I arrived just before 5:10 PM and was the first in line, so I was able to get in without a reservation. I was dining alone, so I was seated right away, but was told that I had until 6:30 PM. I had plenty of time, so I quickly ordered the mixed horumon, liver, and lamb. The food arrived very quickly! As a service, they brought out some onions first, which was a nice palate cleanser for someone dining alone. The mixed horumon had a slightly strong salty flavor, and after about 3-4 slices, I needed another beer. The liver was thinly sliced and had a shiny appearance, which I really enjoyed. I love liver, so I always order it whether I'm eating yakiniku or yakitori. The portion was generous, perfect for enjoying it all by myself. Finally, I had the lamb with wasabi, and it was also delicious, with a unique flavor not found in the sauce. They also had highball drinks, including a mega size, which was fantastic. I will definitely be going back!

I enjoyed it even when I went alone! Grilling the raw lamb on the charcoal grill was delicious without any unpleasant smell. The simmered giblets were piping hot (I have a sensitive tongue so I couldn't eat it right away) and the texture of the giblets melting in my mouth was great. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

Charcoal grill restaurant in the business district! It was my first time visiting. Today, there were 9 colleagues with me. The charcoal grill restaurant is a friend of salarymen, isn't it? Salted hormone, beef tongue, frankfurter, cow's stomach, and more. Cheers with beer! The hormone at the charcoal grill restaurant is just as good as other places. Before I knew it, we had finished 3 bottles of shochu! I may have had a bit too much to drink. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Salt hormone charcoal and Sapporo Station West Exit store. I visited after a meeting at work. The inside of the restaurant is clean and not at all smoky. It was a hot day, so the beer and hormone were amazing. I enjoyed it very much. I will visit again.

I made a reservation while enjoying the Jim Beam Summer Fest held at the Red Brick Terrace. It's a short walk, less than 10 minutes away. It was early but quite crowded. This place serves dishes with a salty flavor. The seasoning is just right, so I enjoyed it as it is. I tried various dishes, but I particularly liked the upper hormone and seseri. The Namuru was refreshing and had a gentle flavor. It's reasonably priced, so I plan to go again. Reservation is a must!

On Sundays, I usually take a break from drinking, but I decided to have some yakiniku this time. Luckily, there was a spot available at the counter.
- I tried the mixed horumon and both were seasoned just right, but personally, I preferred the salted horumon. It really comes down to personal preference in terms of texture.
- I had pork sagari, which I believe was my first time trying it. It had a flavor similar to beef sagari, and it was a great discovery!
For those who have been to this place, you'll understand that the menu lineup is very reasonably priced compared to other yakiniku restaurants. Next time, I want to try some chicken dishes.

I love the taste and atmosphere of charcoal grilling, so I visit this place multiple times. I was worried it might close down since it's located at the west exit of Sapporo Station, but I'm glad it's still open. They don't have all-you-can-drink, but even if you drink a lot and eat, it stays within 5,000 yen per person, which makes it easy to visit. I usually order the same meat, but recently I tried the pork belly and got hooked. The grilled rice balls they serve when you start feeling a bit greasy are also delicious. Having two small rice balls is just right for a change of taste from the meat. They also serve asparagus in the summer, which adds to the excitement. If you ask, they will bring out mayonnaise. I recommend adding shichimi spice and dipping it in the squid grill. It tends to be crowded, so I always make a reservation before going.

In April 2023, I went to the popular restaurant "Sumi-ya" located under the Satsu Station overpass. It was around 8:30 PM on a weekday, so the solo counter with only 5 seats was relatively empty. I finally managed to get a seat and started grilling meat on the shichirin. I ordered a cold beer first and then enjoyed the delicious meats like pork sagari and chicken seseri. The unique seasoning and quality of the meat at Sumi-ya were impressive, especially considering the affordable prices. I also tried their kimpa, which turned out to be unexpectedly generous in portion. I enjoyed the meal with some more drinks and even after spending around 2000 yen, I felt like I would love to visit this great restaurant again and again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

