I visited the Castle Hotel for the first time on a weekday in February 2023. The place was almost full by noon with a mix of previous and subsequent customers. I decided to use my Tabelog points and ordered the main dish along with access to the buffet. I opted for the Beef Fillet Cutlet with Balsamic Fondue Cheese Sauce and my companion had the Ankake Yakisoba. The beef cutlet was incredibly tender and delicious, definitely the highlight of the buffet. Other items I tried from the buffet included Avocado and Salmon Canapé, Dumplings, Gratin, Quiche, Peach Bun, Keema Curry, Bacon and Cheese Cocotte, Brown Rice Corn Soup, Sesame Dumplings, Brown Rice Pancakes, Pudding, and Brown Rice. Everything was surprisingly tasty, especially the Bacon and Cheese Cocotte which was my second favorite. The buffet had a variety of options and the quality of food was excellent. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the experience and will definitely be returning in the future.

As usual, it's the type of driver who drives fast. "Shall we go to Kushiro??" I chose Kushiro because my wife is off but I have work, so I thought we couldn't go far. I will leave at 5 pm after work, arriving at 7:30 pm, and start drinking at 8 pm. The hotel is Riverside, not a joke. It's on the left bank of the Kushiro River. I heard the hotel name, but I looked up where it was later. Oh, it's here, by the rotary. It's quite far from the station, so tonight we'll go drinking in the downtown area. Check-in will be at 8 pm. My wife was surprised when she was told, "It's a plan with breakfast included," because I hadn't made a hotel reservation. I was surprised when I went to the breakfast venue and was told, "We don't have a reservation." My wife had a "I knew it" expression, but I was like, "What the heck?" I went to the front desk and asked, "How much does it cost if I add breakfast?" I knew it was 2700 yen, but I thought they might offer it cheaper for guests. However, they said breakfast is by reservation only. There's a guest lounge for hotel guests. They even have wine. It's quite decent for a free service. I was surprised that there was no bath. When I asked if there was a large public bath, they said there shouldn't be one. Really? Just a shower? Is this like Europe or America? I was surprised. The room is small, but since we don't do much in the room anyway, it's fine. My wife said it's a high-class hotel, so I was expecting more. A bit disappointing, isn't it? When I took a shower, the small space made me feel like I might be told by the guard outside, "Time's up, get out!" In the morning, I'll have some coffee. It's lukewarm machine coffee. The beans are decent, so no complaints. It's average for hotel coffee. If it's not a high-class hotel, it's a bit lacking. Crossing the Kushiro River, if it's not high class, then it's a bit of a letdown.

I visited after 8:00 PM and was informed that they serve Ezo deer curry in the lounge. There is free curry available, but only in half size. Regular size and curry with toppings are available for a fee. The prices are average considering it's in a hotel, around 1500 yen. I thought deer wouldn't have much of a distinctive taste, but it surprisingly packs a punch. It's cooked with wine and spices, yet the flavor stands out. It goes well with red wine. For those with preferences, trying the half size first might be a safe choice.

Very good hotel with high satisfaction. At first, I was impressed by the Western breakfast, but after staying multiple times, I got tired of it. However, on my recent stay, it still received high ratings. The atmosphere is calm. Guests have access to a lounge with free drinks, including wine. Night snacks like deer meat curry are also available for free, although I have not tried it. During check-in, they asked me to choose my breakfast option from a variety of choices, including Japanese, Western, seafood bowl, and beef steak bowl. This time, I chose the seafood bowl. You also have to decide on the timing in advance. The salad, drinks, and desserts are self-service. Overall, there were no significant changes in the content. I noticed that the sparkling wine was no longer available. The seafood bowl consisted of vinegared rice and a variety of seafood like salmon, octopus, scallops, squid, tuna, crab, and a large shrimp, along with rolled omelette. There was also salmon and octopus available in the buffet corner. It's a delicious and elegant restaurant in a recommended hotel. Next time, I'll try the steak bowl.

