Actually, this is my second visit. Last time, I was so scared that I ended up with sweat pouring down my face while eating the England curry, and the owner scolded me, saying, "Why did you come to a Sri Lankan curry restaurant?!" It was delicious though, the England curry (spiciness level 1). Today, I tried the dry curry, specifically the Sri Lankan dry curry. The rice was like pilaf, and when asked about the spiciness level, I chose mild. I was a bit worried if the term "mild" would be understood in Japanese, but it seemed to have been. The dry curry here is actually the rice part of the Sri Lankan curry, named dry curry. So, the Sri Lankan curry's rice part is like pilaf. Quite luxurious, isn't it? This curry is a mix of spicy and non-spicy parts, but when you choose mild, the spicy parts are less prominent. They adjust the spiciness like this. The mild spiciness was really mild. Maybe I could have handled the regular spiciness? The balance of coconut milk flavor and spices was just right, and it paired well with the dry curry. Actually, the dry curry was delicious! There were chunky vegetables scattered throughout, adding a nice touch. The restaurant had a bit of a draft, so it was a bit cold, but by the time I finished eating, it was nice and cozy. Maybe because of the generous portion, there were mostly men in the restaurant, and I felt a bit out of place, but I was satisfied to have found a delicious curry. Thank you for the meal!
