I don't drink alcohol, so I wasn't very interested in a place called Ebisu Bar. I was looking for lunch near Sapporo Station, and my senior colleague wanted to eat a hearty meal, so we decided to try this place. It was a little after 1 pm on a Sunday, and the restaurant was about half full. We were seated right away. The lunch menu was quite extensive, with prices around 1000 yen each and free extra portions available, so it seemed like a good deal. The main dishes were meat-based, such as steak, hamburgers, fried food, cutlets, beef stew, etc. I ordered the Teppan-style Napolitan pasta, and my colleague ordered the customizable lunch set meal. He chose pork cutlet and grilled chicken. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes. Both the Napolitan and the meat dishes were piping hot. The Napolitan was served on a hot plate, but it wasn't sizzling. It seemed like they cooked it in a regular frying pan and then transferred it to a slightly warm hot plate. The noodles were cooked al dente and had a good ketchup flavor. The customizable lunch was especially enjoyed by my colleague, who particularly liked the grilled chicken. The pork cutlet seemed a bit thin. Overall, the location was convenient, the portions were generous, and the food was tasty for the price. I haven't had a jockey in a while, so I was excited to have one again. When I drink during the day, I tend to feel more adventurous. No, even though the amount increased, I finished it in about 5 minutes. I usually ignore the lunch menu because I come here for day drinking, but this time I decided to try the lunch set. The side dish was a sophisticated potato salad, and you can choose from rice, bread, or salad, so you can customize it to your liking. Oh, the freedom is great. Day drinking is the best!

On Sunday around 4:45 pm, I dropped by the Ebisu New Origin without a reservation as usual. It's usually easy to get a seat for one person without waiting, so I sat at the counter. There seemed to be a lot of reservations that day, as I noticed reservation plates scattered around. The age group of the other customers was on the older side, including myself haha. I enjoyed the garlic toast, which is becoming a regular choice, and made use of a good deal coupon to drink freely and head home slightly tipsy. It's great to be able to drink at the Ebisu bar again this month.

I finished my errands near Kita 24-jo, and it was slightly later than usual, around 11 o'clock. I never expected to end up with 6 acupuncture needles at my usual finishing time... (laughs) Feeling a bit hungry, I decided to take a trip to the city center via the Namboku Line subway. The station I got off at was Sapporo Station, which was bustling with both foreign tourists and high school students participating in the Inter-High. Today, I decided to wander around the usual Sapporo Station underground shopping area. This place was renovated 24 years ago, but originally it was the Sapporo Station shopping arcade that opened 51 years ago. I wonder how the structure of the building has changed over the years. I visited a restaurant located at the west end of APIA called "Ebisu Bar." The name alone made me feel like the place might be a bit high-end... (laughs) I arrived at 11:20, and there were a few customers already there, including two lively women. The interior of the restaurant was bright, unlike other eateries in APIA. It had a beer bar vibe with the high counter seating, which surprisingly made me feel more comfortable. I placed my order using a tablet, which had a menu similar to the beer hall in Tanukikoji 2-chome. I decided to order the "Japanese-style Hamburger & Shrimp Fry for 1,210 yen" from the lunch menu, with a large portion of rice. I also splurged on a "Limited Draft Ebisu New Origin for 770 yen." The beer was poured into the glass with great care, and the taste was truly delicious. When my main dish arrived, it was a hearty and flavorful hamburger, accompanied by potato salad, broccoli, and cream sauce-covered corn. I enjoyed the meal with my beer, while observing another customer ordering a hamburger and multiple refills of draft beer. It made me think about indulging in a few dishes and beers without worrying about the cost. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

After 17:30, seats started to become available and there was no more waiting. I realized that I should have avoided peak hours since I am a frequent visitor. Maybe there was an event nearby, or tourists, or it's banquet season? Regardless, it's important to consider the day and time when visiting. Unfortunately, due to my work schedule, I don't have much flexibility in choosing when to go. Tonight's dish was German potato. It was my first time trying it since I didn't want to get too full on potatoes and not be able to drink beer. It's like mashed potatoes with bacon mixed in, baked and topped with powdered cheese. It's slightly sweet and delicious. I could eat it bit by bit, and I think it's better than french fries. Maybe it's high in calories though. Oh well, I'll definitely come back again. Managed to get a seat without waiting, but it was noisy. Even a refreshing beer tasted bitter?! Not feeling well, so decided to try the Premium Black. Still bitter. Strange. Oh well, just two drinks and then I'll go home. Need to be careful with my health to enjoy drinking.

