I was drawn in by the sign saying they have started serving chilled Chinese noodles, so I decided to give it a try. It was my first time visiting this place, a Chinese restaurant in town. The walls were filled with menu options on small strips of paper. When I entered, I was the only customer, but in the kitchen, they were busy cooking with a wok. I was surprised when the cook came back with a delivery order, seems like they also do takeout in the neighborhood. Here, chilled Chinese noodles are called "chilled salad ramen." I ordered the chilled Chinese noodles. It arrived in about 10 minutes! It had pork shabu-shabu, asparagus, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, and pickled onions with sesame dressing. (I saw on the poster on the wall that they also have soy sauce, so I wish they had asked whether I wanted soy sauce or sesame dressing when I ordered. Was it my mistake for not noticing?) Well, sesame dressing goes well with pork shabu-shabu. How about the lettuce! The asparagus is delicious. The noodles were cooked just right, not too hard. I enjoyed it, thank you. I will definitely visit again. The only downside is that they don't have a parking lot. Today, I came on a motorcycle.

Dessert Shop October 2022. What I can do now is to cooperate with food and beverage establishments while paying enough attention. Let's all work together and support each other! Today, I originally planned to go to a Chinese restaurant, but it was closed, so I went to a nearby long-established Chinese restaurant, "Hibi Meisai Chinese Dim Sum Shop." They offer takeout. The location is along Wakaba Street, near the intersection with Yayoi Street. The exterior is a two-story cream-colored building with a residential feel. Inside, there is a cozy atmosphere with one table for 7 people, two tables for 4 people, and two raised tables for 4 people. I was very interested in the meat and potato miso ramen (laughs). I ordered the Mapo Tofu Donburi for 850 yen (tax included). It arrived in about 10 minutes. I'm not a fan of spicy foods with chili peppers and spices, but for some reason, I like Sichuan pepper and mapo tofu. The freshly made mapo tofu was hot and delicious, with silky tofu and just the right amount of firmness in the sauce, with a good amount of Sichuan pepper for a delightful flavor. It also had minced meat and plenty of green onions, making it one of my favorite mapo tofu dishes. I will definitely come back for more Chinese cuisine. Thank you for the meal. Dim Sum Shop offers takeout. Business hours are 11:00-20:00. Closed on Sundays.

The ramen, yakisoba, and rice dishes all have a wide variety of menu options, but after looking at a local information magazine, I visited the restaurant with the intention of trying the Garlic Bean Sprout Ramen. However, there was no such item on the menu, and when I asked, it turned out to be a mistake in the publication. The correct name was Meat, Garlic Chive, and Bean Sprout Ramen (950 yen). The bean sprouts have a fragrant aroma, and the texture is amazing! It's so crispy! The high heat used to cook it quickly is what gives it that crispy texture. Truly the taste of the restaurant. This cannot be replicated at home. According to the information magazine, the green chili pepper and koji pickles add to the aroma, and the spiciness of the miso pickle is supposed to be an accent, but neither of them really stood out, more like an accent as mentioned. The star of this bowl is definitely the bean sprouts! There is no parking lot, only two tables and a counter. The raised seating area in the back is probably used when it's busier. I don't think they can accommodate a large number of people even if they use that space. The clientele is mainly middle-aged to elderly men, and the restaurant is run by a husband and wife, maintaining a traditional ramen shop vibe.

I visited this restaurant while out on business and decided to have lunch. I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen with Grilled Green Onions for 900 yen. Although the price may seem a bit high, the portion size was generous, and the noodles were quite substantial even with a regular serving. The cost performance wasn't bad at all. The noodles were straight and slightly thin, cooked to a soft texture. The grilled green onions were stir-fried in chili oil, similar to the ones at Misuzu Ramen. The Spicy Miso flavor looked spicy but was actually quite mild and enjoyable. With a wide variety of menu options, it seems suitable for families or groups. Thank you for the meal. I'll definitely come back again.

In November of 2018, chappytsum's wife gave birth to a child. This review is part of a series documenting the experience. After 9 hours in the hospital, the contractions were getting closer together. Chappytsum tried to help by massaging his wife's back, but she told him to stop. His mother-in-law provided more effective support. Chappytsum realized that there isn't much a man can do during childbirth. He was given money to buy dinner, but ended up spending it on manga and a meal at a Chinese restaurant. The food was tasty and the experience was memorable.

It's a shop where everything costs 750 yen! There were many salarymen during lunchtime. I ordered the Chinese pork bowl with lots of vegetables.