On the second day in Sapporo, I wanted to eat meat again, so I went to a restaurant near the north exit from my accommodation. It was before 6 pm, and I didn't have a reservation, so the staff told me there would be a 20 to 30-minute wait. I decided to wait instead of going to another restaurant in Susukino. As I waited, I saw reserved customers being seated one after another. Then, a walk-in customer was told they would have to wait 60 minutes. Feeling anxious, I almost left, but after 30 minutes, I was seated at the counter. I quickly placed my order for drinks and food, with about five staff members in front of me, probably because I had to wait. I had time to look at the menu during the wait. I ordered Sapporo Classic, pork belly, beef rib roast, raw lamb, asparagus, cold tomato, and onions as a service. The asparagus was thick and cooked on a stove. The pork belly was slightly burnt, and the onions were charred. The raw lamb and rib roast needed more time to cook, but I was hesitant about the raw lamb because of a past allergic reaction. The asparagus was delicious. I had a few drinks and finished the meal. There was no sauce provided, so I observed that there were no sauce dishes around. You eat what is served as it is. The seasoning was only salt. The meal ended in about an hour, and I was asked to pay again, but it was worth it. I told the staff it was delicious and concluded my second day of meat-eating in Sapporo.

I love Charcoal Grill restaurant so much that I even visited the main store in Asahikawa. Since they moved to the west exit of Sapporo Station, my clothes don't smell like grilled meat as much as when they were on Tanuki Koji Street, but it's still recommended to wear clothes that you don't mind getting a bit smelly. When it comes to Charcoal Grill, the first thing that comes to mind is hormone (offal), but actually, everything else on the menu is delicious too. I highly recommend trying the cold noodles and skirt steak. They also offer a variety of drinks in mega sizes, making it a great value for money. It's advisable to make a reservation for weekend visits. The staff can come off a bit indifferent, but they seem to be just busy.

It has a great cost performance and the staff are friendly with smiles! The beer was perfectly chilled which was fantastic ^_^ If there were more varieties of beef, it would have been even better. I would definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

Sapporo Station's popular restaurant, Sumi-ya, is also located in Nakajima Park. The Sapporo Station branch seems to be larger. Delicious meat and delicious sake can be enjoyed here, making it a wonderland of charcoal. The glasses may feel sticky and the level of customer service may not be very high, but I think it is a cost-effective restaurant!

I visited alone. It was close to 8 pm and there was a bit of a line. The counter was filled with solo diners, so it was totally fine to be alone. I ordered salted hormone and upper hormone. Personally, I prefer the salted hormone! Onions come as a service. I had beer and two types of hormone for 1500 yen, and got change back. It's a good place for a quick drink.

Dinner in the treasure trove of food, "Hokkaido". I thought I could eat anything after sweating a lot at the live show, but what's with this choice??? Even though there are similar local restaurants, I ended up visiting this place, thinking it might turn into a late-night escape mission. It was located on the second floor of a building under a guard, and I wasn't sure about its structure, but surprisingly, it was quite spacious inside. I arrived around 9 pm, during the holidays, and about half of the seats were filled. I ordered "Raw Lamb 582 yen," "Beef Tura 582 yen," "Upper Hormone 450 yen," and onions were free. They came with a salty flavor. When grilled until crispy, they were delicious! Definitely the right choice! "Raw Lamb" was not on the local menu, so I was impressed. Hooray for Hokkaido! Feeling great, I also ordered the seafood "Hokki Salt Grilled 500 yen." The visual appearance was quite different from what I had imagined ( • _ • ) But when grilled, it concentrated the umami flavor like dried fish. Not bad, but personally, I was a bit disappointed. For drinks, I had the "Freshly Squeezed Grapefruit Sour 482 yen," and luckily, it had the most juice squeezed out so far, which made me happy and gave it a high rating ( •͈ ᴗ •͈) My companion had two pints of draft beer for 519 yen each, totaling 3990 yen. We ate and drank casually and headed to the second place.

As a salt hormone specialty restaurant, they serve a lot of organs, but the meat is also good. The raw lamb and sagari are thickly sliced, so they are tender even when grilled on both sides. The volume and price are amazing! However, it's easy to burn because it's difficult to adjust the charcoal fire. You won't have time for vegetables!

Salt hormone is popular at the branch of Asahikawa Honten. The Asahikawa Honten was full when I visited before, so it remains a challenge for next time. They also have several branches in Sapporo, and their frozen products are widely sold in supermarkets in Sapporo. I have enjoyed their food at home a few times and liked it, so I wanted to visit this challenge store soon. We visited with three people at 18:00 on a weekday, and about 70% of the seats were already taken. The restaurant has counter seats, table seats, and a raised seating area, so it has a large capacity. The menu includes various types of hormone such as pork, raw lamb, beef, and chicken. The seasoning is all salt-based, and there are no sauce options. They also have a wide selection of alcohol. We tried various types of hormone on a small charcoal grill, and all of them were delicious! The "Mixed Hormone (salt hormone and upper hormone) (396 yen)" was so good that we ordered it multiple times. The service was friendly and good. The cost performance is also quite good. We ate and drank a lot, so the unit price was a bit high for hormone, but we were satisfied. Overall, it was truly "cheap and delicious!" I was very satisfied with the salt hormone. I will visit again, and next time I visit Asahikawa on business, I will definitely make a reservation and go.

