After visiting the Blue Pond in Biei-cho, Hokkaido, we also stopped by another tourist spot in Biei-cho, Ken and Mary's Tree. We decided to have a meal at the cafe next to Ken and Mary's Tree. You can enjoy lunch on the terrace while overlooking the beautiful rural landscape. I ordered the Vegetable-packed Soup Curry (1500 yen). It was featured on the TV show "Let's Travel" with Laura, Degawa, and Mimura. Let's dig in. The curry is both creamy and spicy, with a hint of sweetness and a kick of spiciness. The rich curry flavor mixes with the light soup. The soup contains sausage, broccoli, two types of bell peppers, potatoes, pumpkin, and a half-boiled egg. The ingredients are all large. It also comes with Biei milk. It's sweet, rich, and delicious. It's completely different from the milk I had at the business hotel this morning. I might be drinking tastier milk than Ata-kun today. This is happiness. This is Hokkaido. Enjoying a delicious curry and milk while admiring the breathtaking scenery, what a blissful time awaited us. And for dessert, I had lavender and vanilla soft-serve ice cream. Ahh ♡ Now, should we head back to Sapporo? Thank you for the meal. ( ^ω^ )

In 1972, I wanted to stay at the pension near the famous "Ken and Mary's Tree" where the Skyline commercial was filmed to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, it was fully booked due to a school trip. However, I was able to enjoy a cafe on the deck next to the pension. I ordered an iced coffee and shaved ice to cool down from the strong sun. The deck had a great view of the "Ken and Mary's Tree" and I spent a long time enjoying the scenery. The wide lawn and deck provided a perfect spot for taking photos. I also noticed three nostalgic Skyline cars on display on my way out.

- A perfect place to take a break during the Biei Hill tour!
- Located on the Patchwork Road.
- Terrace with a great view of the poplar tree featured in the 1972 Nissan Skyline commercial "Ken and Merry."
- Free parking for 50 cars near the Ken and Merry tree.
- Terrace seating with a great view of the Ken and Merry tree.
- Photo spot with Ken and Merry!
- Private garden with soft grass where children can play barefoot freely.
- Coffee was delicious.
- They also have shaved ice and soft serve ice cream!
- Visited in July 2015 and had a great experience.
- Thanks to Maron Mama's review, I decided to visit this place and I'm glad I did!
- The Biei town was bustling in late July. There was a bit of a line to take pictures with the Ken and Merry tree, but from the terrace seats at this cafe, you can enjoy a perfect view of the Biei hills while sipping on something cold.
- The entrance was a bit barricaded, but don't be discouraged, just go through (laughs).
- There was a sign asking for one order per person, which is understandable when entering a cafe. It made me realize the difficulty of running a cafe with different customers.
- It felt like the entrance of a theme park with a small window to place orders. Once you order, the gate opens to the private garden.
- Ordered a set of rare cheesecake with warm coffee, an iced cafe latte, and orange juice.
- The rare cheesecake was delicious, and the coffee was freshly brewed and the beans were also very tasty!
- While enjoying the view of the Ken and Merry tree, I noticed that on the opposite side of the terrace, children were engrossed in the swing. The view from here is also great!
- There was a swing and my son was very active, running around barefoot on the soft grass. After a long day of driving, the kids were having a great time playing on the soft grass.
- For my 4-year-old daughter, this was the most fun place in Furano & Biei! She had a blast playing here.
- They played for a long time and had a great time. Thank you so much!

Famous tourist spot that was once a location for old commercials. I didn't know the original reference, but I visited the shop thinking of Biei! Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great that day, with light rain falling, but the scenery of Biei was still beautiful. I got a soft serve ice cream to go.
