This is the Tanseiro Goma Soba. The tempura included two shrimp, seaweed, eggplant, and green pepper. The tempura is crispy. The Goma Soba doesn't have a smooth texture. It might be more delicious to eat it as kake soba.

The soba noodles here are also a favorite of my mother. She couldn't come with me this time because she is in a facility now, which is a shame. It was a hot day, but the daily special was wild vegetable soba, and since I love wild vegetables, I chose that! I also had a mini pork cutlet rice bowl set. It was past 1 o'clock, but it was crowded. I ate leisurely because I have to go run errands after this. It was the Bon holiday period, so they didn't have their usual lunch set, but I was very satisfied! It had been a while since I last ate soba noodles at this restaurant. It was delicious!

This restaurant is a chain store in Hokkaido, known for its specialty sesame soba. As the name suggests, the soba is mixed with sesame seeds. However, the sesame flavor is not very strong and it tastes similar to regular soba. The addition of sesame seeds can be considered healthy, so it feels like a bit of a bonus. The taste is average. It's a pretty good deal because you get a lot for the price.

Visited the restaurant on the way back to Sapporo and had the Tamago Toji Soba for 760 yen. The place was very crowded but the egg topping was to my liking. It was fluffy and generous in portion. A sesame soba shop beloved by the people of Chitose City.

I used this restaurant along the JR Chitose Line on my way back from New Chitose Airport. I ordered cold soba noodles with sesame seeds and a mini tendon. The noodles here are served with a spicy sauce, which has a rich Hokkaido-like flavor. The toppings for the soba noodles were nori and green onions, keeping it simple and delicious. The noodles had a good texture, and I think this soba restaurant is tasty even among chain stores. The mini tendon had shrimp, eggplant, nori, and pumpkin tempura on top. The sauce was quite sweet, and there was also extra sauce on the side. The crispy tempura and sauce went well with the rice, making it a satisfying meal. Even though it was dinner time, I ended up eating such a hearty meal. I guess I'll start my diet tomorrow...

In February 2023, I revisited the annual tradition of enjoying the "Kasusoba" at "Gomasoba Yutsuru" that appears at the end of each year. Unfortunately, I missed out on it this year as it sold out before I could try it. However, I was able to try the new "Gyutan (beef tongue) Motsu Soba" that was introduced after the New Year. This dish uses only the small intestine part of the beef, known as "Maruchou," making it easier for those who are not fans of motsu to enjoy. Personally, I don't mind other motsu parts like heart, tripe, or striped intestines, but a soba dish made with collagen-rich Maruchou alone may appeal more to women. I felt that having a bit more volume in the ingredients would be nice, so perhaps offering a larger serving option for a slightly higher price could be considered. I also ordered the "Soba Rice Set," which includes soba rice, a mini salad, and pickles. Surprisingly, the set and the individual item are priced the same, and the set option is now available all day, offering great value. I arrived late, so there was only one other customer, allowing me to relax and enjoy my meal. When dining alone, you may be seated at the counter, but during idle times, you may be seated at a table, so timing your visit accordingly might be a good idea. The total cost was 1,300 yen (Gyutan Motsu Soba 980 yen / Soba Rice Set 320 yen).

Today is so cold! In the town of Shumarinai in Hokkaido, it's freezing at -32.5 degrees Celsius! When you breathe in through your nose, your nostrils stick together because of the cold. By the way, this nostril sticking phenomenon happens when the temperature drops below -14.3 degrees Celsius. Sapporo is at -10.5 degrees, but today I'm in Chitose City where it's a whopping -14.4 degrees - "Nostril-Sticking Day"! As for food, on such a cold day, you have to eat this! The curry soba at "Yutsuru" is so delicious with its thick and slightly spicy broth. I think it's the best curry soba I've ever had. And don't forget to have some white rice with it too! It's also really tasty. I feel so warm now, almost too warm that my nose is running. Let's go outside and take a deep breath through our noses!

I had chilled udon noodles. Although it's called chilled udon noodles, the ingredients can vary slightly depending on the restaurant. Some places include a raw egg, sometimes a quail egg. Here, it's the standard tempura flakes, fish cake, and cucumber. I like to add chopped green onions towards the end. The tempura flakes add a nice flavor and a bit of a wild touch to the dish. Thank you for the meal!

