I changed my plans for a business trip to Hokkaido from staying 2 nights in Susukino to just 1 night in Chitose due to unexpected circumstances. I had originally planned to visit places like Takohai and Ramen Jingisukan in Susukino, where I have acquaintances, but had to explore an izakaya in Chitose instead. It turned out to be a unique experience as I struggled to find the entrance in a blizzard and ended up entering through the hotel connected to the izakaya. Despite feeling a bit awkward at a table surrounded by a group of people, I enjoyed ordering and savoring various dishes like beef liver, hormone fried chicken, marinated tuna, and homemade ikura rice bowl. The hormone fried chicken was particularly outstanding and made me crave for more. Overall, the flavors were spot on, especially the seafood, and I was impressed by being able to enjoy Torikai after a long time. The only downside was that the portion of drinks felt small, so opting for a drink all you can option would be better. The food was delicious, but the prices were a bit high, so it's recommended to visit with a group to fully enjoy the experience. Thank you for the memories of Hokkaido.

On June 14, 2022, I had some business in Chitose and stayed overnight. I visited this shop near the hotel. The shop called "Gorilla" is also located in Susukino. They have a wide variety of seafood, and I heard that sea urchin is fresh at this time of year, so I ordered sea urchin sashimi. It was delicious without any fishy smell or peculiar taste. I also ordered the crab shell dish for an additional 300 yen, which allows you to increase the amount of crab meat. The taste was average, but considering the price and the amount of crab, I think it was well worth it. I enjoyed these dishes with hot sake at "Suisukei" and was very satisfied! I rarely have the opportunity to drink in Chitose, but I would like to visit this shop again next time I come! Thank you for the meal!

The restaurant is located on the first floor of a business hotel, and there are many business travelers and tourists, but not many locals like us. They also have counter seats, so it's easy to enjoy a drink alone.

On Thursday night, the state of emergency was lifted, so my wife and I went out to eat for the first time in a while. By 7pm, the restaurant was already packed with a group of business travelers. There were no tourists in sight. We sat at the counter and ordered tofu, tuna, beef tongue, and sushi. Everything was delicious. If it were a bit cheaper, I would consider coming here once a month. That's how good it was.

This is a company farewell party. It's a tough time, but we couldn't avoid having it. It was tough, but we managed to pull it off. It was fun after all. This time, the plan was all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink. I started drinking heavily from the beginning, so I only ate a little, but the food was quite delicious. The dishes were well-balanced with a mix of Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, which we enjoyed. There were a few dishes not shown in the photos. Thanks to the organizer for all the hard work.

The izakaya on the first floor of Queens Hotel is beautiful and stylish, with a comfortable atmosphere. The specialty Gorilla Mori, Salt Zangi, and Curry Ramen were delicious. They also offer all-you-can-drink options including Kubota (sake), which was surprising. The Hormone Karaage was surprisingly tasty as well. The Crab Zosui for the finale was also delicious. I think this izakaya is a hidden gem. I would like to come back again.

We used it for a farewell party at the company. Due to our business relationship with the First Hotel and the decision that my boss's transfer would be held there, we chose to have the farewell party at a restaurant affiliated with the First Hotel. It was a 3,500 yen per person course with all-you-can-drink option. The first dish was boiled shrimp and Chinese-style glass noodles. We went with 9 people, and the dishes were served on two large plates for 4 and 5 people respectively. It was a self-serving system where you could take as much as you liked. The next dish was a sashimi assortment. The tuna was very delicious. It was soft and tender without any sinew, almost like chu-toro. Kitchen Gorilla is known for their oysters, so steamed oysters were served next. Unfortunately, I can no longer eat oysters, so my portion was gladly taken by the department head. The pork sauté with egg sauce on top was a favorite of mine, with thick slices of meat and a strong garlic flavor. Each portion was quite large, and by this point, I was already quite full. The salad with minced meat added to it was also very filling. The dish of three types of shrimp for comparison was a special service from the manager. He even came to greet us, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I am grateful that we were able to make the department head enjoy the evening and have a good time. I would like to use this restaurant again in the future.

In late October, on a certain evening, I had drinks at the "Gorilla Kitchen Gorilla Chitose Store" on the 1st floor of the Queens Hotel in Sapporo, Chitose City. We had sashimi, among other dishes, as part of a course that cost 3,500 yen. The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place.
