I was able to enjoy a relaxing meal at a table by myself. The local dishes were delicious as expected. Although I passed on it since I was dining alone, the hairy crab for around 5,000 yen looked very tempting. I prioritized filling my stomach so I didn't have any sake, but they had Hokkaido sake and gin, and the local businessmen seemed to be enjoying themselves.

On the last night in Hokkaido, my partner and I had a family dinner with both our families. We decided to visit Kushiro for dinner, as we were looking for an izakaya where we could eat anything we wanted. This restaurant is located near Sapporo Station North Exit and has private rooms, making it perfect for family gatherings. Despite being an izakaya, it is quiet, which we liked. Since everyone in the family wanted to eat different things, being able to order a variety of dishes was great. My son wanted fried foods and meat dishes, while the older family members preferred light dishes like fish or small portions of various items. This restaurant was able to cater to everyone's needs. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had zangi (fried chicken), tako zangi (fried octopus), ramen salad, and hokke (dried Atka mackerel), among other Hokkaido specialties. The Hokkaido-specific menu items are sure to please tourists as well. Dining with a large group allowed us to try a variety of dishes and we were all very satisfied. It was delicious.

It's 18:30 and I'm tired, so I decided to search for a nearby izakaya near the hotel for dinner. I recognized the exterior from the photos. This isn't it next to the hotel? I called to make a reservation and asked, "Is it close to Hotel Route Inn?" Yes, it's in the next building. Perfect! I can crawl back if I have to. I didn't know, but the underground interior is all private rooms with a gorgeous design. Maybe people like this kind of style, like at Kani Honke? It feels like crossing a bridge to enter the private room. Finally, I found Sapporo Classic draft beer! So good! So good! It's full-bodied with a crisp finish, so delicious! And they have Red Star bottled beer! I've always wanted to try Red Star! I'm so impressed! The food was captioned as far as I can remember. Take a look. With a Hokkaido discount, it was 2,000 yen per person, and I could use a coupon. Notably, the hokke was outstanding! It's on a whole other level compared to buying it at the supermarket. A shop located right near Sapporo Station. We used it for a year-end party this time. The interior is divided by fences and has a modern feel. We had a course this time, and the sashimi was fresh and all delicious, so we were satisfied. It is very easy to use for groups, and the prices are cheap, so I recommend it.

It was a company dinner at a private room with a set course menu. It was very calm and relaxing, allowing us to enjoy our meal. The seafood course was of high quality, and I was satisfied with it. However, during the banquet, the focus tends to shift to chatting and drinking, neglecting the food (I ate, but don't remember much, haha). But this time, I made sure to take photos! It can be tough that banquets often end up at places like this. Nevertheless, thank you for the meal!

We used it for a business dinner with our clients and toasted with beer. We were surprised by the unexpected 7 kinds of sashimi platter, which was served as one portion but turned out to be four portions for everyone. In addition, we enjoyed boiled asparagus, shishamo, beef tongue, zangi, octopus tempura, large oysters from eastern Hokkaido, fried squid, and more. We had a delicious and satisfying meal. Since it was not all-you-can-drink, we kept our drink orders light, around 5 drinks each. It was our first visit in a while, but this restaurant near the station is sure to be popular among locals and visitors alike.

I have been to this restaurant so many times during the day that I have lost count. It is my favorite because it is the most delicious among the nearby restaurants. The quality is top-notch even for lunch. Today's meal was delicious as always, but when I went after a long time, I noticed that the lunch menu had changed. The bento lunch box that I love is no longer available. But I still love this place. Thank you for the meal.

A night with a sense of closure. When it comes to Kushiro, it's all about the robatayaki grill. The taste of charcoal grilling is indescribable! It made me feel my hometown after a long time. We didn't order too many dishes, but I felt satisfied. The tenderness of the thickly sliced beef tongue. The sweetness and lack of stringiness of the asparagus. The size and mild taste of the surf smelt. Everything is delicious. The seating arrangement surrounding the entrance gives off a stylish vibe. Maybe it's the location or the current situation, but there weren't many customers, so it was calming. The all-you-can-drink option is also affordable. In these times, it's difficult to gather in large groups for farewell parties, I understand that. But actually, I felt happy to spend time quietly with only the important people to me.

