I was alone in Nakashibetsu and started late, so even after 12 o'clock, I only visited four places. The second and fourth places were lively, and I stayed too long. There are few open stores at this time, and I could just go home, but I finally entered a store that I had been curious about but hesitated to enter. The place was lively with three middle-aged women at the box seats. I was seated at a substitute counter-like seat and ordered a beer. The beer was not good, and I was disappointed. The appetizer was amazing, especially the sweet and salty "tsu" which went well with beer. The octopus and seaweed were decent, but the tuna was not something I could easily eat. Eventually, I also ordered the soy sauce ramen. The noodles were not from Kushiro, so I felt relieved. The ginger was overpowering, and the menma was overly salty. The soup had a good umami flavor, but the ramen was a bit too salty. I couldn't finish everything, but overall, it was an enjoyable night in Nakashibetsu with visits to five places. I had a good time and would like to come back again. My friend also wants to drink in Nakashibetsu, so I will come back next time.

In the town of Nakashibetsu, there is a dining place called "Ruburan." The lavender-colored signboard saying "FROM Furano from the Northern Country" caught my attention, so I decided to have dinner here. They had a menu item called "Navel Bowl." Furano is known as the "navel of Hokkaido" because it is located at the center of Hokkaido's latitude and longitude. I wondered about the connection between Nakashibetsu and Furano. I ordered the "Navel Bowl," which is essentially a pork bowl with a raw egg in the middle, symbolizing the navel. The pork loin, cooked in a sweet and salty sauce, mixed with the egg resulting in a delicious and unique flavor. I learned that such unexpected combinations exist and enjoyed the meal. The miso soup was made from salmon broth, a pleasant surprise. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. The reason why there is a connection between Nakashibetsu and Furano is that the owner of the restaurant used to work at a dining place in Furano and liked the town. There was no Furano local specialty "Omurice" on the menu, probably because the owner moved to Nakashibetsu before it became a popular dish in Furano. Thankfully, there was no music from "Northern Country" by Masashi Sada playing in the restaurant.
