Let's move on to the second takeout place! Following the nearby "Ha○ta" bakery, we have arrived at "Cyan" bakery! The opening hours here are a bit later, starting at 14:00 on weekdays, but luckily on Saturdays, they open at 11:00, which is convenient for me as I can only stroll around this area on Saturdays. The reason I don't take the train to Sapporo alone on Sundays is that I don't want to carry over fatigue to work the next day. I want to enjoy the night to the fullest! Before visiting this bakery, I went to a bread shop that was not as spacious, but Cyan bakery also has limited space, allowing only up to 5 people inside at a time. They offer a variety of bread such as croissants, salt bread, Asparagus Bacon Epi, Shiso Mochi Mentaiko, melon bread, various cream puffs, several types of milk French bread, and Danish pastries. They also have egg sandwiches and side dishes in the showcase! Although I couldn't resist the temptation of the 350 yen hamburger due to the travel time, I was fascinated by the bread selection. The cafe on the second floor, "Buzz Cafe," seems to be closed, which is a shame as I remember seeing it featured on TV. Today's standing members are: - Waffle (¥220) - Pudding Melon Bread (¥350) - Pistachio Cream Bread (¥300) The waffle has a crispy texture similar to Belgian waffles, with a slight chewiness reminiscent of American waffles. It's a nice balance between the two. It tastes delicious on its own with a hint of sugar sweetness, and it's also great lightly toasted with butter. The Pudding Melon Bread has a clever idea of putting pudding inside the cookie dough. I thought about freezing it for the next day, but since you can't freeze pudding, I decided to refrigerate it. I tried reheating half of it, and it brought out the sweetness and crispy texture of the cookie dough even more! The Pistachio Cream Bread has a chewy texture, with a strong sweetness but a subtle pistachio flavor. It has a gentle sweetness that is reminiscent of zunda paste. Most bakeries are designed for same-day consumption, but Cyan bakery, which utilizes natural yeast, recommends enjoying their bread the day after, which is quite unusual. I plan to revisit and take out their fresh donuts at a later time! Thank you for the meal.
