It's been a while since I visited with two friends. The pudding here is still delicious as ever, and at only 330 yen with strawberries on top! Osaka's food is truly amazing. After a week of drinking, my stomach hurts so I opted for a strong coffee with almond milk latte. I wish they sold this pudding in Kanto, like at Odakyu or Sotetsu Rosen, where they used to sell it in plastic cups. It's always on sale there, so I used to buy a lot (laughs). Please start selling this pudding somewhere in Kanto. Also, why aren't 551's shumai available in Kanto? Even though 551's meat buns are sold in Kanto supermarkets, it's a shame the shumai isn't.

Marufuku Coffee was a nice place to stop by when feeling tired from walking. It was a very hot day, so I couldn't resist ordering an iced coffee. My companion had the adult coffee jelly marriage and a hot coffee. It was our first time trying coffee in Osaka. I was surprised by how strong the iced coffee was. I usually drink strong coffee, but this was intense. It was tough to drink black, so I ended up pouring all the milk from the coffee jelly into it. The coffee itself had a strong aroma and almost no acidity. The atmosphere was nice, but the seating was quite close together. There were many elderly customers.

Attracted by the retro interior and uniformed staff, I entered the shop. At the register, there was a lady who seemed like the mascot of the place, welcoming customers. The cafe had a modern feel from the Taisho era. I ordered a cake set. The mango and chocolate cake was a great combination. It was nice that they are open until 11 pm.

This is the main store of a coffee shop that was established in 1934 and has expanded nationwide, located in Aioi Bridge Shopping Street. There are 95 seats on the first floor and 22 seats on the second floor, making it spacious. When I visited on a weekday afternoon, there were a certain number of foreign tourists inside, and some seats were available. I was guided to my preferred seat and sat at a table for four. The interior is preserved in its original Showa era style, with antique decorations on the walls and glass windows, giving it a nostalgic atmosphere. Looking at the menu, the prices were a bit on the higher side for a coffee shop, so I ordered an iced coffee for 600 yen. I was asked if I wanted it sweetened or unsweetened. The coffee had a clean taste with a rich roast flavor. The acidity was well-balanced, making it enjoyable to drink whether with milk or black, with a pleasant lingering aftertaste.

I arrived at the restaurant around 3:00 pm for a meeting. It wasn't too crowded at that time. I have visited this place in Namba a few times for work meetings. I had about 30 minutes before my appointment, so I decided to order the hashed beef rice. It wasn't anything special, just a classic hashed beef rice dish you would find at a traditional coffee shop. They had a curry set with a drink, but the hashed beef rice was only available as a single item, so I ordered them separately. I ordered a black iced coffee, which was served sweetened by default. It was very refreshing and perfect for the hot weather. I will definitely be visiting this place again in the future.

Today, I ordered the B set sandwich for ¥740, which comes with an iced cafe au lait. The sandwich was a mini size but still sufficient for breakfast. It consisted of a firm-textured sandwich bread with a mix of egg, ham, and lettuce, held together well by a mustard-flavored mayonnaise. The iced cafe au lait had a good balance of coffee flavor and mildness. I look forward to trying their hot coffee next time. Despite being crowded with Chinese tourists in the morning, the elegant and comfortable atmosphere of this cafe made the experience enjoyable.

The main store of a long-established coffee shop, which is mainly located in the Kansai region, is in Sennichimae. Originally, the main store was said to be in Shinsekai, but shortly after the war, it was relocated here. The store has a retro feel and a nice atmosphere. This time, I ordered an iced coffee and hotcakes. The coffee comes sweetened by default, so I had it unsweetened. The hotcakes were the nostalgic type cooked on a copper plate, and I got two thick and fluffy ones. They were nicely browned on the outside and looked great. I had a relaxing time and was able to get some work done as well.

I was relieved to catch the Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka, as the confusion and crowds from yesterday seemed like a distant memory. I just departed from Nagoya, and it looks like the train is almost full. Ending my visit to my hometown with a trip from Nara to Osaka has become a common pattern for me lately. I usually have a dinner gathering with friends, spend the night, and then head to Tokyo from Shin-Osaka the next morning. With some time to spare before my meeting, I decided to visit the nostalgic Marufuku Coffee shop. The atmosphere inside hasn't changed much, it still gives off that old-time vibe. It's quite a famous tourist spot now, isn't it? I even saw some international visitors around, which felt oddly intriguing. I remember the place being frequented by older regulars back in the day, even though it was already a well-known establishment. The menu didn't seem as extensive as it is now, but my memory from those times is a bit fuzzy. I used to come here often for meetings (a distant memory), but eventually, I didn't need to anymore, and then I just stopped coming altogether... or did I? My memory is not entirely clear. Anyway, Marufuku Coffee has always served strong coffee. Ordering an iced coffee this time, I realized they have Americano as well. For lunch, I enjoyed the "Ume no Hana" dish, and despite having a dinner gathering later, I couldn't resist ordering a mini pudding. I don't remember them having mini puddings before. The strawberry topping was cute, and the pudding itself was delicious. It wasn't really that mini, to be honest. I felt a bit of regret after finishing it, but it didn't affect my dinner gathering at all.

