I had a delicious lunch and felt like having dessert, so I stopped by Tsubaki Sandou, a place I had been curious about for a while. When I entered the shop, I found out that their pancake sandwich originated in Hokkaido. It's something that many people might think of, but it didn't exist until now. Inside the shop, there were samples of the sandwiches lined up in the front window. They mostly had fruits on top. Personally, I prefer the plain ones without any toppings. At first, I thought about ordering the "omakase" (chef's choice), but since you can't request specific flavors with that, I ended up ordering two plain, one banana, and one strawberry. I thought it might have been nice to eat them in the shop, but this time I decided to enjoy them at home. I quickly went back home and tried the strawberry and plain ones. The pancake dough was moist and slightly firm like a pancake should be, with a subtle sweetness that complemented the sweetness of the whipped cream. They recommended drizzling honey on top, but I found that the honey's sweetness was too much and overpowered the sweetness of the dough and cream, so I preferred it as it was. This was really good. I will definitely stop by again when I'm in Maruyama.

Tsubaki from Paul Town is in Sapporo for a few days and couldn't buy fresh items. She saw Taiwanese Castella earlier and wanted to buy it, but couldn't as she still had a few days left before going back. While walking in Paul Town, someone mentioned a smaller version of the Castella. She decided to buy it - plain and chestnut flavors. The next morning, she found out that one piece was already eaten. Tsubaki's friend ate the remaining piece. Tsubaki tried a bite and found the chestnut paste mixed in the soft and slightly moist texture of the cake not to her liking. The sweetness was decent, but she prefers just whipped cream. Overall, it was delicious, although nothing extraordinary.

A pancake specialty shop near Maruyama Park in Sapporo. They use Hokkaido-grown wheat, eggs, and other ingredients with no additives, showing their commitment to quality. The pancakes are filled with fresh cream and various seasonal fruits. I tried the plain and fruit flavors this time. The batter is extremely soft. The fruit flavors are not overpowering, with a refreshing aftertaste. The prices are a bit high, but the pancakes are carefully made.

On a certain holiday, I visited a fruit sandwich shop located in Odori West 23rd in Maruyama Park area, which I had bookmarked while passing by. Inside the shop, you order at a glass showcase after entering through the front. On this day, I chose a small fruit sandwich from the menu since the large cakes require reservations. The "Grape (370 yen)" had a large grape on top with a slice of bread and whipped cream underneath. The "Ruby Grapefruit (370 yen)" had a juicy red grapefruit with a gentle acidity, paired with bread and whipped cream. The "Plain (320 yen)" had a moist and fluffy texture similar to high-quality pancakes, with a good balance of sweetness in the cream. I couldn't help but wonder if buying three would be a bit expensive for home consumption. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by 【Tsubaki Sand】 on my way back from work in Sapporo. There is no parking lot, so you have to use a nearby coin parking. Unlike other Tsubaki Sand shops, this one specializes only in fruit sandwiches. I bought the "Strawberry (380 yen)" and "Plain (320 yen)" ones. They were delicious with fluffy bread, fresh cream, and tasty strawberries. I regret not buying the set of four.

I visited a food event at Yokohama Takashimaya over the weekend, where a Sapporo-based fruit sandwich specialty store was participating. According to the posters and website, the highlights of this event were "Tsubaki Sand" and GARAKU's soup curry. Usually, such popular stalls tend to have long lines or sell out quickly at department store events, but when I went around noon, I was able to buy without waiting in line. The sweets they were selling included "Tsubaki Sand," "Tsubaki Cake," and "Hokkaido Sand" (frozen). I decided to try the fruit sandwich "Tsubaki Sand" which had strawberries, kiwi, grapefruit, and pineapple, each priced at 1598 yen. I only had the kiwi one, but the pancake made with Hokkaido wheat, eggs, cane sugar, and salt was surprisingly finely textured. The fresh cream was also delicious. I later found out that "Tsubaki Sand" can also be taken out at "Tsubaki Salon" in Ginza and Shibuya. While I appreciate the recommendation, I feel like it wasn't necessary to highlight something that can be purchased in Tokyo.

I parked my car at the nearby Maruyama Kurasu and walked there with a stroller. It was a short and pleasant walk, and I arrived at the restaurant. However, there was a step at the entrance, so it may not be suitable for entering with a stroller. I purchased 4 items and tried them. The appearance is overwhelmingly cute. Even though it's just pancakes with cream and fruit on top, it looks adorable. Just looking at it makes you feel happy. The pancakes have a firm texture and are not too sweet, very elegant. The accompanying honey was unexpectedly delicious, making me forget about the slightly expensive price. I may not use it much at home, but the paper bag and box are lovely, so I would like to visit again for a special occasion.

