On a regular weekday at lunchtime, I entered the restaurant and didn't feel too much of a business-like atmosphere, thinking it must be because it's in Hokkaido. I ordered the "Momiji Don" set with miso soup and a side dish. The "Momiji Don" is like sukiyaki with deer meat, although they didn't specify if it was Ezo deer. I wondered if it was Ezo deer, as I had tried Ezo deer burger before. Even though I didn't think, "Oh, this is deer meat," it was delicious.

I went to have lunch in Minamifurano town! The restaurant I was planning to visit was closed... (later I saw that it was clearly stated on SNS...) So, I drove further and decided to have lunch at the Michi-no-Eki in Minamifurano. I've been to Montbell before, but I had never seen the food court area. I was surprised by how many shops there were. Looking at the menus displayed in front of the shops, I decided to visit "Hoshizawa-ya Koyote Shop." It's a shop produced by Professor Hoshizawa! I felt like trying something different from what I usually eat, so I chose the "Venison Hayashi Rice Bowl (with miso soup) for 950 yen." I purchased it from the ticket machine. There are counter seats inside and terrace seats outside. It's nice and cool with the air conditioning. After about 5 minutes, my number was called. Let's dig in. First, the venison hayashi. It has a refreshing taste and it's delicious. The hayashi sauce has a slight acidity from the tomatoes. It's light. It's been a while since I've had hayashi. The venison has no gamey taste, and if you didn't know, you might think it's beef. The meat has a nice elasticity. The rice is slightly brown. It's a 5-mix rice. The rice is cooked just right, and it would make a good rice ball, I thought as I finished it. Being a Michi-no-Eki, the portion size is moderate. Also, the miso soup. It had chunky vegetables in it. Although it's not distinctive, miso soup always brings comfort. I ended up having hayashi rice at a shop mainly known for rice balls, but it was quite good. It's nice to eat dishes made with local ingredients at a Michi-no-Eki. Thank you for the meal!

The 260 yen Kamaboko Camembert Miso Rice Ball, Venison Tsukudani, and Tomato Cold Soup for 550 yen. The rice ball made with brown rice is delicious and the ingredients are tasty. The cold soup was not as flavorful as expected, more like a cold miso soup with tomatoes. The staff talked to me as if they were talking to a friend.

I visited the "Hoshizawaya Furano Store" at the Michi-no-Eki in Minamifurano for the first time today (* 'ᵕ' )☆ Surprisingly, Hoshizawa-sensei himself was there! He recommended the delicious miso soup, so I bought it too (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡

This is a restaurant review about a local TV program in Hokkaido. The review talks about a renowned cooking expert, Ms. Sachiko Hosizawa, who has a new restaurant at a roadside station in her hometown of Minamifurano. The station offers healthy traditional dishes made with local ingredients, such as rice using half-polished Hokkaido-grown rice. The reviewer also mentions their experience ordering miso soup and rice balls at the restaurant, praising the delicious taste and quality of the food.

"Five-grain rice ball with Camembert miso pickle" for 260 yen, "Rice croquettes (with venison tsukudani and ketchup flavor) 2 pieces" for 350 yen, "Imomochi 3 pieces" for 350 yen. This is a shop in the food court at Minamifurano Michi-no-Eki, produced by Yukiko Hoshizawa, so expectations are high. I decided to try the Camembert miso pickle rice ball, as I wanted to try something new. I also couldn't resist the rice croquettes and imomochi displayed by the register, so I bought those as well. I paid with cash as there were limited cashless options. The rice ball was made fresh after ordering and the staff wore gloves for hygiene. I ate in my car as the place was empty, feeling a bit nervous eating alone. The Camembert rice ball didn't have as much miso flavor as I expected, but the rice was delicious. My companion had the salted salmon, which was as delicious as anticipated. The rice croquettes had a crispy outer layer and a ketchup rice filling, while the imomochi were bite-sized and tasty, although I wished for a stronger sweet potato flavor. Rice balls like the ones in old stories are indeed delicious!"

Received a stamp at Michi-no-Eki Minamifurano and decided to stop by the newly built food court on the premises. Went into a shop called "Hoshizawa-ya," which is produced by the cooking corner manager, Sachiko Hoshizawa, from the popular TV show. They recommended their specialty dish, "Minami-fried," which is a mochi with Ezo deer meat simmered in it. Since I didn't like the sweet simmered Ezo deer meat I had tried before, I looked for something else. I love croquettes, so I decided on the "Rice Croquette" (350 yen). I used the automatic ordering machine to select my order and pay the fee. After waiting for 9 minutes, my number was called, and I received my order to enjoy at the food court. The croquette was crispy and delicious, but the ketchup rice inside was mushy. It also had the sweet simmered meat in it, possibly the Ezo deer meat I was trying to avoid. The seasoning was also lacking, so I was disappointed. Perhaps it's better to stick to a simple onigiri rather than trying unique menu items here. Thank you, "Furusato-ten," for the meal.

Mr. Hoshizawa visited the shop. He made us an egg omelette directly.