Underneath the elevated train tracks, there is a shop where the passing trains make a loud noise. Everyone doesn't seem to mind the noise as they enjoy salted hormone with beer, repeating this cycle of eating and drinking, which brings them happiness. The shop opens at 4 PM, but I thought it would be less crowded on a Sunday at that time. However, when I arrived at 4:30 PM without a reservation, the counter was already full. They told me that the back tables were reserved from 6 PM, so I could stay until then. I sat down and immediately ordered two servings of mixed hormone, one serving of raw lamb, and raw beer. The beer, hormone, and raw lamb arrived quickly. The speed of service was impressive. There was a group of people already drinking and having a great time, seeming to be celebrating completing the Hokkaido Marathon. Well done to them. I ordered another raw beer, two more servings of mixed hormone, and a mega highball before finishing. The total bill came out to a little over 3,000 yen.

After several years, I visited for the first time since moving from Tanuki-koji. It was the day before a holiday, 7:00 PM, and it was full. We waited for about 10 minutes before being seated. Even while we were waiting, 3 or 4 groups of customers without reservations came and gave up. Truly a popular spot, just as expected of Sumi-ya. Reservations are a must. The interior of the restaurant is different from when it was on Tanuki-koji, there is no smoke! It used to be so smoky in the old location. But even so, the smell of charcoal after several years still stimulates my appetite. We ordered salted hormone, sagari (skirt meat), lamb, pork belly, red clam, vegetables, motsu (offal) stew, rice, small beers x2, non-alcoholic grapefruit juice. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. And despite being so delicious, I had forgotten how generous the portions are. We definitely over-ordered. However, my husband, who is excited about returning home after 3 years, managed to eat everything until the end. He says that the first thing he wanted to eat in Sapporo was Sumi-ya. If he really wants to eat it, we could go to the Omiya branch... Even after eating so much, it was really cheap and delicious, only 5000 yen.

On June 21, 2022, there is a yakiniku restaurant at the west exit of Sapporo Station. It's a popular spot among people coming back from work because the prices are reasonable, making it a great option for a quick meal! The menu includes items like mixed horumon, raw lamb, beef liver, rib kalbi, grilled rice balls, and meat miso. I had a chance to visit this place while looking for a second bar to go to around 8 pm. The restaurant was not crowded, with a spacious interior that felt clean and well-ventilated. The atmosphere was not as smoky as I expected. The variety of meats and side dishes was impressive, and the yakiniku cooked over charcoal was delicious. The mixed horumon was a highlight, with a good balance of flavors. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience, and I look forward to visiting again to try more dishes.

Welcome.---------- June 2022 ----------Entrance to the alley connecting under the elevated structure in the west 6th block of Satsueki area → Walking, you'll see the distinctive facade |o| °д°)ノClattering counter with 4 seats. Arrived at 5 pm but already 2 people were grilling. By 5:30 pm, all 4 seats were filled with working folks finishing early, haha. The raised seating area is spacious - they were grilling for multiple groups simultaneously. They must have started early - maybe even before 5 pm. Since it's under the elevated structure, you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere while listening to the passing trains. Ordering is easier at the counter. "Remosawa" (= ´∀´)ノ was good, but the bottled chu-hi might have been better, haha. Since they just opened, the meat was served quickly. The service onion (expensive but worth it) arrived with the meat. "Grill it, grill it!! o(`ω´ )o" The "Hormone" (offal) is hearty, so grill it heartily and chew vigorously. It's tiring on the jaw, but worth it. Consider getting the "Mixed Hormone" with rectum and half portions. Sprinkle garlic powder generously on the grill and plate. Your tongue might get numb if you drink too much alcohol. "Seseri" (chicken neck) is the best part of the chicken. "Sagari" (pork diaphragm) has a good thickness and a strong taste of red meat. An hour is enough, but if you're dining alone, you can only sit at the counter. I had to wait at the entrance because it was crowded. They only accept cash - they should consider adding PayPay or something, haha.