Today, I had a day off so I wandered around Namba area. I got thirsty so I took a break. I love the coffee here♪ The service is not the best (lol) but the coffee with a bitter and rich taste paired with something sweet is a classic combination! The coffee here has low acidity, so it may not be suitable for those who prefer a refreshing taste.

I love Marufuku Coffee Sen Nichi Mae Honten in Namba! I often go there, and the retro atmosphere inside the store with the displayed tableware is very lovely, allowing me to experience a different time than usual. This time, I ordered pudding and baked goods, and as always, the pudding is delicious and never gets old no matter how many times I eat it! I can always enter without waiting and enjoy a leisurely time at this highly recommended cafe!

I can't drink alcohol, so I was very happy to find this evening cafe. I tried the strawberry tart set for 1140 yen. Evening cafes usually charge around 1000 yen just for coffee, but here the prices are the same at night, which I thought was a good deal. They don't accept PayPay, but you can pay with a card. The interior of the cafe is very spacious and stylish. I stopped by for something sweet after dinner, and the staff were very kind and nice.

We enjoyed okonomiyaki and takoyaki, then strolled through the shopping street. We stumbled upon a very retro café called Marufuku! Let's go inside (even though we just ate and left the restaurant 3 minutes ago, haha). Both my husband and I were drawn into the shop. The smell of coffee is lovely! It's non-smoking, which is great for pregnant women. My husband had a blend coffee and a mini pudding, while I chose a mixed juice. The mixed juice in Kansai is delicious! The atmosphere of the shop is also nice!

I went to adjust the time in the morning at 09:20 and found out about a birthday coupon I hadn't seen before (>_<) It's 15% off and can be used up to 3 times until 04/17. Thank you~ (^^) The restaurant was full right from the morning... Just as I entered, it became full and others had to wait outside... After a while, they opened the 2nd floor. I ordered the morning B set with a hot cafe au lait... I added a mini salad. It took 20 minutes for the salad to arrive... And then the cafe au lait... Normally, the morning set is served quickly but because it was crowded, the sandwich finally arrived at 09:55. It took 30 minutes. The cafe au lait was a little cold... (T_T) Well, it's a popular place so I guess it can't be helped.

I arrived around 1pm on Saturday and luckily got a seat easily, but it quickly became full. The atmosphere of the old-fashioned coffee shop is very nice. The customers range from young girls to elderly people. I had a cream soda and pistachio cake. The pancakes were also delicious!

The interior of the store has a retro atmosphere, like an old-fashioned coffee shop. I ordered the original Tamagodake sandwich and hotcakes coffee set. The sandwich had half-cooked eggs with a generous amount of egg, making it a bit difficult to eat. However, it was quite delicious. The hotcakes took 20 minutes to bake, as I was told, but waiting for 20 minutes was worth it. They were fluffy and freshly baked. You can choose between sweetened or unsweetened iced coffee, and I chose sweetened, which was a bit too sweet for me. I wish I could have adjusted the sweetness myself. I recommend this place to those who want to experience the retro vibe of the past. Thank you for the meal!

We arrived around 2 pm on Saturday and there were about 7 people waiting in line. However, since there are many seats, we were able to sit down in about 15 minutes. They only have one type of coffee, which is quite strong when ordered alone. But when paired with pancakes, it's just right and very delicious! Truly amazing.

You can also choose syrup, but the bitterness of the coffee goes well with honey. [Interior of the restaurant] It has a Showa retro atmosphere. Just the atmosphere alone makes you feel like you've entered a different world, but there is also a calmness that makes you want to stay longer. [Staff service] The staff provide polite service reminiscent of a long-established coffee shop.

A lovely old-fashioned coffee shop. I stopped by before checking in due to travel fatigue and was grateful for the chance encounter with this famous shop. The staff warned me that "our coffee is quite strong," but I enjoyed it. The coffee was rich and just the way I like it. ☕️