I found this Tsubaki cake in a magazine and had someone go buy it for me. It cost 1,750 yen. They arrived around noon and it was the last one left. I prefer desserts with less sweetness, but the strawberry acidity was too strong, so it didn't quite meet my expectations. It wasn't as fluffy as I imagined, maybe I set my expectations too high. I might try a different type next time. My mother said the Mont Blanc she bought was delicious, but she always says that, right?

I was wandering around looking for a ramen shop when I stumbled upon this place, so I decided to buy some pancakes. I had seen this place on food review websites before, so I was curious to try it. The pancakes had no fruit inside, only on top, so you can choose your favorite toppings. I chose the sweet pineapple flavor. Looking back, I wish I had gone with the Mont Blanc flavor (you can guess the taste of fruit toppings). There was also some black honey or maple syrup included. The packaging was simple, which surprised me because the place seemed a bit upscale. The paper bag didn't have handles, but since I was heading straight home, it was fine for this time. It's perfect for personal consumption. If you're looking for a gift, the set with multiple pancakes or the whole cake would be more suitable. These pancakes are in the same price range as convenience store sweets but taste much better. (*´`) The quality is impressive for a takeaway item. I had also tried pancakes at their Tsubaki Salon before, and they were delicious, but pancakes can be quite heavy and expensive, so it's great to have a smaller option for when you just want a little treat. The freshly made pancakes at the salon have a special charm, but in terms of taste, these pancakes are almost as good. They are light and fluffy. The fluffy texture might not be as pronounced as when they are freshly made, but they are still soft and slightly chewy, making them perfect for takeaway. While the freshly made pancakes have a certain cuteness and satisfaction factor, these pancakes are more than satisfying in terms of taste. I didn't have high expectations based on appearance, but they were surprisingly delicious. When I feel like having pancakes once in a while, I'll definitely consider coming back to this place. Thank you for the meal!

Honey should have been used more carefully. Maybe it would have been better to have it as a set with coffee... The not-too-sweet whipped cream was just right, with a milky sweetness that I like. But, by the second one, was I reaching my limit for whipped cream? I regret not adding a little at a time instead of using up all the burnt honey at once. Maybe my age is starting to affect how overly sweet and heavy it feels after the third one. The fluffy and moist pancake texture was good, but with the heavy assault of whipped cream and honey, I started to feel a bit full halfway through. It might have been better to eat it as is without adding anything, especially since I had three in a row for lunch. I thought it would be best to eat it while drinking coffee. I chose the pumpkin, chestnut, and banana flavors, which looked plain but were not very filling. Personally, I think Tsubaki-sando's products are best enjoyed as a single dessert, with the rest paired with bread from a nearby bakery. The fancy paper bag adds a touch of luxury to the slightly expensive purchase, making it stylish and useful for women but unnecessary for men. Overall rating: 3.3 Taste: 3.3 Service: 3.4 Atmosphere: 3.3 Cost performance: 3.1 Drink: N/A Address: 1-14 Odori Nishi 23-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido Tsubaki-sando ☆☆☆ Next episode preview ☆☆☆ I might share the colorful fruit-filled set of four at home for everyone to enjoy together.

2020/11, while lost in Maruyama Park, I stumbled upon "Tsubaki Salon," a takeout-only pancake shop. The dimly lit, stylish interior allows you to choose your pancakes from a showcase. By early afternoon, many items were already sold out due to their popularity as limited-time offerings. There were two options available: - Mont Blanc for 370 yen - Blueberry for 320 yen Although the showcase prices were slightly lower, the receipt showed a higher price (Mont Blanc for 400 yen/Blueberry for 340 yen). It wasn't due to consumption tax or bag fees... maybe it's a Maruyama tax? Hmm, a mystery indeed! The pancakes had a fluffy texture with custard mixed in, and the slightly firm whipped cream was not too sweet. The box seemed perfect for a souvenir. Thank you for the meal!

Welcome. ---------- September 2020 ---------- In the Maruyama Park area, a new shop has opened that seems to be affiliated with the Tsubaki Salon. The stylish interior is small and seems to focus on takeout. Despite its stylish appearance, the staff provide courteous service. I wasn't sure what to order, but I decided on the pancake. It was a quarter of a pancake with whipped cream and fruit on top. The whipped cream was incredibly soft and creamy, and the pancake itself was delicate and delicious. It was pricier than the Tsubaki Salon, but the taste matched the price. It's different from the shop in Yamahana, and I realized that the taste can vary depending on who makes it. This place was good.

