I took a flight from Haneda at 6:45 am and arrived at Asahikawa Airport at 8:20 am. The airport wasn't open until 11 am, so I had a light breakfast at this shop. Normally, I don't think soft serve ice cream is high quality, but I found the one here delicious. It's not too creamy and has a refreshing taste, but the milk flavor is rich.

On the way back from my trip to Hokkaido, I flew from Asahikawa Airport to Haneda Airport. It was my first time at Asahikawa Airport. I usually don't eat breakfast, but when I travel, I tend to indulge. This day, I had the small size of Otokoppé organic milk as a substitute for breakfast before my flight. The cute little bottle caught my eye! I usually only drink coffee in the morning, so I opted for a small size to avoid upsetting my stomach. It seemed a bit rich, maybe because it's Otokoppé. It was a bit on the sweet side, but the size was perfect for two people to share. Overall, it was a bit pricey for a mini soft serve, but it was delicious and satisfying. Preferences started to differ. Caramel soft serve @530 yen. Buttermilk chiffon cake @350 yen. The soft serve had more volume than expected. A mini size might have been enough for the child. But the mini size doesn't come with caramel topping. So, the mother also joined in. One bite... Rich milk flavor. The texture and aftertaste were not refreshing, but rich and smooth. No unnecessary sweetness, just the taste of milk. However, the caramel was... intense. Maybe because I don't particularly like caramel flavor, I felt this sweetness was strong. If they are promoting milk, then just the milk flavor without any toppings would be the best. The same might apply to toppings like haskap sauce. Chiffon cake. When I saw it, I couldn't resist. I bought it out of curiosity about a chiffon cake made with buttermilk. I tore off a piece and took a bite. Moist, fluffy. Fine and smooth. When I put it in my mouth, it was chewy. It felt dense because it was packed tightly. Smooth and moist. Personally, I prefer a more fluffy and airy sensation that melts in the mouth, but this one was gentle. A simple sweetness of eggs and flour with a rich flavor. Is this what buttermilk tastes like? I enjoyed it with a coffee from another shop. The frozen pizza also looked delicious.

Before heading back from Asahikawa Airport, we decided to create some memories of Hokkaido by enjoying some soft serve ice cream. We ordered the "Okoppe Milk Soft Serve" (\380) at Milk Stand Esperio. We shared a cup of this rich and delicious soft serve, which had a strong milk flavor. It truly captured the essence of Hokkaido with its rich taste. First, there's a rich milk flavor with a refreshing aftertaste. It's popular for a reason, the taste is satisfying. It's been a few years since I had soft serve ice cream, but I was quite pleased.

The second floor restaurant seems to open only at 11:00, but this place is open early in the morning. I used it while waiting for the bus after arriving at Asahikawa Airport from Haneda Airport. It is located near the international departure gate. They offer Ohtsuku and Okoppe organic bottled milk. Large size for 250 yen and small for 180 yen. This time, I bought the small size and enjoyed it at a nearby table. It has a mellow and rich deliciousness. The egg and milk pudding is firm. It has a delicious balance of egg and milk. The ingredients are organic milk, eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla beans. This pudding is made in Asahikawa. It is also nice that it is relatively low in calories at 156kcal. I recommend the milk.

Finally, soft serve ice cream at the airport♬︎♡ I really wanted the espresso topped soft serve (affogato) but it seems like it's not on the menu now (--;) Also, the croissant that I wanted was already sold out by the evening... What I had: Coffee Jelly Soft Serve (480 yen) The coffee jelly was partially frozen or had some frozen parts, but the milk soft serve was still exceptional! It was incredibly delicious with the coffee jelly, a perfect combination! And the super thin butter cookie? It was too delicious, I was amazed! ꉂ(ˊᗜˋ*) It melted so quickly that I was desperately trying to eat it haha.
