Samgyeopsal kimbap (photos 1 and 2), bulgogi kimbap, half and half with dak gangjeong (sweet and spicy chicken) and yangnyeom chicken (photos 2), x2 cheese fries (photo 2). It was cheap and delicious (´﹃`) I'm satisfied!

I ordered a samgyeopsal set for two people with thick pork belly and pork loin. Although the meat was thick, it felt a bit on the smaller side. The vegetables were not very considerate since there was only one portion to share between two people. The set included lettuce, napa cabbage kimchi, and chive kimchi. We also ordered sautéed pork with fat, and separately, a soft tofu stew (sundubu jjigae), kimchi fried rice, a mixed vegetable side dish (namul), and seafood pancakes (haemul pajeon). The mixed vegetable side dish was lightly seasoned with salt and sesame oil. The fried rice was on the moist side. The soft tofu stew was packed with ingredients and had a strong spiciness, which was delicious. I have high hopes for this place for lunch.

As soon as you enter, there's a counter, and the table seating at the back is cool. The door was open, making it easy to enter, so I decided to have lunch here. The background music is, of course, K-pop, but it's not the latest hits... For lunch, I had the bulgogi bibimbap, bulgogi kimbap, and pork kimchi sundubu (with medium rice included), and I chose the half-and-half option, which was a mix of bulgogi kimbap and pork kimchi sundubu. Unfortunately, the timing was off, and I had to wait quite a while. The kimbap was somewhat small, and there was quite a bit less rice than I expected, but there was a lot of meat! It felt like there was a lot. The meat was soft and a bit crumbly, but this level of portion is good for someone with a smaller appetite. The beef had a mild flavor. The pork in the sundubu was thick and delicious!!!! The soup could have been a bit richer to my taste, but it can easily be mistaken for spicy miso; however, thinking of it as sundubu works just fine. You can add a drink for an extra 100 yen. Since the pork was so good, I guess that's why the samgyeopsal is popular at night? There were two talented ladies who switched between Japanese and Korean, and they looked busy with an additional person joining them. I wonder if there’s also a second floor? The prices are clear with tax included, and there's a note that rice, beef, pork, and vegetables are sourced from Hokkaido. The ice cream sign caught my eye, and I wanted to try it, but I gave up on it due to the long wait. I’ll definitely try it next time. Thank you for the meal!

The opening day for the visit on February 16, 2024, was supposed to be in February, but I still don't know when it will actually open (sweat). Recently, I found out through a YouTuber's post that it was already open! Originally, they were running a gimbap shop in North Maruyama, but now it's a crepe shop, haha. Anyway, the seating is on the second floor, and the place can accommodate over 50 people. First, I ordered a drink: a strong lemon sour for 400 yen. It was really strong (sweat), and I struggled to finish it even after requesting three cups of water, haha. Quite a good deal! Now for the food. First up, three types of namul for 450 yen. The flavor was a bit weak, so of course, I asked for a separate plate to mix it up while eating (^^). I really like eating it this way! Next is the main dish: Hokkaido thick-cut samgyeopsal for one, priced at 3,500 yen. The pork was thick and good, but it felt overpriced for a set meal (^^;). It would be fine for inbound tourists, I guess, haha. Eating the meat made me want some rice, so I ordered a bulgogi bibimbap for 950 yen. Oops! I accidentally broke the yolk and didn’t take a picture (^^;). Anyway, as I mentioned earlier, the bibimbap has a bit of namul, some bulgogi, and a fried egg on it (^^). The rice is a generous portion! The accompanying miso sauce was great; without it, it would have just been a healthy dish! I ended up pretty full (^^). Overall, the cost-performance wasn’t that good (^^;). Not having all-you-can-eat or all-you-can-drink options, plus spending over 5,000 yen on individual items, felt a bit much (^^;).
