There are two counter seats with toddler chairs and elderly chairs. We had appetizers like squid and green onion with vinegar miso dressing, grilled pork tongue, marinated tuna, flounder with kelp, grilled chicken skewers, chicken meatballs, and chicken wings. We also had plenty of drinks. Despite being in the countryside, I think the meat dishes here are quite good! The owner is also skilled in home cooking.

If it's not Manpou for the second time, they are open for business. There is nothing else like it in town, so the residents would be in trouble without it. I tried a variety of dishes, which I will show in the photos. I also drank a lot of alcohol.

Welcome.---------- September 2016 ----------Today I came to eat, so I ordered oolong tea (= ´∀´)ﾉ凵゛. The first thing that came out was octopus with shredded nagaimo (Chinese yam). When asked "Meat or fish?", I replied "Pork!" and got pork skewers grilled. The pork skewers were wide and juicy, with a meaty and flavorful sweetness from the sauce that made it satisfying even with just one skewer. The restaurant was as usual, with a cozy atmosphere, and it's the only izakaya in Niki. ---------- August 2016 ----------Heading straight from JR Niki Station towards R5, I was supposed to go home, but I was drawn in. As I opened the door, I was greeted with the usual scene at the counter. The master and his wife warmly welcomed me with a cheerful "Welcome, come on in!" The cozy atmosphere included a raised area where groups and parties were gathered. The master's witty remarks and the wife's energetic responses created a lively and humorous atmosphere. The food was ordered by writing it on paper, and the shochu mixed with water was poured generously, with a reminder to say "stop" when you've had enough. Starting with edamame and then moving on to the pork skewers, each dish was delicious. The skewers were juicy with a sweet and salty sauce that complemented the meal perfectly. The meatballs were simple but flavorful, and the grilled seseri (chicken neck) had a nice texture and saltiness. The cold tomatoes from a local farmer were a refreshing treat, and the hokke simmered in soy sauce was a surprise dish from the wife. The steamed kabocha (Japanese pumpkin) was sweet and flavorful, and the grilled eggplant was soft and packed with sweetness. The liver skewers were generously sized and had a nice balance of flavor. The regular customers, many of whom were local farmers, often shared their produce with everyone, creating a sense of community. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, thanks to the generosity and hospitality of the regulars and the master and his wife. The food was delicious, and I left feeling grateful for the experience.
