Located in a residential area along Kameida Park, this restaurant has a parking space for 4 cars. On this day, with the temperature rising to 31°C, the interior of the restaurant felt like a scorching hell, even hotter than outside. There were hand fans on the tables, but unfortunately, there were only 2 fans for the counter seats and table seats, so the air circulation was not great. There were 2 groups of customers when we arrived, with 3 more groups coming in later, ranging from elderly couples to families with young children. The restaurant has 4 counter seats, 2 tables for 4 people, and 1 table for 6 people, as well as 4 small raised seating areas that give a cozy feel, which might be nice for families with children.
We ordered the "Salted Pork Rich Ramen" for 850 yen. The noodles were slightly thick and straight, with toppings such as dried wakame seaweed, menma, bean sprouts, green onions, and a little bit of onions. The chashu was large, tender, and thick. Both the noodles and the soup were delicious, but the saltiness became overpowering after a few bites. Adding the soup base made it better, according to my husband. He also mentioned that the saltiness had mellowed out since the opening of the restaurant. He finished the "Special Soy Sauce Ramen" without adding extra soup base.
We also tried the "Pan-Fried Dumplings" for 490 yen, which were juicy and filled with meat juices. The filling of the dumplings was a bit bland, so we recommend making and using the dumpling sauce. The "Shiraoi Beef Tendon Stew Curry" for 390 yen in a mini size was spicy with a good amount of spices. The curry was tasty, but the rice itself was not very soft. When served together with the ramen, the rice seemed to have absorbed some of the curry sauce, making it softer, which was a bit off-putting for me.
Overall, the depth of the bowls made it a bit difficult for women to eat the curry comfortably. Many people were ordering the dipping noodles, so I plan to try that along with the boiled dumplings next time.
