Located on Nagano's main street, this is not a restaurant but a store selling natural foods and miscellaneous goods. As this is a food review site, I will focus on food items found in the store:
- Rice flour cookies (Maple) - 388 yen
- Luxurious jelly (Mikan) - 321 yen
I found some affordable cookies made without wheat, eggs, or dairy products, using domestically produced rice flour. The maple flavor provides a gentle sweetness, and the texture is similar to a Japanese snack called "Boro," with a slightly chewy feel.
As it is summer, I also bought some jelly. While they had peach, apple, and raspberry flavors available, I chose mikan (mandarin orange) in the end. It had chunky mikan pieces, combining the citrusy tang of mikan with the sweetness of jelly. They use agave syrup as a low GI natural sweetener, making it suitable for those with allergies.
The store is managed by a kind female owner. Thank you for the meal.
