This is a gelato shop located about a 2-minute walk from Furano Station. The shop owner, who is a former pastry chef, makes handmade gelato with a focus on quality ingredients. I had gelato as a dessert to end my 2021 Furano trip, near where I stayed at Furano Naturarix. First, I bought a ticket from the ticket machine. I chose a double cup for 410 yen. I handed the ticket to the staff and chose milk and Furano-produced haskap flavor. I sat on a bench outside the shop and enjoyed the gelato. It was generously served and had a rich flavor but was easy to eat without feeling heavy. It was delicious.

I went to Furano to take a bath in a hot spring, and although the bathing fee was a bit high, the view from the open-air bath was great and I was satisfied. After the bath, I cooled down by visiting a famous gelato shop. The shop had a limit of 2 groups entering at a time, so I had to wait in line. By the time I could order, there were only 4 flavors left. I chose a trial set of 3 flavors (Haskap Milk, Yuzu, Pistachio Custard) for 380 yen. The Haskap flavor was surprisingly delicious, the Custard was light and milky, and the Pistachio was rich and flavorful. Even though I couldn't choose from the remaining options, I was very satisfied with the flavors I got. I look forward to visiting again to try different flavors. Thank you, "Happa"!

Located in the center of Furano City, this gelato shop offers a variety of flavors that change daily. I decided to try the "Triple" (470 yen including tax) in a cup. For my choices, I selected the recommended "iyokan" flavor, along with "Naka-Furano strawberry yogurt" and "Furano haskap berry milk" to complete the trio. The iyokan flavor was refreshing and slightly tangy, perfect for the season. The strawberry yogurt gelato had a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, while the haskap berry milk gelato was made with locally sourced berries and had a refreshing tartness. The shop also had a cozy seating area and offered complimentary hot barley tea. Overall, I enjoyed the seasonal gelato flavors and the friendly service at this shop.

On Respect for the Aged Day, I visited an izakaya for lunch with my wife, my child, and my sister's family to celebrate our grandparents. Afterwards, my sister's family suggested, "Let's all have gelato together!" The area around Furano Station has transformed into such a spacious and lovely space compared to when I was a child. It has become quite sophisticated. Each of us ordered our favorite gelato flavors. I chose strawberry milk and grape. Wow, this grape flavor is so tangy—it reminds me of the wild grapes I used to climb trees to eat as a child. A bit nostalgic for me personally. My child went with the safe choice of milk flavor. And my grandpa said, "I don't need any because I've been drinking." My child and grandpa sat on a bench in front of the shop, basking in the autumn sun. According to the shop's website, they aim to be a gelato shop where "both small children and the elderly can enjoy from time to time." Shop owner, I hope you were okay with this scene? There were no shops like this when I was young—it has truly become a countryside where families can come and enjoy various things. Today, another precious memory of everyday life was created. On the first day of my train journey, I arrived in Furano by train and a substitute bus from Obihiro. I had a 1 hour and 30 minute stay in Furano because the next train to Higashi-Shikagoe was at 2:19 PM. If I missed this train, the next one was at 4:48 PM. I had to make it back to Obihiro that day, so I couldn't stay out too late. The fastest train back to Obihiro was at 4:48 PM, arriving at 7:58 PM. I didn't have time for any detours, just a quick stop in Furano. I decided to have some gelato at "Hanpa Gelato" after lunch at "Kumagera". I tried the prune flavor, which was recommended. It was a healthy and tasty treat. Later, I caught the 2:19 PM train to Higashi-Shikagoe and then switched to a substitute bus to head to Niikappu.

It is located in the street near the gym. The exquisite taste using seasonal fresh ingredients makes me want to try everything.

I indulged in a double apple dessert for the first time in a month. Since lunch was fried food, I craved for a second serving of the double apple. The pistachio flavor was irresistible. I want to eat it explosively at home. Adults really do love gelato. I want to take it out and nestle in.

The pistachio was delicious.