I was curious about Tsubosando. I was hesitant to go right after the opening because I thought it would be crowded, but now it seems to have calmed down. I bought it as a companion for a solo drive. I'm currently having a fight with my husband, so I ended up eating two out of frustration. I ordered by looking at the display in the showcase. The interior is cute too! This would make a great gift! ★Strawberry: Sweet and sour strawberry that is refreshing. A whole strawberry is placed on top. Oh, I see. It's just on top and not inside. The fluffy and moist pancake with sweet cream. I should have bought iced coffee as well. The amount of cream may be a bit too much. ★Ruby Grapefruit: Bitter-sweet and tangy grapefruit. I usually don't like the combination of cream and grapefruit, but since it's just on top, it was delicious. I ate both at once, so that might be why it tasted a bit too sweet, but it was still delicious. I didn't use the maple syrup at all! Thank you for the meal!

Tsubaki-san is known for their fluffy thick pancakes! They have cafes in Sapporo Station and Kuwonen. I visited Tsubaki Salon before and enjoyed their pancakes, but this time I tried their sandwich for the first time. When I arrived in the evening, some items like pancakes and pancake sandwiches were already sold out. So, this time I chose the sandwich! I got the strawberry (¥380) and banana (¥340) ones. They also gave me some honey or something similar in a soy sauce-like container. I forgot the exact name, sorry! Now, let's take the fluffy sandwich home! - Strawberry (¥380): First, let me introduce the pancake itself! It still has that fluffy, melty texture, and the thickness is just right. It has a slightly undercooked feel in some parts, which enhances the melty texture. The whipped cream was softer than expected, and eating it like a sandwich was a bit tricky because of how soft and melty it was. - Banana (¥340): The pancakes were similar to the strawberry one. The honey-like topping added a sweet cotton candy-like taste. The sweetness of the whipped cream was not as strong, and the pancakes were on the sweeter side. The bananas on top made it difficult to eat the pancakes and whipped cream together. Overall, the sandwich was delicious, but the pancakes looked tempting too. Thank you for the meal!

When it gets hot, symptoms worsen, it is a designated rare disease by the government. Unfortunately, there is still no medication that suits me. Likes and comments may be delayed, so thank you for your understanding. If reviews and comments stop, please assume I have been hospitalized as before. In that case, I still want to return to reviewing. [May 2020] "Tsubaki Sando" is a trendy cafe located in the central area of the city called "Tsubaki Salon." The main store is very particular about using ingredients from Hokkaido, from the interior of the store to the food. There are branches in the city's "Akarenga Terrace," "Shikotsu Town," and also in Ginza, Tokyo. The "Ginza store" became popular for selling a new type of fruit sandwich called "Tsubaki Sando" exclusively for takeout. As a specialty store for "Tsubaki Sando," they opened a store in Sapporo, the local area, with a reverse import version from Tokyo. It opened on March 20, 2020. I visited for the first time with my usual companion. This store is located in the Enzan area of Chuo Ward in Sapporo, near Max Value Enzan store. Please check the exact location of the store on Tabelog. It was a visit before 4 pm on a weekday. The store is compact. There was one customer in front and one customer behind. Looking inside the showcase, there were about 10 types of "Tsubaki Sando" lined up. It costs around 350 yen per piece. A set of 4 costs 1,296 yen including tax. I planned to buy "Tsubaki Sando," but I was attracted to the delicious-looking "Tsubaki Cake Berry Berry" that caught my eye. I changed my plans and bought that instead. (laughs) ■ Tsubaki Cake Berry Berry Weight: Actual measurement 315g (after deducting the windbag) The base is a thick pancake made only with Hokkaido wheat, eggs, sugar beets, and salt. It is soft and has a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The pancake is stacked two layers. Plenty of whipped cream in the middle and top. Cut strawberries and blueberries on top, double berries. The cream in the middle also has a little double berry in it. Price: 1,890 yen (tax included) "Tsubaki Cake Berry Berry" is a pancake with double berries. The combination of sweetness and sourness is a nice collaboration. The melt-in-your-mouth texture of the dough is indescribable. This time, the baking was subtly sweet. (laughs) "Tsubaki Sando" cuts "Tsubaki Cake" and tops it with seasonal fruits. It is a mini version fruit sandwich of "Tsubaki Cake" with the same base. You can spend a stylish time at home. I had it with black coffee. I have a feeling that it will be "Tsubaki Cake" again next time. (laughs) It was delicious, thank you.