Near JR Chitose Station, there is a busy street lined with franchised stores with spacious parking lots. At this location, both stores were crowded during lunchtime (around 2 pm on a Saturday). I ordered the chilled curry soba for 920 yen. After placing my order, the server loudly relayed it to the cook. Despite being a franchise, it seemed like there was a clear division of roles typical of a soba restaurant at this store. However, the floor was chaotic, possibly due to a shortage of staff. There were many empty tables, but they were not being cleared quickly, and energetic kids were running around the floor. It took a while for my order to be served, but the refreshing presentation made me feel cheerful. It was a chilled curry soba, which is essentially soba noodles in curry broth. The curry broth, seasoned with spices other than chili, was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the flavor coming from the simmered eggplant. The deep-fried green pepper, boiled chicken breast, wakame seaweed, radish salad, and mixed scallions added a nice salad-like touch to the dish. Although I initially ordered it to beat the heat, I ended up thoroughly enjoying the meal. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

At the airport, when checking in your luggage, remember to bring your camera battery with you on board. If you forget and realize later, it can be quite a problem. I forgot my battery at the airport and had to find a camera shop in Chitose. Luckily, they had the battery in stock and were kind enough to let me charge it there. While waiting for the battery to charge, I decided to have lunch at a nearby soba restaurant called Yu-Zuru. I ordered the soba and pork cutlet curry set. The soba had a hint of sesame flavor, but it was a bit firm for my liking. The curry was mild and the crispy pork cutlet added a nice touch. I enjoyed my leisurely soba lunch after resolving the camera battery issue. It was a relief to have a meal after dealing with the situation. Thank you, camera shop!笑

When I arrived at the restaurant I was aiming for in Chitose City, I found a notice saying it was closed for the day. So, I decided to visit this other restaurant instead. It's a well-known place in Hokkaido, with TV commercials that many people in Hokkaido are familiar with. This was my first visit to Yuzuru. My partner had already tried the food at a different location in Sapporo and seemed happy about the change in plans. We ordered the Tempura Soba for 1450 yen and the Kashiwa Soba for 820 yen. The soba and dipping sauce were both mild and easy to enjoy without any strong flavors. Personally, I really liked the sesame soba. The portion size of the Tempura Soba was also good. We arrived close to 2 pm and even though it was past lunchtime, the restaurant was almost full. With its convenient location, wide variety of menu options, and reasonable prices, it's no wonder this place is popular. My partner was very pleased, so I have a feeling we'll be coming back here again next time. Thank you for the meal!

I visited Hokkaido for the second time this year to climb Mt. Horokiri. I arrived at 18:30, rented a car, and visited a tonkatsu restaurant that I had checked in advance around 19:20, but unfortunately they were closing early due to the coronavirus. Disappointed, I tried another restaurant but it was already closed. Oh no! I might not be able to have dinner at this rate. I thought about going to the soup curry restaurant I visited last time, but decided to try "Yuzuru" located along the main road as it was a new development. Hokkaido soba is delicious, so I couldn't miss it. I initially planned to have tonkatsu, so I ordered the set meal with soba and tonkatsu for 1,200 yen. The set meal arrived in less than 10 minutes. It seemed slightly smaller than what was shown on the menu. I tried the soba first. It had a firm texture with sesame seeds mixed in, and it tasted great with the rich broth. Next, the tonkatsu. Hmm... no comment on this one. I will be staying in the mountains for a while starting tomorrow. I'm glad I could have a warm meal.

Today I had lunch at Playtsuru. I chose the mini shrimp tempura rice bowl set with cold soba. The partitions were a bit narrow and got in the way, but that's okay. The soba was smooth and delicious. The shrimp tempura rice bowl was also good (*^。^*) It started getting a bit crowded around noon, but it wasn't too busy yet. The lunch special is available until 3 pm, so I will definitely go back.

