I visited this restaurant after seeing the coral grass. It is located near the old Uraharauchi Station, with old train cars and a railway museum. It has a nostalgic atmosphere like a cafe from the good old days, and despite being very reasonably priced, the hamburger set was delicious. The balance between rice and barley was particularly exquisite.

I went to see the coral grass and wanted to take a break, so I wasn't sure if this shop was open, but when I went in, they were open. I ordered a cake set, but it took quite a long time, and they said, "The cake is frozen." Also, they were turning away customers who came in later, saying that the rice would take more than 20 minutes to prepare (lol).

I was in Ubarauchi, which is in Abashiri City, about 15 minutes away from the city center towards Tokoro. There is a Railway Museum where you can overlook Lake Notor. It is the former Ubarauchi Station of the now-defunct Yubetsu Line. I wonder how long it has been since the Yubetsu Line disappeared. Now it has been turned into a cycling road, where bicycles run where trains used to. It seems to be a branch of the Yumou Line. I recently found out that there is a cafe here. Even though I knew, I was doubtful if it was still in operation. The cafe is on the third floor, but the observation deck was closed, so I went down to the store. The owner was lying on the sofa when I entered, but he got up when I arrived. The lady behind the counter greeted me and I ordered the "Egg Fried Rice" for 500 yen. The owner brought me the menu and water, and I ordered the "Egg Fried Rice" from him, but he didn't say anything. The lady quietly replied, "Okay." I remember that fried rice comes in ketchup flavor and garlic soy sauce flavor, but I wasn't asked anything. I hope it doesn't come out with ketchup. The TV is broken and hard to watch. The owner is the one making the food. Is everything okay? What about the lady? Is she just responsible for calling out orders? There are 4 counter seats and 4 table seats. The owner's bed seems to be the sofa seat. After about 10 minutes, the "Egg Fried Rice" arrived. I tried the fried rice first. It is too salty with soy sauce. There are chopped raw vegetables on top of the fried rice, making it very difficult to eat. The fried rice is mushy and the vegetables are all over. This fried rice is troublesome. If customers don't come, he will just lie down. So, it seems like he has no motivation to improve. It's none of my business, but let's try to make better fried rice. Fried rice should be easy to eat. It can be eaten with just a spoon. It's interesting that there is a fried egg on top, but if the fried rice itself is not delicious, it just seems like a shortcut. So, please do your best to improve.

On the way from Teshio to Abashiri, I decided to take a break and found this place. There were plenty of parking spots, but I wanted to rest in a warm place. Located in Uraharauchi, the largest settlement between Teshio and Abashiri, this place has a museum dedicated to the old Yubetsu Line, with static displays of a steam locomotive and passenger cars. The interior of the shop has a South American vibe, with the name "El Condor" adding to the atmosphere. The decoration is elaborate but not overwhelming, creating a calm atmosphere. I ordered a cake set (550 yen) and chose the Mocha Cake. It might have been a bit too cold, but the sweetness was comforting after a long drive. The coffee was just the right strength. As I was leaving, I passed by locals who seemed to be returning from a special occasion, showing that this place is important to the community.

If you head towards Abashiri from Abashiri, you will see a steam locomotive on your right hand side. The place where the steam locomotive is located is the former Uoharauchi Station, which now houses a museum and El Condor restaurant. It is located along the Okhotsk Cycling Road, which was created using the abandoned railway. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is inspired by South America, with ethnic costumes, musical instruments, photos, and various ethnic goods on display. The restaurant is not located in a popular area, so it is not crowded. There are a few tables available, but it doesn't get too busy at once. The view from the large windows is a bit lonely. The overall atmosphere is quite lonely due to the low population in the area. The menu is limited and each dish is set in small quantities, with some items limited to only 5 servings per day. The prices are very affordable, with some dishes costing only one coin. The food is delicious and filling. Despite not being far from Abashiri, the restaurant is not well-known, so it's a good place to relax without worrying about running into acquaintances.