The red sea bream with sesame dressing is delicious. I decided to try the Citrus Ale because I usually like dark beers. They recommended squeezing lime after taking a few sips. I followed their advice as I love lime, the aroma makes me happy. I couldn't really tell the difference before and after squeezing the lime, I have an unrefined palate, haha.

I went to this restaurant for the first time in a long time, so long that I can't remember when I last visited. I wanted to grab a bite before my errands, so I went on a Saturday evening and was able to be seated right away as there were empty tables. I ordered the domestic cod fish & chips, and while the fries seemed a bit stale, the fish fry had a crispy texture and was delicious, hot and freshly fried. I plan to come back next time for a leisurely drink.

It was a bit crowded at first, so I went to buy some cold medicine and when I came back, I found some empty seats. Let's go! I had my first beer in a while and it was so delicious! This day, I had a rare day drinking session with a friend, bar hopping! We started at this place where they used to have a dreamy deal - all-you-can-drink Ebisu beer for 1 hour for 1500 yen per person (last order 20 minutes before closing). I had 7 beers that time and it was amazing! I wish they would hold a similar event again. But I digress. Let's start with a toast with a pint glass. Cheers with "Amber Ebisu Premium" (1012 yen). They also had a great deal where you could choose 3 appetizers for a good price - I had prosciutto, cream cheese, and camembert cheese. I was so engrossed in drinking and chatting that I forgot to take a picture of the menu, so I'm not sure of the details. After the pint, I tried the glass beers "Ebisu Premium Black" (682 yen) and "Ebisu Premium Ale" (682 yen). As expected of Ebisu, both the black beer and the ale were delicious! Sapporo is supposed to be a beer city, but there aren't many beer bars. In that sense, I think this place is valuable. It is located in a dining area directly connected to Sapporo Station. Since it's an Ebisu shop, there is a wide selection of Ebisu beers. The way they pour the beer is skillful, so it tastes delicious. Surprisingly, the food is also delicious. It's perfect for when you want to have a dinner centered around beer. However, Sapporo-based restaurants don't seem to take good photos. It seems like they could take more appetizing pictures...

On a business trip, I decided to try the revolving sushi restaurant alone. While I didn't feel the quality was outstanding and it didn't seem to have any connection to Sapporo, as long as I could enjoy a good beer, anything would do. There is a similar place in Shin-Yokohama, but I never had the chance to go in due to time constraints, so I finally made a bold move to enter just 15 minutes before last call. It turned into a endurance race of how many drinks I could have, starting with a Meister glass, then a 50/50 jockey, and finally a Citrus Ale jockey. Honestly, the first drink didn't impress me at all. It was just water, but in a good way. The Meister beer really hit the spot. The 50/50 was a bit lighter than I prefer, but it was still enjoyable. The food had its hits and misses. The Hokkaido pork sausage and pickled ginger fried chicken were delicious. I might try making pickled ginger fried chicken at home. The grilled edamame was a bit overcooked, making the beans too mushy for my liking. I wish they had a firmer texture. The buttered potatoes were fried, but I would have preferred them to be softer and more buttery. Overall, the beer was great.

I tried ordering Citrus Ale for the first time. The refreshing lime flavor made my liver, which had been under the influence of alcohol, feel like it was back to zero. So satisfying. I wonder if the staff in black attire are employees? It wasn't the usual person, so maybe they were relocated? The part-time staff also seemed different, spring is a season of change after all. I silently support all the hardworking staff. Please pour me a delicious beer from the tap.

Looks like humans still have the upper hand! Haha. I just noticed that there is a category for "Recommended Seasonal Dishes," so I promptly ordered the Spring Vegetable Salad. Even though I got the half portion, it was still quite generous and made for a great side dish. Tonight, once again, I had a pleasant time full of discoveries and enjoyment.

I tried the refreshing and smooth Ebisu Meister beer for 720 yen. The appetizer trio of potato salad, prosciutto, and sea bream carpaccio for 900 yen was beautifully presented and delicious. I also enjoyed the rich and aromatic Amber YEBISU Premium beer for 600 yen. I will definitely visit again when it's less crowded. Thank you for the delicious meal!
