"I was able to go to 'Ramen Yakiniku Yako' with my wife in Asahikawa. We were in Kitami and were planning to head to a sports festival, but then I got a message saying 'you don't need to come.' Unfortunately, I won't be able to see the sports festival this year. It was postponed to the next day, but I have a golf appointment, so it's impossible for me to go. If the golf gets canceled due to rain, then I can go, but if it's raining enough to cancel golf, then the sports festival won't happen either. When I told my wife that I wanted to eat ramen, she asked, 'The one in Hokkaido?' When I said 'Asahikawa,' she got really excited and asked, 'Asahikawa~??' in a high-pitched voice I've never heard before. I didn't expect this reaction, but it was as I imagined. I drove us to Asahikawa, and my wife chose the ramen shop quickly. The place had a counter and a raised seating area. As soon as we opened the door, we were directed to the raised seating area. The way it was said was cold, but it was a kind way of saying that it's okay to sit there. I don't really understand, but it's like Koyonaku-san's style. There were four seats at the counter, and four tables in the raised seating area. Another solo customer came to the raised seating area. There was a TV for the lady, and the volume was high. Even with the loud TV, we could hear the voices of the two older men at the counter. The counter had a young man waiting for orders. We already knew what we wanted to order. I chose soy sauce ramen, and my wife chose miso ramen. The two older men ordered ramen and started slurping as soon as they finished eating. After eating, they left. The soy sauce ramen was 600 yen, and the miso ramen was 700 yen. According to my wife, 'the salt ramen is the top menu,' but 'it's not that delicious according to reviews.' It was the third menu item, and the information was vague. When the ramen arrived, it was different from what my wife had described. It was delicious. The noodles were from Kato, and they were tasty. After finishing the noodles, we were ready to leave. The miso ramen had a strong garlic flavor. The Asahikawa noodles didn't seem to match the miso flavor, but it was delicious. The soup was tasty, and the vegetables added a nice crunch. The vegetables seemed to lower the temperature of the soup. The menma had a slight flavor, like store-bought. The chashu had a nice texture, and it was served without any visible fat. My wife also enjoyed the miso ramen and rated it 4.0, considering the price. I usually go for soy sauce ramen, but if I had to consider the price, I'd go for the miso ramen. The soy sauce ramen was not bad, but the miso ramen was better. My wife also felt that the miso ramen was delicious. It was an unusual 4.0 rating from her. The softness of the noodles was noticeable, but overall, it was a good experience."