I went to Tenshinbo for the first time! It's a Chinese restaurant that has been around for quite a while. Every time I pass by, I always think, "I should try going there," but I always forget... Today, it suddenly came to me that this is the place, and I remembered it! I visited around 12:30 on a holiday. When I entered the restaurant, it was spacious with no counter, just lots of table seats and a raised seating area. It seems like a family-run place, with a father, mother, and son working there. The menu has a wide variety of options. Today, I decided to go with Set A - Ramen & Mini Fried Rice for 900 yen. I chose soy sauce flavor. It was ready in about 5 minutes! The ramen had a traditional taste, with a light chicken broth. The flavor was a bit lacking in depth, but the noodles were a bit overcooked and soft. The fried rice was fluffy with a nice egg flavor and just the right amount of salt. It was delicious! If I were to visit again, I would try their rice dishes. Overall, it was a good experience for my first visit to Tenshinbo. Thank you for the meal!

Today I was in the mood for Chinese food, so I went to Tenshinbou. They had a wide variety of menu items, with a wall full of menu photos. It was hard to decide! I ordered the Ankake Yakisoba for 900 yen and Gyoza for 450 yen. The Ankake Yakisoba had a thick and flavorful sauce with plenty of ingredients, including plump shrimp. The vegetables were crunchy, and the bean sprouts, scallops, and squid were all well-prepared and delicious. The Gyoza came with a unique spicy miso sauce. Be careful, it's hot! The portion size was a bit small for the price. Next time, I'll try the Crab Fried Rice or Mapo Tofu. Thanks for the meal!

Expected high temperature of 30 degrees Celsius, in full chilled Chinese mode. Thinking of trying a new restaurant, but strangely, I was the only male customer among a group of female customers. Normally, don't women choose cleaner restaurants? The floor and tables of this restaurant were sticky and unpleasant. I won't be revisiting this place. As for the chilled Chinese dish, it was served with sesame sauce with a hint of sourness, making it refreshing. The pork shabu-shabu with onions paired well with it. The noodles were a bit thin and lacked presence. Surprisingly, the asparagus was fragrant and delicious. The unappetizing-looking quail egg turned out to be frozen lychee, which was a creative touch. The menu also includes Chinese-style pork bowl and ramen with olive oil added. Overall, there are unique menu options available.

[Visit in early March 2017] On this day, I was craving mapo tofu, but I also wanted to have ramen. I remembered that there was a place that offered a set of ramen and mapo tofu, so I decided to visit for the first time. The interior of the restaurant was spacious, with a typical Chinese restaurant atmosphere. There were even two sunken tables in the back. I ordered the B set, which included ramen and mapo tofu. The menu was quite extensive, and my companions seemed to have a hard time deciding. The ramen was quite ordinary, without any particular standout qualities, but it seemed like the restaurant focused more on Chinese-inspired ramen dishes. So, it might be better not to expect too much from the standalone ramen. The mapo tofu didn't have an immediate strong flavor, but it gradually developed a gentle and delicious taste. The spiciness and heat were mild, making it easy to eat and likely appealing to a wide range of people. I noticed they also offered a spicy version of mapo tofu on the menu, which I'm curious to try next time. While the ramen was just okay, I have higher hopes for the other Chinese dishes on the menu, so I look forward to returning and trying more. Thank you for the meal!

When it comes to minor restaurants, it might be rude to say, but if I don't visit non-mainstream places, I'll run out of material! This place is reliable after all! The routine review of "this place is stable" is just too meaningless. So, I went to this place that was featured in a local magazine for its dan dan noodles last month! The information said it's creamy! The service is, well, if you don't like it, you don't like it, but I didn't expect much so I don't mind! So, instead of dan dan noodles, I ordered the vegetable dan dan noodles for 900 yen! It comes with spicy garlic chives and kimchi. Now for the overall assessment! First, I tried to find the strengths of the soup! Where did the creaminess go? Where is the richness and umami? The vegetables! The garlic chives and kimchi are just a little bit! And there's bean sprouts too! The key flavoring of dan dan noodles - the meat - is as scarce as hen's teeth! The noodles lack chew and have a weird texture! My impression of the vegetable dan dan noodles is that it's passable, but the restaurant that serves this dish cannot be expected to offer other menu items that are any better! I didn't have high expectations this time, so it's not a disappointment, but I wouldn't expect much from this place in the future!

This is the first challenge of the year. Will it be a success or a failure? For the first restaurant visit of the year, I decided to try a new place that is not well-known. I usually go to "Son Goku" for ankake yakisoba, but this time I found a place called "Kata Ankake Yakisoba" in Obihiro through an online search. I decided to take the risk and try it out. The restaurant didn't have a great exterior, but I pushed myself to go in. The interior was simple with tables and a menu on the wall. I ordered the regular ankake yakisoba, but mistakenly thought I ordered the kata version. The dish arrived in about 10 minutes and looked appetizing. The flavor was a bit bland and lacked depth for my taste. Overall, I found the ankake yakisoba to be just okay. It might have been a risky start to the year, but it seems like I'll be sticking to safe choices for now.

