It was a Saturday morning with a barber appointment scheduled, so it turned out to be a day where I couldn't go far. Tomorrow is golf, so this week is not a week where I can build up inventory. To try and make up for it a little, I thought of going to a few places, but there are only a few I can think of. It's Bihoro, take the JR train and head there, have a drink from noon onwards, visit three places to drink and eat until full. Even though I'm already full, there's one more place in the plan, so I reluctantly head to "Natsukashi-ya" for okonomiyaki. It's impossible to eat at the restaurant anymore. I'm already full. So, I'm really about to burst. It's a flashy place that tries to attract young people with "How about stopping by?" I don't invite people over who are over 60. Even though there are no previous customers, the guys there are very energetic. They are full of the atmosphere of an izakaya. I order a beer. It's expensive, 540 yen. It's cold. It's half frozen. That's what I expect, but what I don't expect is that it's not beer. This is something that young people who don't know the taste would like. It's not for me. The background music is young. I don't hate it. The menu has a lot of items. It's a hassle, so I order something I know, "Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki modern". Can we stop with this naming? I don't like ordering it. "Modern", right? Do I have to raise the tone at the end? Or lower it? I don't know. The teppan is right in front of me, and they say "It will take time to cook and bring it to you". I have to wait until it's cooked. The guys there are all in a good mood. They don't look down on an old man like me. I don't know if they understand my feelings, but the beer is bad. Don't try to fool me. I'm not falling for it. I'll have "Hokkaido Katsu". It's cold this time. It's written as "masu" but it's in a glass. It's cold. It's written as "masu" but it's in a glass. It's a small glass. That's what I got. I have to look for the yakisoba. There's plenty of bean sprouts. Is this the default for Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki? There's so much bean sprouts in it. I thought it was strange, but it's pork belly. It's overcooked and there's not much of it. The cabbage is soft and laid out. I don't need cabbage. I always end up with leftover cabbage. Well, the okonomiyaki is fine. I'm not expecting much. Well, I don't expect much, but I want them to surprise me. The bill is clear and I hate strange bills, so I'm satisfied with that alone. The guys there provided good customer service until the end. Thank you.

I chose an okonomiyaki with plenty of cheese, and topped it with mochi. The cheese melted and stretched, making it a must-try for cheese lovers. They generously filled the inside with cheese, and also added two slices of cheese on top when it was cooked. Additionally, I asked for "Baby Star 50 yen," which is mainly used for monjayaki, as a topping for the okonomiyaki. The crispy texture of the Baby Star added a nice touch to the melty cheese okonomiyaki. I also enjoyed a soft drink called "Ume Gold," which had plum syrup added to make it a real treat. Behind the counter, the owner's little daughter was watching Demon Slayer.

I went there. Maybe I should have ordered more variety. I had mentaiko monjayaki for one person. Yakisoba for one person as well. The okonomiyaki with 3 kinds of cheese was delicious.

I didn't know there was a shop like this in Bihoro. First of all, I was surprised by the variety of the menu. Seafood okonomiyaki, salt yakisoba, scallop deluxe okonomiyaki, soul fried rice, ramen salad. The seafood okonomiyaki and salt salad were delicious, so I recommend them. The other items were also tasty, but average. However, I was surprised when I ordered strawberry monja for dessert. It was unexpectedly delicious!! It's worth trying. The staff were cheerful and polite, which was nice. Next time, I want to try different menu items.

After playing in Bihoro, I felt like grabbing a bite to eat, so I drove around in my car looking for a place. There were lots of bars with signs, but I was driving so I couldn't go. I found a beautiful restaurant with log cabin-style illumination just a short distance away from the bar district and decided to go in. I had thought okonomiyaki was eaten at tables, but here they had many sunken kotatsu-style seating areas. Since I like taking off my shoes when I'm on a drive, I went straight to the sunken seating area without hesitation. The staff were energetic and loud, creating a lively atmosphere. There were many different types of okonomiyaki to choose from, making it hard to decide. I opted for a regular portion of cheese okonomiyaki as I didn't want to gain weight, but the cheese was still plenty gooey and delicious. The mentaiko monjayaki was also really tasty. At first, I was unsure about having mentaiko with monjayaki, but the salty and spicy flavor paired well with the monjayaki, creating a taste that was addictive. There was a spacious parking lot next to the restaurant, making it easy to park. With the sunken seating areas, I think families with young children can enjoy their meal without any worries.

In this area, there are no specialty stores for okonomiyaki or monjayaki yet, so this shop is a valuable find. The location in Bihoro town is a bit complex and hard to navigate for first-time visitors. A good landmark is the Bihoro town library. Once you find it, the shop is nearby and easy to spot with its prominent sign. The parking lot is spacious, so finding a spot shouldn't be a problem. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff is friendly and welcoming. The monjayaki has a wide variety of toppings. The taste is decently good, not outstanding but also not disappointing. It feels like what you would expect from a chain restaurant.
