This is a small hot spring inn located in the outskirts of Abashiri in eastern Hokkaido. The location is quite difficult to find, with no signboards, so it's recommended to confirm the details on their website or through a phone call when making a reservation, and to arrive with plenty of time. The building is clean and has a cozy villa-like atmosphere. It seems they only accommodate up to two groups per day. There is internet available, but no TV or refrigerator in the rooms, and the surroundings are quiet and surrounded by nature. The inn is non-smoking. Towels, bath towels, yukatas, and toothbrushes are provided, but other amenities are not. There is no tea or coffee in the rooms, but you can order drinks for an additional fee. They offer wine, bourbon, local beers, and sake from Nemuro and Kushiro. Meals are served on the first floor with large windows overlooking the garden. The dishes mainly use local ingredients and the original menu has a wide appeal with relatively common flavors. The presentation of the dishes is quite elaborate. Each dish was served individually, but the pace was a bit quick for my liking. The baths are private with both indoor and outdoor options, and the hot spring water is plentiful and soothing. The spring is a simple alkaline hot spring common in this area, with a temperature of 55.9°C, pH of 9.0, and powered by a natural spring. It was refreshing to bathe under the starry sky. The price for one night with two meals is around 14,000 yen, and drinks cost around 300-500 yen per glass. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The area is abundant in spring water, with many wild birds, making it enjoyable to take a leisurely walk around in the morning.