This is a restaurant I found while exploring the old railway line of the former national railway in the eastern district of Obihiro. It is a Chinese restaurant located along the Shihoro Line (?). This time, I tried the local gourmet food since coming to Obihiro. Although the famous Aji Fukusan, known for its Chinese chirashi, has closed down, I found the restaurant called Tenshinbo located in a residential area that seems to blend in with the neighborhood. Despite being tempted by the menu item of Chinese-style pork bowl, I decided to order the Chinese chirashi. The dish was filled with ingredients such as squid, shrimp, bean sprouts, greens, and eggs. It seemed like a good addition to make up for the lack of dietary fiber while on a business trip. There may be different opinions on whether to remove the bean sprout roots, but they added a crunchy texture. The ingredients were stir-fried with a sweet flavor. It was a good combination with the rice. Although I didn't compare it with other restaurants, it felt light and easy on the stomach. Thank you for the meal.

At lunchtime, I happened to stop by this shop. There is a parking lot where you can park 2-3 cars next to the shop. When you enter the shop, you can smell the aroma of Chinese food along with smoke. Many menus are posted on the wall. Since the set meals are cheap, I ordered the "Ramen + Mini Fried Rice Set (800 yen)" in miso flavor. While cooking, the smell of Chinese food and smoke becomes stronger. Now, the noodles in the miso ramen are medium-thin and slightly soft. The soup is light and slightly sweet. The green onions are a good accent without bitterness. The mini fried rice is very light! The rice is chewy and has a nice texture. If you like stronger flavors, you might want to add salt or soy sauce? My companion ordered the Tianjin noodles, which were very delicious and they were hoping to revisit. Thank you for the meal!

I went to "Tenshinbo" to try their newly added menu item, "Kata Ankake" recently. There aren't many places in Obihiro that offer "Kata Yakisoba," so I was excited to try it. When I entered the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was that it was smoky and the ventilation wasn't very effective. I decided to ignore it and ordered the "Kata Ankake" and some gyoza. I could hear the satisfying sound of the noodles being fried in the kitchen. The noodles were crispy at first, then softened as they mixed with the savory sauce. It was delicious! The gyoza came with a special dipping sauce that was a bit spicy, so I added some soy sauce and vinegar to it. The gyoza had a thin skin and were easy to eat. Overall, the food was simple and tasty. The menu also offers unique items like Chinese-style pork bowl. I hope they improve the ventilation in the restaurant as my eyes were watering from the smoke (lol).

Last August, I heard about a unique variation of pork bowl, so I visited the restaurant around the time of the midsummer balloon festival. The restaurant had a typical "local Chinese eatery" atmosphere, with counters and tables lined up. I was intrigued by the interesting options like "Chinese-style pork bowl," but they also had "Chinese-style grilled pork bowl" and "Curry Chinese-style pork bowl." I decided to try the most intriguing one, the "Curry Chinese-style pork bowl." It arrived in about 10 minutes, piping hot and freshly made, and it was delicious! The flavors were distinctly Chinese, with a fresh asparagus spear in the middle. The meal also came with Chinese seaweed soup, mini cabbage, and pickled vegetables. Each menu item had its own unique twist, like the homemade sauce for the regular pork bowl. The "Chinese-style grilled pork bowl" had a different flavor profile, while the "Chinese-style pork bowl" featured fried pork, and the "Curry Chinese-style pork bowl" had a curry powder seasoning. The explanations made each dish sound interesting, and the fried pork with curry flavor was surprisingly good! The menu also featured other intriguing items like "Crab fried rice" and "Crab yakimeshi," as well as local dishes like "Chinese-style chirashi" and "Shio-olive oil noodles." I would love to go back and try more of their creative dishes, especially the "Shio-olive oil noodles" and "Chinese-style chirashi." Overall, it was a delightful dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

This is a small Chinese restaurant located east of the main street. There is parking space for one car next to the shop, but I'm not sure if there are other parking options. Inside, there are large communal tables, regular tables, and raised seating areas. I ordered the A set (ramen + mini fried rice for 800 yen). The ramen was a normal size, and the mini fried rice was just enough for me. The taste was neither good nor bad. It seems like they also offer delivery service. I noticed a menu item called "Curry-flavored Pork Bowl for 900 yen" that caught my interest.

On September 12, 2013, it was my first visit to this restaurant with my partner. My partner ordered the B set (ramen, small mapo tofu, and small rice), while I ordered the miso chashu. The miso chashu had a light soup with a refreshing taste of leeks. The soy sauce ramen my partner ordered was a classic light style, and the chashu was on the thinner side. The mapo tofu had a slight spiciness, but for those who like it spicy, it may be a bit lacking. Personally, I preferred the soy sauce flavor over the miso. If I come back next time, I would like to try the ankake yakisoba.
