Limited time offer at Yamagoka Family: "Shrimp Salt Tsukemen" with a topping of bamboo shoots. The noodles are firm, the flavor and oil are average. Even the regular size portion has a surprising amount of noodles. The dipping sauce has a strong shrimp flavor, which is good, but it's too salty. There is also a lot of oil, and if you don't fully dip the noodles, only the oil sticks to them. The thick seaweed was delicious. Next time, I plan to ask for less oil and a lighter flavor.

The limited-time shrimp salt dipping noodles at the 96th station, with half rice included for 1100 yen, are a meal that can be enjoyed with just this one dish. The 150 JAF now comes with menma instead of egg. The whole wheat noodles are shiny and good, but there is a lot of noodles compared to ramen, so I personally get tired of the shrimp flavor quickly. I should have just gotten the ramen, as I prefer regular ramen. But I can't resist trying limited-time items as a mountaineer.

Climbing 93rd peak - Aged Miso Bean Sprout Ramen - Firm noodles, plenty of fat - JAF egg with lots of garlic
The strong acidic miso pairs well with the thick white broth, the acidity is key, it enhances the flavor. This is something I would like to see on the regular menu. The fried rice in Yoichi is also delicious.

During the New Year period, I stopped by in Yoichi Town. It was past 1 PM, but the parking lot was full. When I entered, the staff quickly guided me to an available counter seat. Before sitting down, I purchased tickets from the ticket machine. On that day, I ordered miso ramen (690 yen) and miso spicy negi ramen (810 yen). I saw a JAF member benefit at the entrance, so I requested extra chashu. It had been a few years since I last visited Yamakoya, but I found the panels between the counter seats to be nice. The staff's service was also polite. The miso spicy negi ramen I ordered with less oil was different from my past experiences at Yamakoya, but it was light and enjoyable. The generous amount of negi was also good. I had a delicious meal. Thank you.

This was my first time mountain climbing in Yoichi. The farthest mountain from Sapporo is probably Abashiri Mountain. When I used to live here, Wakkanai Mountain didn't exist. Rural mountains surprisingly have a good image. If you work hard, you can become the top restaurant in the area. As for my impression of Yoichi Mountain, it was good! Maybe it was just by chance? It was quite enjoyable. If it's good again next time I visit, it's definitely confirmed.

It's scorching hot outside, but it's nice and cool inside the restaurant. This means you can still enjoy hot ramen. However, instead of ramen, I had the spicy drooling pork-style maze-soba with a medium serving. There's no soup, but when you mix it all together, steam rises and you get a piping hot, rich, spicy dish with a gooey texture on the outside... but that's what makes it good! It's a limited-time menu item. Thank you for the meal! (^_^)

In the middle of the night, I was abnormally hungry and really wanted to eat at Yamaoka-ya... and then in the morning, I wanted to fly a drone... I came up with a bold plan to fulfill all my wishes, which was to eat the special miso at Yamaoka-ya in Yoichi, and then head to Cape Kamui. When I arrived at the Yoichi store, Sapporo was in a state of emergency with shortened business hours everywhere, so I felt like I had finally reached the Heavenly Kingdom in Journey to the West. I was so happy that I almost started singing and dancing like Taro from Strange Tales of the Imperial Court. I hit the staff members and smashed the ticket machine, snatched the special miso ticket and a service ticket, added some white leeks from the kitchen, and finally ate the special miso I had been longing for. Then, as planned, I filmed Cape Kamui with a drone and returned home. The end.

Ah, it's been a month since I last visited Yamaoka-ya♡ This time, I decided on the Negi Shio (Green Onion Salt) ramen with added spinach for a healthier option♪ I've been craving it so much, finally got to satisfy my craving at Yamaoka-ya. This time, I went to the Yoichi branch! As I entered the restaurant, the usual aroma filled the air. However, it wasn't as strong as before, maybe because I ordered it with less oil or I've gotten used to it? The reduced oil made the soup taste refreshing with a clean aftertaste. Adding spinach increased the volume and satisfaction level significantly. It was delicious again today! Thank you for the meal♪

Yoshibi store for the second time. This time I had the usual spicy miso dipping noodles with a seasoned boiled egg topping, and I also added seasoned white leeks ♡ I think I've always had spicy miso here, I never tried anything else. It never gets old. Also, the service from the staff was really pleasant this time!! They noticed it was cold under the air conditioning and turned it off, and after I finished eating, they stopped their work, made eye contact, and said "Thank you for coming" with a smile. It's the little things like this that make you feel warm inside. I will definitely go back again ☺️☺️

After sweating at the neighboring "Tsurukame Onsen", I wanted to go for some cold beer and gyoza, but couldn't finish it all, so I opted for the recommended Stamina Ramen instead. It was not as spicy as it looked. I added a little extra garlic. The punchy soup was addicting. Overall, it had a good balance. The chashu was slightly dry, but that might be a personal preference. I was dining alone so I sat at the counter, but the spacious table seats looked comfortable for a leisurely meal. Thank you for the meal!

Climbing 92nd Peak - Spicy Miso, extra oil, firm noodles - The JAF egg must have made the noodles chewy - The fried rice was not burnt, the oil and salt were just right and delicious. Mount Yoichi is excellent.

For the second time, I still think Yamaokaya in Yoichi is a top-tier store with rich and delicious flavors. The limited-time spicy stamina ramen with firm noodles, fried garlic, and spicy kick is great. The flavor is intense, so I highly recommend ordering rice on the side.

For those who love tonkotsu, I recommend the Premium Salt Tonkotsu! I always order it with firm noodles, regular broth, or extra rich broth! The service is quick, and the food is delicious! What do you recommend from Yamaokaya?

After visiting the Nikka Whisky factory, we had lunch at Yamayoshiya. We ordered the popular premium salt tonkotsu ramen. It was delicious, rich, and easy to eat without any unpleasant smell. It had plenty of back fat, which I really liked.
