Can I introduce this restaurant here? It seems like they are only open occasionally, possibly due to the pandemic. They mainly operate by reservation for regular customers. However, it's a really great and lovely place that I want to share with everyone. It's a French restaurant that only serves wine - no beer available! They don't understand "starting with a beer first." You can only order wine by the bottle! On the day I visited, the restaurant was only open for reserved customers, but luckily, the owner remembered someone who had visited a few times with me and agreed to serve us. The meal was omakase style. One of the reservations requested caviar pasta, so we were also served that dish. The owner warned that it would be a bit more expensive, but we gladly accepted. The cold pasta with caviar was exquisite. They also served us a great wine that suited our taste. The prices are fair for the quality of food and wine you receive. It was a slightly luxurious dinner, but the food and wine were top-notch!

Limited time offer of pasta salad with sea bream and sudachi citrus, with a drink included - what a surprise! The salad had grapes, prosciutto, and purple sweet potato, and it was delicious. I'm so full now! The pasta paired well with the sea bream. The staff were very kind and helpful.

The master's creations are always delicious, that's it. It's been a while since I visited, this time without wine. Normally, I would make a reservation for the evening and enjoy wine while chatting. But here, I always rely on their lunch. The dishes they serve for dinner are of high quality. Each dish has a good presentation and tastes delicious. It's truly appreciated that they are doing their best during this pandemic.

Catalog {079} Title is the same as before haha Due to the pandemic situation, it's a pop-up style operation. Thank you for opening it. Please choose two out of the three options. Sorry, we removed the chicken option, m(_ _)m Chicken is the classic choice for curry, right? To those who are angry, I understand m(_ _)m We couldn't remove beef as it's the most delicious, but we surprised you with pork curry. It has a unique flavor profile that can't be described in one word. You won't know until you try it. The perfect balance that pairs well with wine. You might think drinking a whole bottle with curry is too much, but we've managed to consume it. Looking forward to the next opportunity m(_ _)m

Had dinner with my partner for the first time at this place! I had the demi-glace sauce hamburger, while my partner had the curry sauce hamburger and beef udon. Although this is a wine bar, they also serve lunch. I usually find demi-glace sauce too heavy and it gives me heartburn, but the one here was rich without being overwhelming, and had the perfect amount of acidity - just the way I like it! The hamburgers were delicious without any unpleasant smell. The curry sauce was also exquisite. The beef udon in elegant broth with seasoned beef, fried tofu, tempura crumbs, and green onions was so comforting. The owner was also lovely, and my partner and I have definitely decided to come back again. Delicious hamburgers, thank you for the meal!

During the daytime, this restaurant is bustling with customers, including tourists. The owner seems very busy as they are the only staff working. I wanted to eat okonomiyaki, but it seems impossible. I ended up ordering curry hamburger, which was prepared in advance. I enjoyed it with white wine at this wine bar. It was a Sunday afternoon, and I was the first customer, so my order came out quickly. The curry was adjusted to pair well with the wine, which was a red wine from Southern France and a local wine. It may seem odd to eat curry with wine, but it was surprisingly good. I still want to try the okonomiyaki though. I wonder if they would make it for me if I call ahead during a less busy time. Interestingly, most of the customers were Korean, but there were also those who knew about wine, creating a nice atmosphere. It was a relaxing brunch in the countryside.

I'm not the master, haha. On this day, I was discharged from the hospital and had a very healthy meal in the morning, like porridge and vegetable side dishes. But it wasn't enough. I hopped on a bus in front of the hospital and returned to my hometown (about 30 minutes away). When I arrived at the restaurant, it was still being prepared. The master was eating rice in the meantime. I watched from behind! When it was open, I placed my order. I ordered the hamburger steak with a mark next to it, so there was no mistake. There were two types, curry hamburger steak and regular, I chose the regular one. Then, a demi-glace sauce hamburger steak arrived. It was not a hamburger patty, but a thick steak. On top, there was a sunny-side-up egg. There were clouds covering the mountain top, with a halo of light shining down. Let's climb to the summit! I enjoyed the main dish, as well as the salad and pickles. Everything the master makes is delicious! (I want more, please!) Can I really eat such a hearty meal while still recovering? And it's not even lunchtime yet... I convinced myself that this was a reward for enduring so far. Sorry for barging in before the restaurant opened, master. It was delicious, thank you! ===========

I had a full course meal in Asahikawa, then took a train back to the countryside. When I arrived, I noticed the lights were on at the restaurant, so I decided to go in. It felt like I had walked into a family gathering, with the regular customers and the master enjoying dinner together. They welcomed me to join them, so I sat down. I had only eaten a slice of Camembert cheese earlier, so I asked for more food. I had two glasses of red wine and we chatted for over two hours. Eventually, feeling tired, I said my goodbyes and left. I heard that young people from Korea come at night, eat only hamburgers, and leave. Apparently, the curry hamburger was the most delicious. I wish I had tried it too!

