On Sunday, after having lunch at another restaurant in Abashiri, I visited a cafe called apt4 located at the western end of the shopping street. The exterior looks simple, but once you step inside, you'll find a lovely space as shown in the photo. It was a hot day, so I ordered an iced coffee and a rare cheesecake. The coffee was refreshing and easy to drink, and the rare cheesecake with blueberry sauce was delicious and refreshing. It was a very calming space, and I would love to visit again if I have the chance to go back to Abashiri.

I came across my ideal cafe in the northern land ☕️ Delicup is a lovely cafe with beautiful dishes and a space where you can enjoy carefully crafted coffee in peace. It feels like the cafe in Animal Crossing! ✅
What I ordered: Cake set (choice of cake + coffee or tea) for 700 yen
- Atmosphere: When you open the ordinary white door, there is another door inside. Standing in front of that door, you can smell the rich aroma of coffee, which is very inviting. The interior of the cafe is beautiful, with each seat offering a different kind of comfort – from window seats to sofa seats to seats lined up together.
- Menu: They have a wide variety of coffee options! I felt like trying them all ☕️ Their light meal menu is also reasonably priced. The popular chocolate cake and cheesecake are each 300 yen. You can also get a set with coffee or tea for 700 yen. They also have toast and sandwiches.
- Food experience: I chose the chocolate cake and coffee. The coffee was carefully crafted, with a mild bitterness and easy to drink. The cake was a sweet chocolate cake with simple cream, and it paired perfectly with the coffee. It was so delicious. I enjoyed a nice time writing my travel diary while alternating between the cake and coffee. It was such a good time that I ended up ordering another slice of cheesecake. That was delicious too, but personally, I preferred the chocolate cake.
I had a wonderful time enjoying a slow and delightful time. If you ever go to Abashiri, be sure to check it out! 🌟

I visited apt4 for the first time after they moved. I had coffee after my meal. I can drink coffee at home, but since I was here, I decided to try it. I ordered Brazil Santos No.2 with a cake set that included chocolate cake and a blend of drip coffee. The interior of the shop has a retro feel with a lot of Showa-era items. The red sugar pot fits well with the atmosphere. The coffee made with a siphon was piping hot. The blend was easy to drink, not too bitter or acidic, just as it is listed at the top of the menu. The Santos had a strong bitterness to it, which I liked. It paired well with the chocolate cake that tasted like ganache. A fantastic combination. While I was enjoying my coffee, I noticed two people buying beans. I would like to come back to buy some once my stock at home runs out.

It's my regular coffee shop where I usually just buy beans. However, it suddenly disappeared due to a fire, and I was worried about what to do. But then I found out that they relocated to an electronics store on my commute route. I went to check it out, but they had already closed after 6 pm. It seems they only sell beans now. It's much larger now compared to before. I couldn't remember what it was like before. They only sell beans for now due to permission issues, but they plan to operate as a cafe from March or April. The seating area is brighter and more spacious now. I bought two types of deep, delicious beans. The shop has been repaired and everything is back to normal. I am looking forward to being able to drink coffee inside the shop soon.
