sunday, after drinking at a kushikatsu restaurant, I wanted to go to another place for a drink but unfortunately, my stomach had reached its limit. So, I decided to take a break and head home with something sweet as a finale. I found a nearby cafe called "Kissa Victor" which has been a long-standing cafe established in 1967. When I entered the cafe alone before 12:30, I was impressed by the retro interior and the gorgeous atmosphere with a large stained glass on the wall. I was directed to the second floor and seated at a small table for two, even though there were larger tables available. The waitress quickly came to take my order before I could even look at the menu properly. I ordered the "Milk Baum Set/650 yen" with a hot coffee. The coffee was mild and easy to drink, and the Baumkuchen was elegantly presented with a dollop of whipped cream and a slice of mandarin orange on top. It was a small but exquisite dessert that I enjoyed until the last bite. Despite feeling a bit rushed by the waitress at first, I found the retro cafe to be cozy and comfortable. However, it's important to note that smoking is allowed throughout the cafe, which may bother some customers. Luckily, there were few customers that day, so the smoke wasn't much of an issue for me.

The interior is fantastic. The coffee tastes even better with the hint of purple smoke. Coffee costs around 400 yen. When paired with baumkuchen, it's around 650 yen. They also have matcha flavor. The orange garnish adds a nice touch to the atmosphere. The unique structure with a semi-basement and loft is also charming. Most of all, the cigarette smoke enhances the coffee and sweetness, making it truly wonderful.

I had always been aware of the existence of "Coffee Shop Victor" and was drawn to its charming exterior. I had always wanted to visit, but whenever I went to Temma, I was always focused on drinking alcohol and missed the opportunity. On this day, after visiting five bars, I was finally ready to enjoy a quiet coffee. I decided to balance out all the drinking with something sweet, so I ordered the Milk Baumkuchen set for 650 yen. The coffee was a bit too acidic for my taste, so I tried a different type with a fresher flavor. The baumkuchen was light and delicious. What really stood out to me was the interior of the cafe. The ambiance was simply breathtaking, with a subtle yet luxurious style. The wooden textures and calming color scheme created a sophisticated atmosphere. The sparkling stained glass added a touch of elegance without being too flashy. Not only was the interior impressive, but the layout of the cafe was also well-designed. I sat on the first floor, but there were seating options on the second floor and even a semi-basement area. I definitely want to come back and experience sitting on the second floor and in the basement area. I'm sure the views will be different and I'm looking forward to it.

Visit time: 18:15 on a weekday Waiting time: None Menu: Mixed juice for 500 yen I visited the restaurant with some time to spare before my meal reservation. The interior has a traditional coffee shop atmosphere. The layout with half-basement and mezzanine floors is quite unique. I ordered the mixed juice, which had a banana base and was not too thick, but still delicious. This restaurant allows smoking, so it may be tough for those who are sensitive to cigarette smoke. Thank you for the meal.

The atmosphere inside the shop felt like a time slip, it was lovely. It wasn't like the trendy cafes these days, but more like a nostalgic Showa era vibe with people smoking cigarettes and reading newspapers, or couples chatting. The structure of the shop with the half-basement, first floor, and second floor was quite mysterious! The stained glass was very beautiful. I had a cheesecake which was perfect for my taste! It wasn't baked or souffle, but a combination of both, with a nice texture. The flavor was not too sweet, thanks to the hint of lemon, making it not too heavy. I would love to have it again.

Hello. I'm Keinsuke. Today, I will introduce the coffee shop "Victor" in Temma. I visited this coffee shop as part of my pudding tour in the Temma area. It is located in the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street. It is a traditional coffee shop where smoking is allowed, which is rare these days. I am not a fan of smoky places, but the tobacco smoke here was not too bothersome compared to other smoking coffee shops. The clientele seemed to be mostly middle-aged and elderly, with housewives chatting and salarymen taking a break. In this atmosphere, I enjoyed a pudding! <FOOD> - Pudding (500 yen) The pudding menu offers a standard "Pudding" or "Pudding Sundae." Since it was my first visit, I opted for the normal pudding. When you think of coffee shop pudding, you may imagine a firm pudding with bitter caramel on a silver plate. However, the pudding here is different. It's like a pudding inside a fruit punch, with canned fruits arranged around it and soaked in sweet syrup instead of bitter caramel. It's like a petit pudding a la mode. The pudding is soft and very sweet. If you like sweet puddings, this might be a good choice for you! <Summary> I paired the pudding with my favorite mixed juice, but since the pudding was quite sweet, coffee might have been a better choice. If you enjoy sweet coffee shop puddings, be sure to give it a try. Thank you for the meal. <Points> Clientele: ■1 male ■Male group ■1 female ■Female group □Students □Family ■Elderly □Couple ■Salarymen/OL Age: □10-20s ■30-50s ■60s and above Remarks: □Private room □Scenery □Power outlet □WiFi □Queue □Reservation recommended □Near station □Instagrammable □Quiet ■Long stay □Fun □Hidden gem *Please note that the information is based on my visit, so please be aware of that.

I wanted to try the classic pudding a la mode, but unfortunately it was disappointing. The chocolate parfait for 700 yen was from an old-fashioned cafe, but it wasn't what I expected. The wafer was soggy, and there were cherries, bananas, pineapples, canned mandarins, peaches, and a lot of vanilla ice cream with cornflakes on top. It was a very messy parfait, maybe it's best not to expect much when ordering one. It's okay to stop by for coffee, though.