Ebi-Ten Soba (hot), 660 yen. The tempura includes 2 shrimp and maitake mushrooms. The soba noodles are delicious, as expected from a soba restaurant, and the tempura is also tasty and reasonably priced. The soba broth has a mild flavor, making it easy to eat. They are taking measures against COVID-19, such as hand sanitizing and temperature checks. The restaurant is cool with air conditioning, and you can relax as you take off your shoes before entering.

This is around Sapporo Station. Four of us had a dinner here. I managed to sneak a photo, so I'll review it. The set for the day was a course with all-you-can-drink included for 7,000 yen. It's like a semi-private room setting and was fully booked. It's difficult to find a place around Sapporo Station where you can entertain casually, the options are limited. If you lower the rank, it just becomes a regular izakaya. I guess it's a slightly better rating than a normal izakaya? It's a chain store of Hideyagaya, Sora, and Aburiya. The course includes small dishes, assorted sashimi, grilled lamb chops, ceramic plate steamed dish, oysters, fried kasube, sushi, and dessert. Overall, it's a bit above average, but not outstanding. The grilled lamb chops still had a hint of lamb smell, which was delicious. Nowadays, many lamb dishes don't taste like lamb at all, so it was nice to have that lingering lamb aroma. The oysters were big and juicy. I gulped them down in one go. I got so caught up in conversation, ate a lot but didn't drink enough! Well, time to go somewhere else alone! Thanks for the meal!

A 1 night 2 day horse racing tour in Hokkaido. A special tour where you can drink beer with your friends from morning till night while carefully selecting a racehorse as a part owner. The tour ends with a party near Sapporo Station. A local made reservations for us to meet again. Everyone seems to get along well, haha. The all-you-can-drink option is very cheap, with a requirement to order at least two items per person, but it's less than a thousand yen. The snacks are a good match for drinks and have a Hokkaido izakaya feel. I've never seen or tasted lamb prosciutto before. I've never heard of sardine lübe either. It might be an arrangement of salmon, but even when frozen, it has a strong aroma and tastes delicious. The ramen salad is so Hokkaido. I secretly ordered two because I really wanted to try it. It's full of scallops and shrimp seafood ingredients. The locals also say this restaurant is delicious. It's convenient being close to the station. Overall, it's a user-friendly izakaya.

On a Tuesday evening in August 8, 2017, I visited a restaurant with an acquaintance from out of town. It was located in the basement of a building near the north exit of Sapporo Station. They had a variety of local Hokkaido products. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, with semi-private seating. We ordered a sashimi platter with 7 different types of fish, including sea urchin, button shrimp, salmon, scallops, horsehair crab, and tuna. The fish was fresh and delicious. We also tried the grilled hokke, which was large and flavorful. They had a good selection of local sake as well. For our final dish, we had crab rice, which was filling and satisfying. The location was great and surprisingly not crowded, making it a hidden gem.

I felt like eating fish and visited a casual restaurant that serves dried fish. Today's options were mackerel and salmon. It's a recommended place where you can enjoy a casual izakaya lunch.

Currently running a campaign where you can have unlimited refills of zangi for only 500 yen! It's really cheap! The default serving is 8 pieces so I don't think many people will go for refills... I can't eat that much myself but it's a great restaurant! (*´ω｀*)

Today's daily special at the restaurant is a set meal of soba noodles and inari sushi, which comes with a hot spring egg for only 660 yen. It's delicious, cheap, and a great deal. The only downside is that smoking is not allowed. Great restaurant! ＼(^_^)／

Seafood bowl for 700 yen. Very cheap. It's delicious with hardly any fishy smell. However, it's strange to have pickled vegetables as a side dish for a seafood bowl.

I used it for a friendly gathering with business clients. The hot pot was full of seafood. We also enjoyed various course dishes. Course meals are convenient for business dinners, right? We had plenty of highballs and white wine with all-you-can-drink. Thank you for the delicious meal.

There were no disappointments, we used it with three people. We enjoyed a relaxing semi-private room, a sashimi assortment, seared red meat, crab salad, and fried triangle pastries. We had a great time chatting and leisurely enjoying the food.

The service and ambiance were good, but the fish was not up to the level expected even though it was not from Hokkaido. I want to believe it was just because it was not the right season.