We made a reservation for one night with breakfast included. After 7pm, guests can enjoy deer meat curry in the lounge. The hotel's curry with deer meat was delicious. For breakfast, you can choose from Japanese and Western options. We tried Japanese and Western, but the Western breakfast was recommended. The uni omelette and stylishly presented appetizer plate with crab, salmon, and other items were delicious. This hotel, which is known for hosting weddings, offers traditional hotel dishes including the curry. It's a good choice for a one-night stay during a Hokkaido tour where meals tend to be plentiful. There is also a buffet available with salads, octopus and salmon sashimi, and several other dishes. The quality is similar to an airline lounge. The dessert buffet is recommended, especially the pudding. The cleanliness of the rooms and the convenient location were also satisfying.

I treated myself to a little luxury by enjoying a 90-minute all-you-can-eat dinner at a hotel for 3,300 yen, with an additional 600 yen for all-you-can-drink soft drinks. I am in Kushiro on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, all the restaurants I had planned to have dinner at have closed early, so I ended up checking into a hotel. They told me they had prepared New Year's Eve soba, so I decided to have that. To get to the bustling area of Machihiro, I had to cross the long Heimai Bridge over the Kushiro River. Luckily, a fierce storm was raging, so I was relieved not to have to walk across the bridge. Due to the bad weather, my plans to enjoy the night streets of Kushiro were ruined, but the hotel's response helped ease my hunger. I spent the evening drinking wine in the guest lounge. It was nice to have free wine, which is not something you see often. They also served venison curry, which is apparently a nightly treat. The venison was tender and delicious. The next morning, it was clear and I was able to see a beautiful sunrise over the Kushiro River. Breakfast was included in the plan. I chose the Japanese breakfast option, which included a choice of white rice, brown rice, or porridge. I had organic Nanatsuboshi brown rice from Niki, grilled salmon, Kushiro herb omelette, and a vegetable miso soup. I also had steamed ham and vegetable seiro. This is a story from May 2019. I live in Kushiro and I don't think many people from here stay at local hotels, but I do sometimes. Even at local hotels, you can feel like you're on a sightseeing trip when you stay. This time, Kushiro Century Castle Hotel was cheap. I heard that the breakfast was good, so I was interested. The view from here is nice. On this day, after having dinner at Suehiro (around 9 pm), I used a free drink voucher at the lounge bar and toasted with a highball. I also got to enjoy venison curry for free, which was delicious and unforgettable. The breakfast tasted homemade and every dish was delicious, making me full from the morning. If it's cheap again, I'd like to stay at this hotel again.

This hotel has a wonderful breakfast, so whenever I come to Kushiro, I stay at this hotel. They serve pot-au-feu, potage, assorted appetizers, and bread on the table. You can choose from various items at the buffet, and the desserts such as pudding, almond jelly, and cake are luxurious from the morning. They also have champagne! They offer acai drinks and yogurt drinks, so the drink options are also great. It's recommended to enjoy delicious food in Kushiro at night and have a luxurious breakfast at the hotel in the morning.

This is a business trip to Kushiro. I have stayed here many times. It's one of my favorites. However, to get to the downtown area of Suehiro, you have to cross the Heiwa Bridge in front of the hotel, which can be a hassle. Especially in winter. One of the best things about this hotel is the breakfast. You can choose between Western or Japanese breakfast when you check in. I always end up choosing Western, but finally tried the Japanese breakfast! It was huge! You can choose from three types of rice, and I asked for less brown rice because I knew the portions would be big. In addition to the set meal, you can also have salad and dessert. I can never finish it all. I'm sorry. I have some time, so I'll drink coffee leisurely while checking reviews, even though it's tough, but I'll definitely have the pudding at the end. Another favorite point is that there is no hot spring, but there is a bath salt buffet where you can blend different types of bath salts and enjoy it every time. The bedside outlets are also convenient. I'll definitely stay here again.

I have been going to Kushiro for 10 years. I have almost conquered all the hotels, but I had never made a reservation to cross the Nusamai Bridge. After joining the Century Royal group in Sapporo a few years ago, I finally crossed the Nusamai Bridge at the third hotel. It's a pretty nice hotel! It feels like they renovated it well. Breakfast is served under the popular name of the Uyoy Terrace, which is also available at Century Royal. The Japanese breakfast I chose was great. Additionally, there are salads, seaweed, natto, desserts, etc. in a buffet style. This is great! Recommended hotel.

All Western-style rooms are equipped with "Grand Suites" from the "Slumberland" company, which is a supplier to the British Royal Family.
