I often visit this place. It's a great deal at 2200 yen for all-you-can-drink wine, so I end up having multiple glasses. The gratin is consistently delicious, and all the dishes that change based on the ingredients are also tasty. The staff are very friendly, making it a highly recommended restaurant.

(2023.08.12) The "Keyaki Street" that leads from Jingumae to Roppongi is lined with approximately 100 zelkova trees on both sides of the street. It is a trendy area with a stylish atmosphere, similar to a smaller version of Tokyo's Omotesando, and is within walking distance from Tenjin. Many shops and restaurants line the street, making it a popular area. During the Obon period, many shops are closed, so I made a morning reservation online. When I arrived, I saw a sign saying "Preparing" under the stairs and no lights on the second floor. Feeling a bit anxious, I climbed the stairs and found the restaurant tucked away in the back, hidden from the street. The calm and well-decorated interior had about 30 seats filled with couples and groups of women. I was relieved that I had made a reservation. The lunch options were "Today's Lunch" and "Sandwich Lunch," but you could also add a lunch set to the evening a la carte menu. After some hesitation, I chose the "Today's Lunch" with the main dish being "Chicken and Mushroom Gratin." The dish had about 30-40g of chicken in each piece, so I had to cut it with a knife. The crispy skin and juicy, tender meat paired perfectly with the al dente penne pasta in a savory béchamel sauce. It was so delicious that I finished every last bite with the baguette provided. When I mentioned the sign to the staff, they explained that they kept it up because they were fully booked with reservations. While their kindness in not turning away customers who had climbed all the way to the second floor is admirable, it may give the impression of being disorganized. Perhaps a sign saying "Fully booked with reservations until XX:XX" would better convey the popularity of the restaurant.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is relaxing, with music that matches the ambiance, creating a space where time flows leisurely. I had the gratin set for lunch, and the timing of the meal and coffee service seemed well thought out. The gratin was delicious and piping hot, and the coffee was surprisingly good too. I'm curious about the pasta, so I want to go back again.

There aren't many restaurants specializing in gratin, so I've been wanting to try this place for a while. The atmosphere is calm and chic, with both counter and table seating available. In addition to gratin, they also offer meat dishes and pasta. I ordered the assorted appetizer plate and the gratin with large oysters and scallops. The appetizer plate included chicken ham, prosciutto, olives, and salmon marinated. Everything was delicious, especially the salmon marinated. The gratin contained spinach and bacon, penne with large oysters and scallops, and was quite filling. The sauce was a bit on the runny side, not very rich in flavor, but it paired well with the milky taste of cheese and oysters. I wanted to try more dishes, but I was already full from the gratin.

Near the Jingukotsu intersection, there is a restaurant specializing in gratin on the second floor of a building. I was intrigued by the idea of a gratin specialty store, so I decided to give it a try. In terms of infection prevention measures (hand sanitizers at each table: ✔️, staff wearing masks: ✔️, social distancing: ✔️, ventilation: ✔️), the restaurant was well-prepared. The interior was surprisingly spacious and bright due to the large windows. Each table had hypochlorous acid water available for sanitization.
The menu offered not only gratin but also pasta and risotto. Although I was tempted by the risotto menu, I stuck to my initial plan and ordered the "Shrimp and Spinach Gratin" (968 yen including tax) with a lunch set (salad, mini baguette, drink for 550 yen including tax).
The lunch salad consisted mostly of lettuce with a few tomato slices, topped with cheese, which I enjoyed. The Shrimp and Spinach Gratin with Américaine sauce had a mild and gentle flavor. It was not as filling as I expected, and I was able to finish it with the bread. There were plenty of small shrimp in the gratin, which was a delight for shrimp lovers. The baguette was served warm.
The iced coffee portion was generous. While I wished the gratin had a bit more flavor, I was satisfied with the abundance of shrimp. In total, the gratin and lunch set cost 1518 yen including tax (credit cards accepted).

I came to this restaurant for lunch that I've been curious about for a while. There are just too many interesting places to try! Despite being a gratin restaurant, the interior is chic and has a sophisticated atmosphere. The menu offers not only gratin dishes but also meat dishes, vegetables, and pasta. As a fan of Gorgonzola, I ordered the Gorgonzola and sweet potato gratin, while my friend ordered the croquette gratin. The gratins arrived piping hot and were delicious with a light sauce. The sauce oozed out from the penne pasta, making it even more enjoyable. It's a bit pricey to add a set (+500 yen), so it might be better to order wine and relax if you come for lunch. The food took a bit of time to be served, so it's nice to take your time and enjoy. The only downside was that the restaurant was a bit warm, possibly due to the oven. I'm debating whether to come back for dinner.