I am on a business trip in Chitose City. When I arrived at Ramai for lunch soup curry, I was disappointed to find out there was a wait of 7 groups ahead of me, so I decided to head back towards the station and ended up at Yuutsuru. Without hesitation, I ordered the lunch set, "Mini Shrimp Tempura Rice Bowl Set" for ¥750. After a short wait, the mini shrimp tempura rice bowl set arrived, and I started by sipping the soba noodles. It was quite light and I couldn't really taste the sesame seeds. I learned that their soba noodles are additive-free, which explains the light flavor. Next, I tried the mini shrimp tempura rice bowl. The shrimp, pumpkin, seaweed, and eggplant were all in a small bowl, and they provided sauce on the side for you to adjust to your liking. Each ingredient was crispy and the flavors of the ingredients and batter were well-balanced. This place is a reliable soba chain in Hokkaido.

After visiting the grave with my family and partner, we made a pit stop at a soba restaurant we've been going to for a long time. We arrived right when they opened, so we were able to get a table easily. My sister and I ordered the tempura chicken on soba noodles, while my mother and partner ordered the tempura chicken rice bowl with soba set. The tempura chicken was crispy and juicy, made with thigh meat which added a rich flavor. The soba noodles were easy to eat and had a delicious taste. It was so good, we finished it quickly. I wish this restaurant was closer to our home. Thank you for the meal!

Before heading to the Tokai region on a business trip from New Chitose Airport, I had lunch at "Gomasoba Yutsuru" Chitose Kitasakae branch. There are various dining options near Chitose Station such as Royal Host, Yoshinoya, Beef Impact, and Yamanosaru. It was my first time at "Yutsuru." I saw on TV that the "Oyster Tempura Rice Bowl Set" was popular, and I wanted to try it, but it was not on the menu at this branch. I ended up ordering the "Soba Shop's Katsu Curry Set" for 800 yen. The soba was served warm and the curry sauce was thick. The taste was average. The portion size for the price was reasonable. I will come back when they have the "Oyster Tempura Rice Bowl Set" again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Chitose City for the first time today, and it's snowing again. I feel cold and shivery after being outside. I decided to warm up with some hot food, so I visited Playtsuru Chitose Kitasakae store for the first time. I ordered the Wednesday special, which was the mountain vegetable soba. The soba was topped with plenty of mountain vegetables, and it was hot and comforting. The flavor was light and refreshing. I've been lacking vegetables lately, so it was nice to have a healthy soba dish. My body feels warm now, and I feel ready to tackle the rest of my work. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back again.

I wondered why I had never been there before, and then I realized it's because they close at 9 pm, which is just slightly too late for me to make it in time. Every time I think about going, they are already closed. But this time, by chance, I managed to arrive before 9 pm. I see, they have quite a variety of dishes, but unfortunately, they didn't have the set menu I wanted to try. I ended up finding a single item to order - the Katsu Soba for 746 yen. I usually enjoy Katsu Udon, but this was my first time trying Katsu Soba. It was delicious, just like the udon, but with a different twist. I appreciated that they brought the green onions separately, it was a nice touch. The soba had some black spots here and there, giving it a unique texture. Yes, the udon is tasty, but the soba worked well too. I enjoyed trying this unusual soba dish. I was finally able to visit and I'm happy about it. Thank you for the meal!

Visit date: September 29, 2019, around 7:30 PM. Today is the closing day of Ito Yokado Eniwa store. So, I decided to have dinner at the food court, but around 6:30 PM, the food court was already closed. It turns out that the operating hours were shortened, which I misunderstood. Therefore, I changed my plans and had lunch at Gomasoba Yuzuru Chitose Kitasakae store. I ordered the "Katsu Toji Soba (¥937)". It arrived in about 15 minutes. It features a decently sized katsu and a soft, flavorful egg on top of the soba noodles. The egg was soft and the flavor soaked into the katsu, making it delicious. The noodles were slightly firm. By the time I finished, my stomach was full and satisfied. Even if you don't finish the broth, it seems to have a good amount of calories. Yuzuru is only available at this location outside of Sapporo, so I hope they continue to do well. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing a meeting in Sakae-cho, I visited this place. I ordered the "neba-toro soba" from the pop-up menu on the wall. The cold sesame soba was delicious and filling. I even finished the natto at the bottom with a spoon, not leaving a single bean behind! The soba broth was plentiful, almost too much to drink! And with a 50 yen discount available for newsletter subscribers, I signed up right away! The neba-toro soba cost 810 yen, minus 50 yen discount, so 760 yen in total. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v