I went to a cafe called "Victor" in Osaka Temmangu. It is a retro-style coffee shop located in the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street, with a nostalgic atmosphere. I enjoyed a delicious cafe latte with a rich flavor that helped me relax. They also offer dishes like pilaf and omurice, as well as sweet treats like parfaits, which add to the retro charm. I'm curious about the pudding a la mode they have on the menu.

On Saturday at 2:00 PM, I went to "Kissaten Victor" in Ogimachi. This is an old coffee shop that was established in 1962 and is located in the Tenroku shopping street. It has a unique layout with three levels of seating cleverly arranged - half underground, middle 2nd floor, and customer seats. The dark brown wood, brick walls, large stained glass windows, and antique-style furniture give a sense of the shop's history. I ordered a hot "cafe au lait (470 yen)". It arrived in 5 minutes. One sip. Delicious. The coffee flavor and aroma are good despite the generous amount of milk. The temperature is just right. The food menu is also extensive, catering to those who want a proper meal. They also offer shaved ice as a summer special, showing that they are constantly developing their menu despite being an old establishment. The relaxed atmosphere allows you to spend time without worrying about the clock. Thank you for the meal.

As I walked along the shopping street, I was drawn to the elegant atmosphere and couldn't help but stop by. I was able to sit at a table by the window on the second floor, and although the space was compact, the seats towards the back seemed to have a more secretive feel, which I thought was a great aspect of this shop. I ordered an omelette rice and cake set, and enjoyed the retro cafe experience.

Osaka City, Kita Ward. Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street. Drinking and walking with a friend who loves Street Fighter II, at the 8th place. Finally reaching the end. Today's special (600 yen): Cheesecake and coffee set. The hot coffee warms me up, with no bitterness, very refreshing. The cheesecake is moist and slightly firm, with a refreshing sweetness. Even in the Reiwa era where cafes are prevalent, this place stands out. Great atmosphere, even young people are using it. With this, the drinking and walking plan with my Street Fighter II-loving friend comes to an end. Or so I thought, but after this, we had gin at my friend's house... That's pushing it a bit too far.

Yakiniku lunch drinking → mysterious bar → standing drink disappointment → casual izakaya style disappointment → sake brewery getting drunk → stumbling to udon, and finally coffee and dessert. So, I was curious about this place for a while. ・Cake set ¥600 It's a reasonable price, and they also serve plenty of coffee. The interior is very nice. I was surprised by my own appearance when I saw the photo later. After drinking too much, I felt like I had been hit by a sonic boom Σ((*ω*)) Next time, I want to enjoy it properly while sober w. Thank you for the meal.

After lunch, I stopped by to rest my feet at this place where smoking is allowed on the first floor, semi-basement, and mezzanine. I ordered the hotcake set with lemon squash. The hotcakes were simple, but that simplicity was nice! The taste was somehow nostalgic. The lemon squash was not only sweet but also had a sourness that really hit the spot for my tired body.

A long-established coffee shop located between Temmabashi Station and Ogimachi Station! I had been curious about it for a while, so I decided to try it out for the first time. There was a sign outside offering a 100 yen discount on cake sets, which cost 600 yen, so I went in. However, I soon realized that smoking was allowed in the entire shop, which made me regret my decision a little. I ordered a cake set for 600 yen, which came with an iced coffee. The coffee was refreshing and delicious, especially since I was quite thirsty. The cheesecake included in the set was not freshly made, and there was a slight off-putting smell that bothered me a bit. I apologize for being sensitive. The taste was similar to cheesecakes sold in supermarkets. Even though it was affordable, I wished it had more of a homemade feel.

Regarding the matter of October 16, 2021 (Saturday), it cannot be said that it is for everyone, right? When I looked inside from the entrance, it seemed quite popular! I had walked all the way to Tenjinbashi, and the sun was strong and hot, so I was convinced that this must be a good shop and entered! Rather than saying I entered, I felt attached to the name of the shop, Victor! For an old fogey like me, the logo mark of Victor, which used to be a phonograph manufacturer, reminded me of a dog listening to a phonograph, which was a big attraction! However, for non-smokers who have not paid taxes on smoke for the past 25 years, it was a bit tough, as it was a shop for smokers. As soon as I entered, the stylish interior was slightly hazy with thin smoke. I noticed that the place was filled with the scent of a pachinko parlor and hesitated a bit, but out of respect for the smoke taxpayers, I received the baptism of secondhand smoke! However, I must admit that as soon as I entered the shop, I inadvertently complained to the young female staff, "Ah, the smoke is terrible." The staff explained, "I'm sorry, but smoking is allowed here!" Our orders were as follows: I had Uji Kanetoki for 700 yen (including tax), and my wife had a chocolate sundae for 600 yen. In about five minutes, the slightly cute Uji Kanetoki arrived — I immediately took a bite or two with a spoon! The canned sweet bean paste was decent, and the other fruits were also canned, right? There was no particular excitement, but I am grateful for being able to cool down my heated body in this hot weather. Non-smokers should be more careful in the future — why is it so crowded here? This was a place where smokers could enjoy a moment of peace and relaxation. Thank you for the meal.
