During a regular lunchtime, the first place I went to was closed because the owner seemed to have had a tough day. So, I ended up at Niseko Beer, which has a great view and a nice atmosphere with music playing from the jukebox. I ordered the Meat Bowl for ¥680, which was definitely worth the price. It was a generous serving of pork belly and was incredibly delicious. The bowl also came with a half-cooked egg, pickles, and a miso soup. I found my favorite spot by the window.

The restaurant offers a great view from the window seats. They are open for lunch as well as dinner, with a limited menu that includes beer curry, meat bowl, yakitori bowl, and pizza. All the dishes are affordable and delicious, with a nice presentation. I look forward to going back more often.

In May 2015, I visited a brewery in Niseko Town which is within walking distance from the station. It is located in a residential area, making it a bit difficult to find. I was pleased to discover that they offer beer tasting sets with a choice of 3 or 5 beers from over 10 options. Here are my thoughts on the beers I ordered:
- Pilsner: Light yellow color resembling yuzu lemon juice. Citrusy aroma with a slight thickness. It's smooth but lacks a distinctive flavor.
- Pale Ale: Deep orange color with a peach-like scent. Slightly thick with a noticeable bitterness when well mixed.
- IPA: Indian Pale Ale with the color of deep snow beer. Fruity aroma with a slightly unique taste. Low bitterness.
- Belgian Ale: Sunflower grapefruit juice-like color with a grilled meat scent. Slightly thick with a hint of acidity.
- Porter: Ezo black beer. Minimal aroma with a significant aftertaste following the beer's acidity and bitterness.
I also sampled some dishes:
- Burdock tempura: Crispy and served with sesame dressing.
- Ginger tofu: Silken tofu with ginger sauce, light and easy to eat.
- Beer frankfurter sausage: Beautiful color with barbecue sauce, flavorful but not juicy.
Despite its secluded location, I recommend beer enthusiasts to visit this brewery near Niseko Station. The picturesque views and enjoyable experience are worth the visit.

In July 2015, I visited Niseko Brewing, a brewery restaurant in Niseko Town that produces craft beer under the brand "Niseko Beer". The brewery restaurant is located in the former Niseko Town Chamber of Commerce building, with the first floor housing the brewing facilities and the second floor serving as the restaurant. Currently, they offer five types of beer: "Yamabuki" Pilsner, "Zansho" and "Shinsetsu" Pale Ales, "Ezo" Porter, and "Rose Beer" fruit beer. I tried the "Yamabuki" and "Shinsetsu" beers, with the former being a light golden Pilsner with a mild bitterness and the latter a Pale Ale with a lighter taste than expected. The beers have an alcohol content of around 5% and are generally light in flavor due to a malt usage of around 50%. The food menu is diverse, with both traditional dishes like sausages and unique options like "Chicken Gizzards Confu" and a platter of two types of sausages. The location of the restaurant is great, offering a view of the Niseko mountain range from the windows. However, the service and information provided by the restaurant were lacking, with issues in staff availability and inconsistent opening hours. Overall, while the beer and food were decent, the operational aspects of the restaurant could be improved.

One of the things that can only be found in Niseko is Niseko Beer!! I don't usually drink beer, but I'll have some on occasions like this!! There were various types available, but I only bought three bottles. It was heavy to carry though. The one with an apple drawing on it made me think it would have an apple flavor, but I couldn't really taste it. Beer enthusiasts might understand, but personally, I think it would be clearer if they reduced the number of apples on the label. The taste was just a normal easy-to-drink beer. Next, I haven't tried it yet, but there's the Yama-buki Pilsner. It seems to be a classic Niseko Beer. The Ezo was actually a low-malt beer. However, it has a high alcohol content of 6%. It is made with Hokkaido bonito flakes, kelp, and shiitake mushrooms, in a black beer style. I actually bought it at a convenience store. Next time, I'm aiming for the Rose Beer!!

I ordered craft beers from Niseko, a ski resort area that I don't often have the opportunity to visit. There were three types: Yamabuki (Pilsner), Zansho (Pale Ale), and Ezo (Porter), each with unique names. Yamabuki is refreshing and easy to drink, making it suitable for craft beer beginners. Zansho, a Pale Ale, offers a hoppy aroma that is enjoyable. As for Ezo, it is a rare Porter made with Hokkaido-produced bonito flakes, kelp, and shiitake mushrooms. All of them were easy to drink, but my favorite was probably the Pale Ale.
