Sweets TOKYO Top 100 Stores 2018-2023 winner. The name of the shop, "Addict au Sucre," means "sweet addiction" in French. The shop had a stylish atmosphere. In addition to cakes, they also had various pastries like croissants, and cookies in cat-shaped cans. I was torn between buying a fig tart and ended up purchasing two types of madeleines that do not require a cold pack. I got the Madeleine Framboise and Madeleine. When ordering, they ask for your name to call out when your order is ready. I ate the madeleines at home at room temperature. They weren't as moist as I expected. I would like to try their cakes next time.

I came near the Tokyu Line, which is known for its many famous patisseries, for work, so I decided to visit Adict au Sucre that I had been wanting to go to for a while. It's relatively close to the Tachikawa Station, and even someone like me who is bad with directions could find the shop without getting lost. When I arrived at the shop, the first thing that caught my eye was the ice cream with alcohol in it, which apparently has a different flavor every day. It cost around 500 yen, but since it was a hot day, I decided to eat it there in the seating area. And let me tell you, it was incredibly delicious... It was filled with lots of Kyoho grapes-like fruits on top, with a rich milky ice cream underneath and a hint of noble rot wine inside. It was so delicious that it felt like a steal for 500 yen. For takeout, I bought a set of chocolate cake and 8 madeleines. I enjoyed them at home later, and every item had a perfect balance of flavors and wonderful aroma. I was really glad I went to buy them. I'm already thinking about making another trip there for more goodies. (I forgot to take a picture of the chocolate one)

I had plans to go to Yokohama, so before that, I had lunch and around 2:30 pm on Saturday, I wanted to eat some sweets, so I searched for nearby shops and visited here. There were only a few cakes left. This time, I ordered a peach tart and a chocolate raspberry. Both were not too sweet and delicious. Since their baked goods are famous, I recommend the tart! Thank you for the meal.

About a 10-minute walk from Todoroki University Station, in a quiet residential area, there is a sophisticated and stylish sweets shop that looks like a page taken from a foreign magazine. The elegant entrance, adorned with a beautiful wreath, exudes an air of sophistication that seems like it would attract celebrity housewives for shopping. Inside, there is a showcase displaying beautiful cakes, with a table in the middle lined with baked goods. I bought a cake called "Cake aux Fruits," which I love for its boozy flavor and the addition of not only raisins but also prunes, which are essential for this type of cake. The colorful jelly and subtle scent of lemon peel, along with the pistachio accents, were delightful. Each shop has its own unique version of "Cake aux Fruits," and the one from this shop was delicious. I purchased several sweets during my visit to the top 100 sweets shops of 2023, and it was fun to compare and taste them. The staff at the shop provided elegant and cheerful service, making the high-class shopping experience enjoyable. Although I couldn't buy any cakes on that hot summer day because they would melt, I look forward to returning in the fall when it's more suitable for takeout. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to try buying some.

I visited the restaurant after checking the rankings on Tabelog. I arrived around 5 pm during the Obon holiday, but most of the items were already sold out, so I couldn't buy the Carne that I wanted. Instead, I bought a freshly baked Madeleine with today's expiration date. The Madeleine was priced at 250 yen, and the Raspberry Madeleine was 270 yen. Both were delicious, but the Madeleine had a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior, and the combination of sweet and sour Raspberry Madeleine was excellent and very tasty.

Order Menu Mont Blanc with Japanese chestnut I was drawn to the Mont Blanc, which is not in season at all despite the popularity of fruit cakes. It was a bit disappointing that there were no whole chestnuts inside, but the thinly squeezed chestnut cream melted in the mouth and was very delicious. I visited for the limited edition peach soft serve ice cream. It was perfect for a hot day, with a refreshing mint flavor that added to the overall freshness. At the bottom, there was raspberry confiture and custard cream, making it a delicious soft serve similar to a parfait. In addition, I purchased cakes and baked goods, all of which were delicious, but my favorites are the macarons and canelés here.

The deliciousness of these desserts is beyond words. The eclair cafe banane, tarte au citron yuzu, and cheesecake a la miltee, all priced at 600 yen excluding tax, offer exceptional value. I am not usually one to seek out cost-effective options, but this bakery is truly top-notch in terms of value for money. I visited around 1 pm and there were no other customers in the store. My favorite was the tarte au citron yuzu, with its perfect balance of yuzu acidity. It's possible that only this shop can achieve such a unique flavor. Every dessert I tried was delicious, but words can't do them justice. Seeing is believing, so I recommend trying them for yourself.

I want to buy everything. They look delicious from their appearance and description. And they taste delicious when you eat them. You can also feel the volume. I tried the cheesecake and peach flavors, and they were both delicious. Not too sweet, elegant, and rich. I want to try other flavors like chocolate. I will definitely go back. I used to walk to Todaimae Station once a month, but I didn't know about this shop. It's no wonder it has high ratings on Tabelog!

