I was happy to see that they have opened a shop at Tenjin Mitsukoshi, as before they were only at Hakata Station and Nakasu. It was the beginning of April, so the cherry blossoms and flower beds were beautiful. The donuts were warm and fluffy since they were freshly baked, and they were delicious. "Dorayaki Don" and "Dojou" are both 108 yen. "Hagino Tsuki" is a soft manju with agar jelly for 120 yen plus tax. The "Shittori Dounatsu" is 99 yen, baked so it's not heavy and has a good shelf life. It's not incredibly delicious, but it's addictive.

There was also a Satsuma Jyukiya store on the 2nd floor of Fukuoka Mitsukoshi. I didn't know there was a store in Mitsukoshi. It's more convenient when staying in Tenjin or Nakasu. Freshly baked goods are always good, they are soft and delicious. I made sure to buy souvenirs at the airport store.

The staff seemed a bit disorganized, maybe because the shop was busy, which was a bit disappointing. But if I come across this shop at another event, I will definitely want to buy from them again.

Kasutadon is a famous shop known for their donuts. I've known about this shop since I was young because it's a popular souvenir from Kagoshima. But when they opened a branch in Nakasu and I tried their baked donuts, I got hooked! I've lost count of how many times I've bought them. They are affordable and delicious! They make great souvenirs as well. They are not too sweet, moist, and not fried in oil, so you can eat 2-3 without feeling guilty. Healthy baked donuts. Highly recommended!

"Sattsuma Jokkiya" located in the basement of Mitsukoshi department store. Originally a shop selling Kagoshima's karukan, and more recently a shop selling kasutadon, but now they mainly offer freshly baked donuts. One donut costs 86 yen.
