During my revisit to Yakumo in September 2020, I visited Ecoop, a store I used to frequent when I lived here. Along the national highway, there are MaxValu (Aeon) and Lals (Arks) stores, but Ecoop, located within walking distance from my old home, was the most convenient for me. They have a wide variety of products typical of Yakumo, making it easy to purchase local items. I always used to buy milk from "Motoyama Farm" here before heading back to Sapporo, but unfortunately, it was sold out this time. I ended up just selling them empty bottles from two years ago. You can also purchase sweets from a local confectionery in Yakumo town, as well as products from the local soy sauce brewery "Hattori." A must-try in Yakumo is the soul food "Tenkama" from Yakumo Ochibe. The people of Yakumo love this dish, and it is a staple at BBQs and regular gatherings. Currently, it is made by "Kajii Kamaboko Store" in Hakodate. While Otaru's kamaboko is also delicious, this Tenkama is exceptional. If you ever find yourself in Yakumo, be sure to try this dish.

I visited Yakumo-cho on a business trip to buy some alcohol and snacks. I couldn't find what I was looking for, but this time I bought 'The Premium Malt's 6-pack', 'Cheese Sticks', and 'Chinese Trio Set (Tekka, Negitoro, Salmon)'. The Cheese Sticks are delicious, the cheese is amazing! It goes well with the beer. I would like to visit again to buy more. Thank you for the meal!