One morning in May, after waking up for no particular reason, I was watching a TV show and they were featuring a segment on a place called "Tsubaki-sando". The hosts were trying the food and their surprised reactions made me really want to try it myself. I happened to have some errands in Sapporo that day, so I finished them and headed straight to the small shop. I bought a banana for takeout and decided to try it on my way back to Tomakomai. The banana cost 320 yen (tax included). I love fruits in general, especially when paired with sweet cream or dough, I prefer a rich flavor over a tangy one. So, when it comes to sweets or parfaits, bananas are my favorite. The dough was unique to this pancake, moist and soft, almost melting in my mouth. The cream was sweet but had a nice balance. The small banana added a nice touch. Overall, it was a delicious treat with a great balance of flavors. The price may be a bit steep and the future potential of this simple dessert is uncertain, but for now, it will definitely have a strong appeal.

I have always wanted to go to Tsubaki Sand since it opened! I was absolutely sure that I would love it. The location is about three blocks north of the food center near Maruyama Park Station. It's next to the one next to BURK, I think. The street in front of the shop is very narrow, so I recommend parking in a coin parking lot! I really wanted to park in front of the shop, but it would be quite obstructive. There was a sign saying to park in the coin parking lot near the shop as well. I parked in a coin parking lot across from the food center to the south. It's 100 yen for 20 minutes, so it's cheap for a little stroll around that area. There is also a high-end bread shop across from Tsubaki Sand, so it's a nice walk around Maruyama. I bought the four-piece "Tsubaki Sand" and a single piece of Seimi Orange. The price for a single piece varies depending on the fruit, ranging from 320 yen to 370 yen. The fruits inside the four-piece Tsubaki Sand are random! Strawberries are always included. So, the four-piece set for 1200 yen is definitely a good deal for souvenirs! The size is not too big, making it easy to eat. And the cream is delicious, and the pancake part is as expected from Tsubaki Salon - fluffy and tasty. My elderly mother and grandmother liked it too, so I think it's a dessert loved by a wide range of age groups. I will definitely go back to buy more. Thank you for the meal!

I heard that it was crowded when it first opened, but when I passed by on my way to the supermarket, there were no other customers, so I decided to visit on a whim. The impact of COVID-19 is serious, isn't it? I tried the Ruby Grapefruit Pancake Sandwich (350 yen) made with Tsubaki Salon's Hokkaido Hot Cake. The pancake sandwich had fruits on top, and I was originally interested in the simple options like strawberry or kiwi, but when I visited, the Ruby Grapefruit seemed to have the largest fruit... (laughs) The fluffy and slightly chewy pancake with a light cream filling was delicious, and I could feel the quality of the ingredients. I knew the pricing was high before visiting, so I didn't have any complaints, but it's still a bit expensive for me to become a regular customer. Oh, by the way, I heard they also started selling Tsubaki Cakes. They are pancake cakes decorated like regular cakes, and although they looked delicious, they were quite expensive.

Tsubaki-san, regardless of whether it's a newly opened shop or not, everyone goes there, women are amazing after all. I'm the male leader of the sweet tooth club. This was my favorite dessert I've ever had. It's called a fruit sandwich, which usually has cream and multiple fruits inside bread, but here, there is an incredibly delicious cream sandwiched between pancakes, with a single fruit placed on top, a new sensation fruit sandwich (abbreviated as "Furusun"). You can order a set of four Furusuns, either a set menu or a chef's choice where you don't know what fruits are included. I'm not sure if the excitement lies in the surprise or in choosing for yourself, but it's delicious in any case. Those who haven't been there yet, I highly recommend it.

After visiting the Nocchimu and Chuo Market, we decided to try a dessert at a popular local salon that recently opened with a new takeout-only format. The shop has a black-themed interior with a colorful showcase of hotcake sandwiches topped with vibrant fruits. We chose the strawberry and banana flavor this time. The pancake dough is chilled after being baked, resulting in a dense yet slightly elastic texture with a subtle sweetness. The generous whipped cream topping has a rich milky flavor without being too sweet, making it easy to eat. The large chunks of fruit add to the visual appeal, although they can make it a bit challenging to eat the sandwich. The accompanying burnt honey sauce adds a refined sweetness that enhances the dessert's overall flavor. Overall, it would make a great gift to bring to someone, and I look forward to trying it with more tangy fruits next time.
