They had descriptions of the beans, and I told the female staff my preferred taste, and she recommended two types of beans, 100g each. They were packaged for me to take home. They can grind the beans for you, but I chose to take them as they are. To be honest, I haven't tried them yet (oops), but I'm sure they will be delicious. They have a wide variety of beans, so I feel like I'll find my ideal taste after visiting a few more times.

"Yoshinori Coffee" in Higashikawa, I'm here alone as usual, Yome-san is working and it's getting late, so I decided to come to Higashikawa. I usually visit the three cities, but this time it's different. There are no more shops to visit in Kushiro, I visited Obihiro for two weeks in a row, and Asahikawa... maybe? I was thinking about it, but it's a bit far. So, Higashikawa it is. I found out it's only about 5 km away. I don't remember why I didn't come earlier, I had made a note to visit a few weeks ago. Yoshinori Coffee was also on the list. It's located in the middle of a field. The atmosphere is maintained as the rice fields are not harvested. The interior of the shop is also lovely, mainly frequented by women. The previous customers were five women. The interior of the shop is nice, so I decided to have a drink inside. It's 100 yen more expensive, but the two very friendly women working there made the experience enjoyable. I have visited many places in Higashikawa this time, and all of them had impeccable customer service. The hospitality is exceptional. I wish other tourist spots would follow suit. The coffee comes in a deep and light type, and I chose the former. It arrived after 5 minutes, brewed with a machine. It looks dark enough, but upon tasting it, I remembered what a local had said. It's on the lighter side. The beans are probably different, so I can't compare them under the same conditions, but it lacks intensity. It's not very strong or deep. The beans themselves are probably good quality. It gives you the feeling of having had coffee, and I enjoyed the atmosphere, so it was good."

I'm not a fan of fruity aromas or strong acidity in coffee, so I tend to choose dark roast over light roast. I carefully selected a blend called No.102 Kokubuka, priced at 690 yen for 100g, because I prefer to try coffee that I haven't had in the store. The description mentioned flavors of blueberry, cocoa, and bitter chocolate, which made me a bit hesitant, but I decided to bring it home anyway. The coffee had a rich flavor and seemed to be made from fresh beans, as it foamed up when I poured hot water over it. It also had a hint of gas in it. As it cooled down, a slight acidity emerged, but overall, it was delicious! I was satisfied with how I brewed it, even better than the store staff. As a suggestion, I would like to see the roasting date printed on the package. According to the leaflet I received, the coffee can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks, or in the freezer for longer, with a shelf life of 90 days. So, I assume it was roasted on August 5th.

I came here after seeing it being sold at Asahikawa Airport and in front of Asahikawa Station, wondering if it would be delicious. There was a price difference of 100 yen between takeout and dining in, so I decided to dine in. However, the coffee was very weak, almost like water, and I couldn't drink it. It was even thinner than convenience store coffee. They served it in a paper cup, which made me question why I didn't just get takeout. It seems that the owner and their staff upstairs serve it in a mug. Perhaps espresso is their main focus, as it is listed first on the menu. Even if it was a mistake with the hand drip coffee, I don't think this place is known for its coffee. It's quite common to see staff tasting the coffee with a spoon after brewing it. If they are using part-time staff, I hope they do this more often. Alternatively, investing in a high-quality coffee maker that produces consistent results regardless of who is brewing it would be a good idea. Overall, it was a disappointing experience at this tourist-friendly cafe.

A coffee specialty shop with a large roasting machine made in Germany. I ordered today's coffee (Seasonal Blend 21 Spring) iced latte. I took off my shoes and enjoyed it inside, which is also the owner's home. The coffee was surprisingly more aromatic than the one I usually make with my coffee maker! The staff stamped the shop's logo on each cup, stacking them up in a pyramid shape. They also sell roasted coffee beans in the shop, and you can have them ground on the spot to take home.

It could be just right for a casual drive.

One of the trendy cafes in Higashikawa is "Yoshinori Coffee," which caught the attention of the local coffee expert chappytsum. I finally had the chance to visit this cafe, located on a side road just a short drive from Asahikawa city. I tried the Americano HOT for 350 yen, made with the "Blend No.102 Kokubuka" beans. It was pleasantly bitter, full-bodied, and had a strong kick. I also tried the Colombia Buenavista coffee, produced by the rising star Astrid Medina Pereira, for 800 yen per 100g. It had a rich aroma and a strong acidity, which may be too sour for some people. Personally, I prefer the "Blend No.102 Kokubuka." It could just be a matter of personal preference.

Yoshinori Coffee is located in Higashikawa, not far from Asahikawa, making it easy to stop by on the way back. You can sit and enjoy your coffee in the back space of the shop. I recommend ordering their coffee - it was a bit light for me, but the aroma was wonderful and it was a comforting, warm cup of coffee. The cookies that came with it were delicious too. I could hear voices coming from upstairs, so I wonder if it's a living space.

Upon opening the wooden door, you are greeted by the aroma of coffee and a tastefully decorated space. This is a specialty coffee shop where the owner, a coffee master, sources and roasts carefully selected coffee beans from various countries. They offer bean sales, coffee takeout, and also have a space for dining in. The atmosphere of the shop is so nice that I decide to dine in. I choose my favorite beans and brewing method. When I express my preferences, the staff also recommend beans that would suit my taste. I opt for the "Seasonal Blend 'Autumn'" as a "Café au Lait (Hot)" (400 yen including tax). With the drink, a cookie is included, but I also order a "Coffee Financier" (160 yen) as a coffee accompaniment. The dining area with a view of the rural landscape has a great atmosphere. It is said that the "Seasonal Blend 'Autumn'" has a smooth texture, and when made into a Café au Lait, it becomes even milder. I enjoy it along with the Coffee Financier while admiring the scenery. Many customers at the order counter seem to be ordering soft serve ice cream and affogatos. This shop is also known for the deliciousness of its soft serve ice cream. Therefore, I also try the "Affogato" (500 yen) made with the tasty coffee. The combination of soft serve ice cream and the fragrant coffee from this shop was very smooth and delicious. This lovely shop offers delicious coffee, a nice atmosphere, and a view of nature. It's a great place to visit on a weekend drive!