The image seemed to have a high female presence, and it was just as I imagined. The kind and dandy owner, along with the efficient master, run the place smoothly. They interact with regular customers in a lively manner and even greeted us warmly when we sat at the counter. The signature Croquette Gratin was filled with large chunks of ingredients, making it very hearty. The white sauce was a bit runny, and we opted for extra cheese. We also tried the beef cheek red wine stew with summer truffles on top. The owner mentioned that lightly searing it and drizzling truffle oil would enhance the aroma, and it was indeed true. The rich flavor of the red wine sauce paired perfectly with the fragrant truffles. They also poured wine generously, making it a great value for money. I ended up drinking more than I planned, so I'll definitely revisit with a friend who loves wine next time.

Located in front of the Keigocho bus stop on Keyaki Street in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, this catchy restaurant "Clos" offers a unique combination of gratin and wine. The restaurant's French cuisine, led by a talented chef with an impressive background, is truly outstanding. The name "Clos" comes from the French term for a wine vineyard plot, combined with the owner's surname "Kuroki." The chef, who previously worked at a prestigious restaurant in Nishi-Azabu, has created a menu that showcases his expertise. The salads, appetizer platter, and main dishes like beef fillet and foie gras are all exceptional. The restaurant also offers a popular gratin made with oysters and scallops, topped with summer truffles. The cozy atmosphere and welcoming space make it a great spot for solo diners or groups. Don't miss out on this hidden gem that is sure to become a hit! Enjoy a gourmet experience at Clos.

This is my second visit. It's been a while since my first visit, but with TV coverage at the end of last year, I heard the menu has changed quite a bit, so I was looking forward to enjoying it again. This time, I came with a friend as we both like to eat a lot. When we arrived, we found out that the chef had changed. The previous chef now manages the entire restaurant, while the new chef used to work at a well-known restaurant. He has a lovely mustache and is very reliable. We visited on a Friday evening just before opening, so we had a chance to chat with the chef, but as more customers arrived, it became harder to get his attention. We ordered a special wine flow drink menu, which is recommended for wine lovers. We ordered three types of gratin, one risotto, and one meat dish. The menu now offers the option of adding or excluding penne, with no change in price. This allows customers to control their carbohydrate intake. We added some more dishes and enjoyed a satisfying meal. The base for the gratin dishes is the same, but those with shrimp use a sauce made from shrimp heads, which enhances the flavor. The restaurant has evolved a lot, and I look forward to supporting their progress with gratin and wine. Thank you for the delicious meal.

First of all, my impression is that "I haven't been to such a satisfying restaurant in a long time." Everything I ate was delicious. The presentation was also great. And I was worried about the prices because they were surprisingly cheap. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice. The game dishes that other customers were eating looked very delicious and had a good portion size. But most of all, the service from the staff was excellent. That day, they were having a wine all-you-can-drink event, and the male staff member guided us very politely. He treated all customers the same way. I thought it was a very pleasant restaurant. I think the piping hot gratin would be perfect for this cold season, but I'm a little worried about how they will do in the summer. I hope such a good restaurant will continue for a long time.

There is a gratin and wine shop located right by the Kenko bus stop, which is loved by many women. The shop is run by a chef who used to work at a top French restaurant, and he creates dishes using seasonal ingredients in addition to gratin. The wine is free-flowing for 2,500 yen, which is very convenient for those who enjoy drinking. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are all excellent at this cozy restaurant. I will definitely visit again.

Today, I went all the way to Fukuoka with my favorite senior sommelier to have a "Blind Battle" at a restaurant in Akasaka. I casually stumbled upon a delicious looking restaurant. The master kindly served us all the dishes blindfolded! Thank you so much, master. The famous gratin was amazing, with the perfect balance of béchamel and just the right amount of baking. It was our second stop, but we ate happily! Thank you for the wonderful meal! #Gratin #Wine #Akasaka #Fukuoka #WineBar #Bistro #French #FukuokaCity #GratinAndWine #Sommelier #Hirao #Yakuin #KyushuTravel #Blind #KyushuGourmet #KyushuTourism #SpecialtyShop #Winestagram #BechamelSauce #Oven #OvenCooking.

I was completely absorbed in the hot and creamy gratin on the menu. The dressing on the salad was just right with the vinegar. The charcuterie was also very satisfying. I drank plenty of alcohol, and the price was quite reasonable, so I am very satisfied.

This is a shop popular with female customers. It seems like a place where you can casually stop by alone, as there is a counter. It might be perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and going home feeling a little tipsy. It was a cozy place to be in.

Lobster gratin is a specialty dish. It has a gentle flavor that is not too rich, so you won't get tired of eating it. The restaurant has a surprisingly spacious interior, making it easy for both groups and individuals to visit.

The wine free flow option was interesting, priced at 2000 yen with no specific brand and staff members pouring the wine for you. It was made clear that it is not all-you-can-drink, but rather for normal consumption. People who get drunk or cause trouble are not allowed to participate. There was another menu option offering 4 glasses for 2,500 yen, so it is suitable for those who want to drink more.

I went to a gratin specialty shop. The shop was clean and had a nice atmosphere. I had a sweet potato and gorgonzola gratin, which was piping hot and delicious. The salad that came with the set was also plentiful! I want to try other gratins too!
