It feels oddly calming. On the right side from the entrance, there are Japanese sweets, on the front are Western sweets, and on the left are Hidaka yokan. There were about 20 varieties in total. Please note that there is no eat-in space.(Food) I purchased the following sweets this time, so I will review them.☆Sealand (105 yen) This is one of the shop's signature products. Pumpkin seeds and Hidaka kelp are kneaded into the crispy cookie dough. The texture is addictive, so be sure to try it.☆Makiba no Asa (105 yen) It's like a milk steamed bun. It's easy to eat without any strong flavors.☆Hoshi no Yume (105 yen) A cupcake with a whole chestnut inside. The flavor of the chestnut permeates the dough, enhancing the deliciousness. It's a mysterious product sold at this price.☆Kombu Pie (100 yen) A sweet with white bean paste mixed with kelp wrapped in pie crust. The smooth kelp-flavored paste and the harmony of the crispy and moist pie are irresistible.☆Hidaka Yokan [White Bean Paste] A refreshing yokan with a prominent kelp flavor. It's not overly sweet and very easy to eat. It's a great choice for family gatherings or tea parties with friends. By the way, if the sticker labeled "Hidaka Kombu" is gold, it's "white bean paste," and if it's silver, it's "red bean paste," so please be careful not to make a mistake.(Others) Since the store does not have a parking lot, it is recommended to use a nearby parking lot. Also, it seems that they offer online shopping on the store's website, so if you're interested, it might be worth checking out the website. I hope this review can be of help to you.

In the town of Urakawa, there is a confectionery shop in the downtown area that focuses mainly on sweets and does not sell bread like nearby shops such as "Tedori". They offer a variety of sweets, with a larger selection of traditional Japanese sweets like mochi and yokan, although they also have Western-style sweets like roll cakes. Among the sweets I tried, the "Swirl" was particularly delicious. It consists of a very thin castella cake rolled with sweet bean paste in a swirl pattern, with a good balance of filling and cake, and a slightly sweet taste that is quite tasty. There were other items like cherry blossom rice cakes and nightingale rice cakes that caught my interest, but I refrained from buying in bulk as I wouldn't be able to finish them all at once. The official website also offers online sales of baked goods and other items that have a longer shelf life. The shop itself is not very spacious, with a simple and minimalist interior design that matches the unassuming exterior. There are no unnecessary displays, and the focus is solely on the taste of the sweets.

I have visited Urakawa many times, but it was only when a friend recommended it that I first visited this shop and was amazed to find such delicious sweets in such a place. Since then, I have visited several times. I haven't tried everything, but the recommended souvenir is "Yushun Ryujou." The package has a design that reflects the horse breeding area, and it is reasonably priced at around 100 yen per piece. The taste is a crispy Western confectionery with almond, caramel, and chocolate flavors, which was well received by my colleagues to whom I brought it as a souvenir. I also bought "Charcoal Roasted Coffee" (a coffee-flavored madeleine-like confectionery) for my own snack, and it was also very delicious. These can be purchased individually. However, the staff at the shop may not be very friendly. They may close around 6:00 PM, so be careful if you visit in the evening.
