Visit date: Monday, March 14, 2022, around 12:00 PM. Located a 2-minute walk from Goryokaku Koen-mae Station, this restaurant offers a casual dining experience with steaks and hamburgers. When staying in Hakodate, where seafood is abundant, sometimes you may feel like having a steak to change things up! This steak and hamburger specialty shop is very conveniently located, with a woman traveling alone seen carrying her suitcase. The restaurant has parking space for 6 cars at the back. The first floor has counter seats, while the second and third floors offer spacious table and sofa seats. The casual atmosphere allows you to watch the cooking process from the counter seats on the first floor.

Choose your preferred cut from the three options above, with a 200g steak. I chose the American Steak.
The meal began with a mini salad, followed by a colorful sizzling hot iron plate with the steak. The steak was cut into easy-to-eat pieces from the start, accompanied by butter, garlic chips, and lemon. The side dishes included eggplant, broccoli, carrot, potato, and Napolitan. I enjoyed tasting the steak with onion sauce on the iron plate and garlic soy sauce in a separate dish. The meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The garlic rice in the set was also satisfying, with a strong garlic flavor. The rice was fragrant and fluffy, with the sweetness of the egg and the accent of green onions. Squeezing lemon over the rice added freshness. The Napolitan was a nostalgic dish with a rich flavor and a good amount of noodles. The miso soup with seaweed was also delicious.
Overall, Hige no Concept offers a slightly luxurious lunch experience, perfect for indulging in once a week. The value for money is reasonable, and I would love to visit monthly! The main branch is located in Sapporo. Payment with PayPay is possible. Instagram @moritapan7
