It's like playing the piano! It's been a while since I had nothing scheduled for the evening ^_^ There aren't many days like this, so I decided to have a solo yakiniku night! I've been to Oomasa before, but I didn't have a chance to review it on Tabelog. The place was almost full, with only a few seats left at the counter, but as long as I can enjoy the yakiniku, the location doesn't matter (^_^*) I started with a highball and ordered hormone salt and miso, beef tongue, skirt meat, and sagari. I relaxed and enjoyed my meal at my own pace. Eating yakiniku alone means I can enjoy the meat at its best, perfectly cooked! The hormone here has a perfect balance of thickness and seasoning, very delicious! The beef tongue was so good, especially when dipped in lemon juice when the fat starts to melt. Yum! I also had the skirt meat as a snack. It was chewy and satisfying. I lightly cooked the sagari and enjoyed it while it was still juicy! I had a few more highballs and felt great. Now, time for some carbs! Itadakimasu! Thank you for the delicious meal!

I was hospitalized in this area for about a month due to some circumstances, and the next day I stayed at a hotel in Kotoni before heading home by JR. During the long hospital stay, I had boring days, but I could leisurely search for restaurants while looking at Tabelog. I called ahead to confirm a seat and arrived a little after 5:00 PM. I was seated at the counter and first ordered a draft beer for ¥450. The appetizer was salted cabbage. The first draft beer in a month. I didn't think it would taste this good. The salted cabbage was also delicious! It's great that you can order half-size portions of meat here, all at half the price. I ordered salted hormone for ¥250, top mino for ¥380, sliced nanban for ¥280, and Caesar salad for ¥480. In the hospital, we never got fresh vegetables, so the Caesar salad was really delicious! The meat that you cook and eat at your own pace is delicious! But if you suddenly eat something with a lot of fat, you might feel unwell, so I ate it in moderation. It was delicious! I wanted to eat yakiniku, and decided to try this restaurant nearby that I had never been to before. It was not crowded on a Sunday night. It seems that everyone gets a complimentary appetizer. The menu states that there is a 300 yen charge for the appetizer. A shichirin grill is brought out, and there is a duct to suck up the smoke, so it doesn't get smoky. My friend and I ordered beef tongue, beef kalbi, beef sagari, salted hormone, tanmoto, loin jingisukan, cold noodles, and bibimbap. The beef tongue and beef sagari had a rich meaty flavor and a strong umami taste. The beef kalbi was not as fatty as expected and was easy to eat. The tanmoto had a juicy meaty flavor and a good texture, very delicious. The cold noodles had a clear soup with chewy noodles and a soft-boiled egg, a taste that I like! It was quite delicious. The meat dishes are a bit on the pricey side, but the side dishes are reasonably priced.

This restaurant is a go-to spot for me when I want to eat yakiniku but don't feel like walking far from the subway station. It's close, affordable, delicious, and offers all-you-can-drink options. In addition to my usual meat orders, I tried the grilled mackerel with miso and mayonnaise, which surprisingly paired well with the meal. However, it's quite rich in flavor, so it's best enjoyed as a side dish with rice. I will definitely visit this place again when I crave yakiniku.

I went to Oomasa-san for the first time! It's my first visit. I walked from Kotonishi Subway Station. I saw a good-looking yakiniku restaurant and decided to go in. First, I ordered a beer. The menu looked good with a variety of meat options. They also had half sizes available. The beef tongue with salt was delicious. The pork belly was crispy and tasty. The cartilage was really good. The marbled meat had a sweet taste and was enjoyable. The kimchi was not too spicy. The charcoal grill had the perfect heat level. The staff were friendly and provided good service. A yakiniku restaurant located right near Kotoni Station. I love charcoal-grilled yakiniku. The ventilation system is well-equipped to prevent the smell from lingering. The appetizer is cabbage with sesame oil, which is delicious. The Ichibo is cut into steak-like blocks, tender and flavorful with a good amount of marbling. The Geta Kalbi is a large piece of rib meat cut with scissors and includes plenty of onions. The Wagyu Momo Kalbi (half) is tasty but the portion is small, as expected for a half portion. The Cherry Yukhoe consists of shredded cherry beef with cucumber, green onions, and egg yolk, which is quite enjoyable. Overall, this restaurant offers good value for the quality of food, although nothing particularly outstanding.

At the Kinsei station, I usually head straight to "Sumi-ya" for yakiniku, but today I decided to try a new place near the bus center called "Daimasa." It was a Sunday after 4 pm and there were no other customers. We sat at the counter and ordered two highballs. For yakiniku, we ordered the delicious salted hormone for 380 yen, sliced cartilage for 320 yen, pork skirt for 480 yen, and top gatsu for 550 yen. The salted hormone was chewy but slightly tough, which was a bit disappointing as it would have been perfect if it was tender. The sliced cartilage was a bit hard to judge if it was tasty or not. The pork skirt, said to be from Furano, had a unique texture with chewy fatty parts, which I quite enjoyed. The top gatsu had a crispy texture with a good bite, but it's important not to overcook it. The saltiness was just right. We had refills of highballs and sake. I tend to only eat offal when I go to yakiniku restaurants, so it's always a budget-friendly meal for me. Sometimes I think I should try something different when I come here. Thank you for the meal.