When I go to the mountains, I always bring canelés as a snack with whiskey, but recently, the canelés from Obon Buitan often sell out early in the morning, so I bring the canelés and financiers from this place instead. The canelés here have a crispy exterior and a soft interior, which pairs well with whiskey. But my favorite is the financiers, which have a deliciously nutty flavor. They are my favorite financiers. They also have seasonal soft-serve ice cream available in the store, so I decided to try it. The fresh peaches on top were slightly firm, and the soft-serve ice cream had a cherry liqueur flavor. Towards the bottom, there was raspberry sauce and diced peaches compote, which added a nice touch. The raspberry flavor was quite strong, overpowering the peach. Maybe making a homemade parfait with sponge cake soaked in cherry liqueur could be a good idea.

First visit. A small cake shop nestled in a residential street. It's a popular place, with a wide range of customers coming in and out. Intrigued by the poster saying "This summer is all about éclairs", I got two éclairs and a fruit bavarois-like dessert (can't remember the name) to go. I had the fruit bavarois-like dessert. It may have looked small, but it was rich in flavor with a pleasant sweet and sour taste from the fruits inside! Next time, I want to try the popular Fraisier.

Today, I only had baked sweets. Financier... The ones here are well baked with a pretty dark color. The sweetness is just right and delicious. Madeleines with rum raisin and chestnut are both glazed, which is a special feature. They have a crispy outside and a moist inside, making them deeply flavorful. It's reassuring when classic baked goods are delicious.

Mom's soft serve ice cream costs 756 yen. *Be careful, it melts very quickly! The peach flavor is not too sweet, but it goes well with the soft serve ice cream. It's been a while since my last visit. French music is playing on the radio, giving me a taste of Paris. The showcase is filled with classic and simple cakes. This is a shop where you can enjoy delicious traditional French pastries. The Fraisier is like the French version of a shortcake. The strawberry aroma, the light Genoise sponge, and the rich cream make it perfect! The Eclair Pistache has a rich pistachio cream that is pleasantly sweet, with a classic Parisian flavor. The Chausson Pomme is well-baked and crispy, with a nice natural apple taste. The Financier is also well-baked, with a refreshing sweetness and a lovely almond aroma. The Cake au Citron and Cake aux Fruits are basic baked goods, but they are still delicious.

This year's French Patisserie Week didn't really excite me much. Oh well, I remembered, so I went to Adict O Chocolat, the first shop. - Eclair Café Banane 600 yen The caramelized banana is delicious! It goes well with coffee. But the eclair pastry was hard, making it a bit difficult to eat. - Eclair Pistache 580 yen The icing on top is too sweet, overshadowing the pistachio flavor. - Tarte Citron Yuzu 600 yen Lemon with added yuzu! You have to buy it! Made with lemons and yuzu from Wakayama. The acidity was irresistible, but I prefer the tart crust to be a bit firmer. - Saint-Honore Pistache 680 yen The pistachio chantilly cream and pastry cream felt light. Compared to Ryouko's pistachio and cherry tart, this one felt lacking. Maybe they should have chosen a different flavor for the Saint-Honore. The base was a coconut cookie. - Financier 250 yen This one was delicious! It was a room temperature item with a strong egg flavor. - Biscuit Tin Boite Les Chats 2,100 yen Looking at the previous post, oh, it was 1,800 yen. I was thinking of buying some baked goods, but when I passed by, I found out they were selling soft serve ice cream. I didn't realize they offered that as well. Unfortunately, you can't eat inside the store, so I decided to buy it and enjoy it while walking around. It was priced at 756 yen, which is quite expensive for soft serve ice cream, but it had a strong cherry liqueur flavor and was very delicious. Additionally, it was more like a parfait with raspberries and peaches on top. There were also cream and other flavors inside, so you could enjoy a variety of tastes. I was very satisfied with it.

Looking back at my food log posts, I realized it's been over 2 years since my last visit. Although I arrived close to closing time, my favorite dish was still available. The dish was a "Paris-Brest Noisette Orange" priced around 650 yen. Paris-Brest is typically shaped like a wheel, named after a car race, but here it was straight. This compact shape was achieved by using hazelnuts (noisette) and orange confit. While hazelnuts and oranges may not seem like a perfect match, the chocolate cream filling inside brought everything together seamlessly. Genius!

The shop was very kind to let me in 6 minutes before their 11:00 opening time. I was second in line, with most people buying cat-shaped cakes. The shop had cute cat-themed decorations, perfect for cat lovers like me! I bought financiers, Mont Blanc, and the recommended Fraisier (strawberry cake) with soft serve ice cream. The ice cream had strawberry sauce and fruit chunks inside, which paired well with the milk soft serve. It felt like a parfait with a madeleine inside! The Fraisier was full of strawberry flavor, perfect for strawberry lovers. The Mont Blanc had a rich chestnut flavor, and the financiers were buttery and crispy. The restaurant is usually crowded, but I was able to enter when there were no customers due to heavy rain. I didn't know what the specialty of this place was, so I chose the last 1-2 Mont Blancs and Fondant Chocolates. I also tried the Financier that caught my eye. The Mont Blanc had a rich flavor yet a light texture. The Fondant Chocolate felt like eating a big piece of raw chocolate.