The wine bar has a small and clean entrance, making it a place that is not easy to enter without any guidance. Surprisingly, they serve udon for lunch. My husband had been there a few times and I was eager to try it out. We went there by chance as another nearby restaurant was too crowded. The parking lot is located at the back of the shop with a few spaces. If you park at the back, you can enter through the back door. The L-shaped counter is elegantly arranged, and the bright interior with tables around it. I decided to try the udon and gyudon set, while my husband ordered okonomiyaki. He chose the Hiroshima-style with all the toppings. The process was visible from the counter, with the preparation of udon and warming up the gyudon pot. Meanwhile, the teppanyaki was progressing in Hiroshima-style. The Hiroshima-style has more ingredients and steps, requiring a bit of skill when flipping. The process is more elaborate compared to the Osaka-style. While we were eating, a customer ordered a hamburger. The chef cut the vegetables for the side dish and formed the hamburger on the teppanyaki grill. Multiple tasks were being carried out simultaneously. The udon was ready, and the mini gyudon was served. The Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki was then cooked on the teppanyaki. It was interesting to see the different processes being carried out efficiently. The udon had a Kansai-style seasoning and was comforting. The gyudon had slightly thicker slices of beef compared to chain restaurants, with a good balance of fat. The pickled ginger complemented it well. The Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki was delicious, with sweet cabbage. The place also had a wine bar industry magazine, featuring "Wine and Okonomiyaki," showcasing its unique offerings. Though it's a wine bar, you should also enjoy wine with your meal, but then you might not want to leave (laughs).

Um, this is a wine bar. The wines that go well with okonomiyaki are Tempranillo, Syrah, and Grenache. I'm not drinking though, haha. The master is preparing the dishes as usual, one by one. I think the master could make more stylish dishes, but anything made by him should be delicious. And indeed, it is delicious. I like the plumpness without any thickness or edges. The cabbage...so tasty. The desire to tilt a glass at night is growing in my heart. He handles both Japanese and Western cuisine splendidly, but still finds okonomiyaki challenging. If he just slices the cheese, that's enough. Not just delicious, but also thank you for the time.

I went out for lunch because I had some free time. It's a wine bar, but they also serve food during lunchtime. The door was open, and the breeze inside felt nice. They weren't serving cold udon yet, so I tried their recommended dish, meat udon. Eating udon at the stylish counter was a great experience. It was delicious! That's all I have to say about it. But when they placed a bottle of wine in front of me, I felt like having a drink. It seemed like it would go well with the udon (lol). If I didn't have work, I might have seriously considered ordering some. I feel like having a drink in the afternoon now. Oh, I know, I just need to take the day off work! This is a rare restaurant in the local area where you can enjoy gourmet food. Along with the master's smile, of course ^^

Before October 2016, while eating at a sushi restaurant in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, I met a cheerful man sitting next to me. We ended up drinking together and he told me that he had moved from Ehime to Biei. After a few years, I visited Biei again and decided to stop by his restaurant. I was worried that it might be closed since it was late, but it was still open probably because the regular customers were relaxing inside. The restaurant had a calm interior with a lovely wine cellar stocked with plenty of wine.

2016.04 After days of missing each other, we finally managed to meet up. It's been a while~♪ Today's white wine was from the south of France. It wasn't too acidic, not too sharp, and had a nice sweetness making it easy to drink. I'll have another glass. The appetizer platter was high-grade. The freshly cut cheese was delicious, as well as the raw ham and sashimi... Mmm after the tuna, the standout dish of the day was white asparagus. It seemed to be locally sourced from Kyushu. Despite the earthquake, it gave me a boost of energy. I switched to red wine, but wine is not something you just drink freely. You need to savor and appreciate the well-aged ones. It's a moment to share a drink with the master. For the finish, we had udon, and Burgundy Pinot paired well with the rich broth flavor. Don't take the two glasses too seriously. It's delicious, trust me. ^^ 2015.06 The dishes made by the master are very delicious, but since he runs the place alone, when the restaurant is full, he can't really chat with customers. I want to talk... (laughs) While sales are important when running a business, I want to enjoy talking about wine, so I'll refrain from making difficult orders. Eating baked cheese and bread, appetizers, and the bowl of food the master made as a staff meal... I forget the passing of time with regular customers. The master says that being alone in winter is lonely. It might be true. There's nothing in this town during winter. It would be nice if we could liven things up on Jmty when tourists aren't around. While saying that, I've been neglecting this place (bitter smile). Apparently, bringing your own wine is okay, but it's a bit presumptuous (^^; I want to open a good bottle and enjoy it slowly.

There is a beautiful village called Biei, located 20 minutes by car from Asahikawa Airport. It has been certified as "the most beautiful village in Japan." Near Biei Station, there is a wine bar called "Venveil" owned by Mr. Kondo, who came from Ehime. He used to work in a non-food industry, but as a deep wine collector, he opened a wine bar. The surprising thing is that the French-style dishes served there pair well with wine and taste delicious. They also offer glass wines, but you can share a bottle of wine with the owner. The bread served is also delicious, baked in a wood-fired oven from "Nikibi no Neko" in Biei. Mr. Kondo is not only catering to tourists but also educating the local community about wine culture. Even if you go alone, you can easily join in the conversation and have a great evening.
